The level 3 reminded me about how a lot of people treat V-tubers. While I don't usually watch V-youtubers, I do know a lot of the drama that goes on in those communities. I can't remember any names of the particular V-tubers who were affected by the level 3 fans, but they claim to be in relationships with these youtubers who by the way mostly have a personality that goes for their character, not who they are. Recently, through this and last year, the prevelance of these parasocial relationships have risen shockingly high.
i have a para social imaginary best friend relationship. It's like, an art project or something. It's been a wild ride, but the objective observer in me recognizes it for what it is. Still, i can't say the emotions haven't been real.
as any teenager in 2024 i have parasocial relationships but i feel like im quite normal about them, even though i might talk about them alot i still know that i dont know the person and they have no idea who i am. yeah i have a lot of pictures of them in my phone, but i like them the same way i would like a show or a song even. they dont owe me antyhing
Had a really funny thing happen where there was this tiktoker I followed for years, and when I went to college it turned out we went to the same one. And then I had to learn how to be normal around them even tho I knew so much abt them. Liek we had classes together In a Small major and it was so weird and I didn’t want to make them uncomfortable
