What beautiful scenery at the lake! I like to make breakfast burritos and freeze them wrapped in foil when we go camping. We just heat them up over the fire at the site for an easy breakfast!

We eat very similar when camping. I actually put my ‘fake’ plant in my sink when we travel. We were blessed with lots of our meals being made for us as we visited family this past week. The rhubarb crisp is new and I’ll definitely be doing that next time.

Fellow camper here from Edmonton, Alberta. Great video. We are looking forward to 5 days of camping near Barrhead at Clear Lake. My family has been going there for over 65 years and we are on our 7th generation. Mom and I plan a menu then prep what we can before we go. My go to favs are homemade farmer's wraps, foil meals (we are trying grilled pineapple and chicken packs this weekend), taco salad in a bag, homemade kabobs. I also prep beef dip and freeze it before we go, then warm it over the fire and serve it on buns. Protein balls without the protein powder. We bake muffins and have them with fresh fruit. I would be lost without a menu. Lol! The less time I spend cooking means more time to catch up with family and friends. I am considered a camping queen in my family. Lol! Have fun Christina! Great video!

I’m a ziplock kind of camper. I like to use them for the pancakes, I pack my dry pancake mix and then add the wet, squish to mix and then cut a small corner off and pour to make pancakes, then just throw it away. Also I pack my kids clothes in ziplock bags, their whole outfit in one bag. They just grab a bag and head to the showers. Our best family memories were made camping. I blinked and now they are 21 and 26. :(

I like to bring Ambrosia (also called Holiday Salad). It is kind of healthy because of the fruit and walnuts and a bit sweet with the marshmallows. It is a cool and refreshing on the day you reach the campsite and finish setting up and making dinner. Lake Louise and the entire area was beautiful. Makes me want to visit one day!

My kids absolutely love this recipe..
Peel and cut up potatoes, fry them add hotdogs(or cooked bacon or cooked sausage) beat some eggs add and let scramble up top with some cheese.. can be breakfast or lunch meal.. one pot.
Another fav is a throw away cake pan.. cut up onions, green bell peppers and kielbasa sausage cover with foil slow cook.. delish. I love camping we have a 1993 5th wheel that we are getting ready to remodel after this year's camping trips. I'm excited.

We love to cook in my cast iron Dutch Ovens. I can make anything I would bake in the oven at home with a few modifications.
My favorite hack for camp cooking is to prep a recipe before we leave and store it in my Food Saver bags, freeze it and put them into an ice chest in the reverse order we will be eating it. The longest lasting meals go on the bottom so we will be eating the foods earliest that might have a shorter life.
I have recently camped with an Instant Pot. One pot meals are the bomb! So easy to cook and clean up after.
Love your remodel! Great tastes and excellent ideas to keep the budget low! I would love to know what the repairs ended up costing.

I make my famous chili and corn bread at home, we freeze it and take it in the cooler. It thaws and reheats well on the campfire. You can bring some corn bread along, corn chips...toppings...also leave a small frozen container aside to go along with eggs in the morning.

I looooove your channel! I have been so inspired to buy an older, used camper. So, we did that. We bought a 19 90 Canadian made 30 foot award travel trailer. I've never heard of it in my life. But, we had faith and we went out on the limb and purchased it. When we started deconstructing, we found that the whole entire RV was water damaged from front to back bottom to top. Alas, we are in the process of little by little trying to get this RV remodeled and up to where we can utilize it. Sigh...

Well this is 2020, and I am so sad. No camping this year as we are still keeping our "bubble" small. I am 70, diabetic, COPD, etc. I love camping. I use a tent with a cott and cook on a picnic table. One of my favorite things to cook is bannock. I used to cook it in a frying pan, but I now I have an oven that is basically a metal box that sits on one side of the campstove.

Worms and Dirt from Goofy's Kitchen was a big hit with my kids on our last RV trip! Whisk 1 pkg. 3.9 oz. Chocolate Instant pudding with 2 cups cold milk for 2 minutes. Let stand for 5 minutes. Stir in 1 cup cool whip and 1/2 cup crushed oreos. Spoon into 8 dessert cups. Evenly distribute 2 cups crushed oreos over top. Refrigerate for 1 hour. Put 3 gummy worms into each dessert just before serving.

We have a special bkf scramble that we do only when we are camping. Scramble up about 8 eggs with a little milk, salt and pepper in a bowl. Set aside. In skillet, cook up 2 or 3 diced bacon. Spoon out of pan. Then add to bacon grease 1 diced potato. Cook half way. Then add to pot, half diced onion, half of a small diced spam, (yes I said spam), half diced green pepper. Cook, then add bacon back in. Mix and add eggs on low scramble till eggs are fluffy. This usually feeds 6 maybe. Enjoy!

We do apple or peach crisp using caned pie filling similar to your crisp. A super easy breackfast my family always eats during camping is sasage english muffins. It super easy simple quick breackfast to get us out the door quick. And protein keeps us full. Anyway just the English muffins, the frozen pre cooked sasage patty and cheese. Sometimes we will add egg or do a egg muffin instead.
