A. I learnt so much about alkaline and acid. B. She’s amazing doing it for free for people who aren’t in a position to pay or do it themselves. What an amazingly generous and knowledgable woman!
Your degreaser probably *is* an alkaline product. And you might not want to use oven cleaner on all surfaces, because oven cleaner is really harsh. But there is another trick: first, wipe a sticky surface with dried on grease (like on the top of kitchen cupboards) with oil (! yes, oil), then, once the sticky stuff comes loose, use dishwashing detergent to finish. Oil works well for degreasing. Eg. after you have worked on your car or bike and have black grease on your hands, the quickest way is to wash with WD40, then wash off the WD40 with soap. No scrubbing needed. You can also use WD40 on some surfaces (eg everything steel and glass) but not on certain plastics because it will ruin them, so be careful what you put it on.
@@patdaddymusic cleaning grease works with any oil but I used a cheap cooking oil (don't use your expensive extra virgin olive oil) to clean the grease from the top shelves in my kitchen. I'm not sure if I would use a very heavy oil like motor oil to clean a kitchen because while it would work to "dissolve" the grease, you still have to wipe and wash off the actual oil afterwards with something soapy, like dishwashing detergent. Capitalists: but wait I thought humans were inherently selfish
She's obviously someone who doesn't need the money. But to take time and energy out of her life to do something like that for people without expecting anything in return just out of the goodness of her heart is absolutely amazing.
There are tons of people in the world who have more money than they need, and they don't do things like this. What a sweet person.
Right! That’s nice of you
You can use this as a torture video for your grandma and mother...
One of my favourite things about Insider is that they don't correct anyone's grammar in their subtitles, and just put down what they actually said. I always find it a tiny bit disrespectful and rude to correct people in the subtitles, especially seeing as they probably will never know unless they watch the video subtitled. Linguistic individuality and variety is one of the most beautiful, fascinating things in the world and I am SO glad Insider isn't erasing that! Seeing all the different ways in which English is used is just magical to me, and as I'm writing this I am also realising how nerdy I sound... Auri is an amazing woman, she deserves every good thing in the world! Also, she is so knowledgeable in her area, just a wonderful person all-around.
