- 🌴We just got back from vacation! We left just 2 days before everything with the CoronaVirus hit! It was a little unsettling to be away from home at such a time, but we were still able to have a wonderful vacation! We were gone 10 days and we ate 28 out of 30 meals in the camper! Check out this video for some delicious meals to serve your family, camping or at home!

🍽 Recipes:
Crowd pleaser! :
Ham and Swiss Sliders
1lb sliced ham
24 slices Swiss cheese
24 Hawaiian Rolls
mayo and/or miracle whip
1 1/2 sticks butter
1 heaping tsp. poppy seeds
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons mustard
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
2 teaspoons dried onion
In a small bowl I like to mix a little miracle whip and mayo together and spread a super thin layer onto the inside of the roll. Place a slice of swiss and ham onto each, and place them all into a large baking dish very close together.
In a small sauce pan, melt the butter, set aside, and stir in all the other seasonings. Pour evenly over rolls. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours.
(Or if you are camping: Freeze in an air-tight bag before you add the butter and seasonings)
Bake covered at 375 degrees for 20 minutes, then 5 minutes uncovered 'til golden and crispy.
Raisin Bagel Breakfast Bake
For you recipe lovers, I created a version of this:

I simplified it and just mixed some melted butter, eggs, milk and cinnamon, with a splash of maple syrup in a bowl and poured it over the raisin bagel bits. Then when it came out, I added some maple syrup to some whipped cream cheese and drizzled it over the top! 😋
My Mama's Taco Salad
No recipe really I just...
-chop up a head lettuce or 2
-add some fresh diced tomatoes
-a can of black beans, drained and rinsed
-add some fresh raw sweet corn, sliced off the cob, if it's in season
-precooked and chilled taco meat, made from ground beef
-add some taco seasoning to thousand island dressing and mix through.
-top with shredded cheese and crushed Doritos - Навчання та стиль
Hey! Great video! However, for the safety of you and your family, I cannot stress enough not to use your oven while traveling. It’s a huge risk to take. In the event of even a minor accident that can be fatal. Propane will ignite much faster than gasoline or diesel. Also, if your flame was to go out and the fridge arced when it it turns on it can cause an explosion. Just something to think about.

Oh I love this video because it is so hard to feed 10 people. I also precook meals before we go camping to save money and time. We also found restaurants some times frown on large families due to seating. I do a lot of freezer meals also. We try and prepare grilling foods also so the camper doesn't heat up as much. Loved this video because we love camping

Meal planning is so important! Especially if you plan to actually cook the food at the campsite. It's the real camping experience. I'm going camping with my parents and some other family members (nine people in all) and we've never gone on a camping trip with so many people! We won't be staying too long, just staying the night for 2 nights and spending one full day there since we are arriving at 2:00 p.m. and leaving at 12:00 p.m.... we won't be having breakfast or lunch and dinner each day. It's kind of different from what I am used to but I know that meal planning will help us so much to know what we need to bring, make at home, and get ready to cook at the camp. It's going to be tons of fun with a little organization. Cool video! I just love watching these

Thanks Jessica! Tell your husband: if you bought a camper it still has all the convenient things your house does. And you could always resell the camper and get some money back. Vacations will be the price of gas money and a few cheap campground fees! LOL Doug and I used to tent it, but now since having so many kids, the camper is the way to go! Vacations would be too pricy without one! And I love having a bathroom for all my little girls who need to go every 2 hours!🤨😂

I feel like we spend a lot of money eating out and buying meals at the closest store of the fly...this would be so much easier and cost efficient! You can't tell too much that the alfredo is even in there, but it tastes much creamier. Also if you freeze it....add a couple extra splashes of milk!

Yes, we really did. If we had planned our trip for even 2 days later, we wouldn't have been able to go! Thankfully we didn't need to go out into the public much at all. Campers are so nice! :) Hope you are doing well, and staying safe too!

Oh my goodness, bungee cords to hold your table cover down, why didn't I think of that! Definitely borrowing that one. Going to have to try and Mac and cheese meal you premade too. Sounds yummy with alfredo sauce.

You are my travel meal prepping hero!! Haha. If all goes according to plan (pre-corona plan, that is), we're going camping twice this summer for a whole week each time! But unfortunately we do tent camp and won't have an oven 😕 Well, our second trip my in-laws are going too, so I guess we could use their oven 😁 I am thinking I'll work on some crock pot plans for our trips though! By the way, you have the cutest paper plates I've ever seen, hahaha! I'm glad y'all had fun and made it back safely despite the craziness!
Haha! It really only took me the Sunday School hour in the van to write some things down, and maybe 3 hours a few days before we left, dishes and all, to prep everything. It sure makes things so much easier! Of course it wasn't as healthful as normal. lol It would be much harder to cook things with a tent! When we did that I brought things like a loaf of bread and can of pizza sauce and cheese in a cooler. We made pizza pies and foil packets over the fire. Crockpot would be nice!! I hope you still get to go!!! If our trip was planned even for a couple days later, we probably wouldn't have been able to! We are hoping to go again in the fall, and I'll plan more for over the fire because we will be camping in one place, not traveling the country! Btw...paper plates are from Sam's Club!

Aw, thank you! Glad you found me!! I really want to start making videos again more consistently 😊 I've been having some computer issues. ~~ I actually don't have a recipe for it. All I do is mix into the noodles: melted butter, milk, cheese and a jar of prepared Alfredo sauce. Salt to taste. Top with bacon!
What kind of pan was that that you cooked the bacon in? I was looking at All Clad but the price is so expensive...
It's a big 5 qt. Cuisinart stainless steel sauté pan. I've had it for years and I use it almost everyday😄
