    Yes, please! A brush video would be helpful.
    More brush techniques would also be welcome! I keep blow drying and odd bend into my hair. Straight from the root, then a bend where it goes around the brush. I don't hold it against my head to cool, so I'm not sure how I'm doing this!

    • @quitelight9693
      @quitelight9693 10 місяців тому

      @@sugargirl991 I've encountered it with both round and paddle brushes. In the year since I commented, I've changed my routine so I don't round brush the top of my head, so it comes up less often, or is less visible. Once in a while I still get the weird bend, though. I'm thinking it's brush placement interacting with my head shape at this point.

    I'm so lucky (I never thought I'd say that). I wash my hair and blow dry the top of my head - upside down. I can't get a round brush on the top. It would be woven in there like nobodies business. So I wash it, carefully brush it out when it's not too wet and wait until it's almost dry to blow the top. I'll do my ends to make them more crisp. This takes me no time. I also use dry shampoo. Love that. Thank you Gabi. You rock!

    Dear Gabi, I am over 60 and appear to be incapable to blow-dry my hair. I am not proud of this (but resigned) and mostly let it air dry. Since my hair is fine and thin would the Dyson air wrap be an option for somebody like me please? Does it cause damage? Many thanks if you get a chance to answer, another great video today.

    • @GlamGirlGabi

      The Dyson Airwrap would be an excellent option and it does not cause damage. Lots of attachments that I bet you would love. I use mine regularly. It’s an investment but it is truly worth it. The Airwrap attachments have a learning curve so just be mindful of that but the smoothing attachments are easy to use and awesome.

      What I do using one is that I lift at the roots with it, and only turn it inward slightly while pulling it through the hair . I only flip it more inward towards the ends. I do this fairly quickly, so if the strand is still damp, I go over it a couple more times. I don’t keep rolling the brush up and then pull repeatedly like she does, because my hair tends to tangle that way. Hope this makes sense. 😊

    • @GlamGirlGabi
      @GlamGirlGabi  2 роки тому +1

      Hey! To be 100 percent honest, they claim to do that but I don’t think they actually do. I just don’t see how that would happen on a biological level. Regardless of that, this blowdryer is so small, powerful and adorable. Don’t buy it yet though because there are some issues with the magnetic attachments. I spoke with them and they’re actually fixing it right now. The newer one won’t have that issue.

    Is a Mason Pearson brush worth the investment and how important is the brush you’re using. I’ve only owned wide tooth combs on my long med to thick hair.

    thank you for the video. I have noticed that sometimes when I blow dry my hair and than use the cold air at the end I get major static. Do you know why this maybe happening? I don't want to use dryer sheets for the static afterwards as I am sensitive to those chemicals. thx

      Hey! Yeah sure. I use Goldwell color. My roots and lowlights are 10vol 4N/4G (mixed equal parts). My highlights are done 20vol + lightener and toned with 8N

      Gabi, do you do your lowlights and highlights yourself? Or do you get it done at a salon? I need some encouragement and hearing that you do this to yourself at home would make me believe it IS possible! ALSO, if you only use 10 vol for your roots, I am assuming you don't have any grey hair?? I always heard that you need 20 vol to color your greys.

      @@pedrosandoval1853 I do it myself yes but I am a hairstylist so I am using. professional color. I use 10 vol on my roots because I don't have any grey hair (yet...I'm 36 so give me two to three more years...). I will do a video using Sally's color next time I need to do my hair. Stay tuned for that. Hopefully it will help.

    You're really pretty do you ever tuck your hair behind your ears as a hairstyle with a Sleek middle part I do that all the time and I love it I think it looks really good with big hoop earrings

      Yes I LOVE that look too!! It would look even better if I had longer hair but I agree that it’s so stylish and pretty.
