was there in February 2008 no snow in the city but as we got the onsen there was a light dusting and made it so wonderful. Had some great noodle soup near the Karuma station - beautiful memories
winter wonderland! i visited Kurama years ago and took the same train. it was snowing and everything looked and felt magical. we went to an Onsen with outdoor hot spring. till today i remember how unreal it was dipping in the steaming water while heavy snow blanketed everything around us. magical.
My life in 2021 was a flaming tire fire with napalm sprinkles. Your travel vids are a very welcomed break between the madness. This particular vid is breath taking. You just can't take a bad image in Kyoto. It's so lovely.

2021 was just an all-around dumpster fire. I'm so grateful it's over. I am hoping that next year, maybe in the fall, I can travel to Japan. It seems like the last rational country on earth. I'm sure ya'all have your issues and problems but I deeply admire the efficiency, cleanliness, and politeness of Japan and its beauty. Thank you for the videos they are such an inspiration. These single-track lines in Japan are my favorite. I prefer them so much more over the bullet trains. Seem Kyoto has an abundance of cute trains. I also like the train to Nara. It is enjoyable because it seems like an old model but is maintained so well it feels new.

Brought back memories. My daughter and I went to Kibune and hiked over the mountain in Autumn '19. Caught the train back from Kurama after a delicious meal. Thank you for your journeys, keeping dreams alive of returning to Japan hopefully soon. Happy New year!

It's been a frustrating time. I did have a successful hip replacement in July. Waiting to do the other hip. Other than that, all is quiet. It's ok. Looking forward to this new year. The winter is so cold but this magical views are the most beautiful thing I do like. It reminds me my first winter here in Japan 30 years ago!! I did play around the yards of our place because the snow is so beautiful…….. I remember getting sick because I help to shovel the snow ❄️ so our car can go in and out. Sad thing is , there’s no so much snow lately compared then……..

beginning of the year was great until the december 12 came and got a fracture pelvic by slipping on the ice so now i am watching you travel instead because i am to chicken to travel myself

The warm white balance makes the snow seem to leach the color off the scenery turning parts in an almost b&w film So stark and beautiful.
