Eddy's ongoing crusade to cause Rarran to suffer as much psychic damage as possible whenever he reads the word "shuffle" is my new favorite Hearthstone bit.
@vietquang8739 We do have the luxury of viewer knowledge, true. But even then, a chance to snipe it from deck...and he's already ahead on board (It was kinda alluded to him having it with "next turn is gonna be nutty" too I guess. He has the Shudder in mind)
Try: -Choosing a color for the art and build a deck with cards that have (mostly) that color -Building a deck that has only 3 cards of each cost from 1 to 10 -Playing cards only when your hand is full
How do you space this so flawlessly, I'm getting so excited because every time I barely forget about one of your formats, you are posting a new video in this format, your are so awesome ❤
Something that would be funny with these challenges is having each player spinning a wheel with a set of rule so they have different one. Like, among those you've already done, "you gotta top deck vs spell only deck", or something like that
"There's a real chance you're about to get super tilted, but it's very unlikely" Famous last words before getting super tilted with very unlikely odds.
Even still, buying physical cards is better because at minimum they actually costed something to make, definitely better to proxy anything slightly expensive thou
The reason why physical cards being more expensive is okay is because they can be resold later on. Hearthstone is "expensive" because you can never liquidate your collection. Additionally in physical card games buying only the cards for your deck without submitting to randomness is possible while Hearthstone requires opening packs or spending dust.
idea: HS but you have to plan each turn 1 turn in advance. during your turn (except the first), you have to decide what each one of your characters is going to do, and what cards you're going to play, on what targets. you plan your turn after finishing your current turn, but before seeing your opponent's (obviously) - you have to specifically plan out each target for each spell, minion, etc. - you can't plan for a hypothetical, like "if he plays a minion i hit it" or "if i topdeck removal i play it" - you can't have multiple plans, like "if that minion is still alive i kill it, if not i go face" - if you were going to target something with a spell, and that something is removed, you can no longer cast that spell - if you were going to attack with a minion (or hero), but suddenly there's a taunt in the way, you can no longer attack with those characters - you have to plan hero powers, and if a hero power requires targeting you have to specify the target in advance - you can have overlapping order, like planning to overkill a minion in case one of your minions is removed - a character/card that doesn't have planned orders can do nothing and can't be played
You missed lethal on your Last turn on the last game: Hero Power hits for 3, and disciple of cthun for 2, it can hit face, atunci the 5 life that Eddy had
New format idea : High highlander, were your deck can run only one card from each existing set (and cavern of time and core set cards that are reprint can't be played to cheat out this mechanic)
i think if u ever do a "lighting round" of this having a game where u can only play 1 card a turn that cost 1 or 2 mana or more has it can be interesting (say u ban sharpshooter) and a idea for the next do u know hearthstone u can have them guess if a card is "from caverns of time or caverns of mind" (real or fake) can be fun
1:30 the thing with physical tgc is that they are physical cards. You can't resell what you bought from Bobby. I've sold of my mtg card for ten time what I paid them back then.
Rarren great video! What if you made 3 decks from one class without reusing cards in any of them. Maybe play a singleton (Highlander) to make it more difficult!
1:40 Yeah, but with physical you actually have it in your hand. If HS shuts down, it's gone lol Also, you kinda lose your cards every rotation, so you are obligated to buy more packs, which is pretty horrible
Talking about spending money on cards, I transitioned to mtg over the summer and quickly realized I spent more money on that in 3 months then I did on hearthstone over the course of a year, irl cards suck up money like no other
Rarran, how about limiting the types of cards you play. If you play a minion first in the turn you can only play minions and if you play a spell first in a turn you can only play spells that turn
@@Rarran Maybe one of these? I dont really know what kinda decks and cards are around these days but my brain went right to mill decks. I guess eddy's warlock kinda worked with it but just like... if you can only play 1 card a turn then drawing is genuinely pretty bad for you
@@MrShukaku1991 Maybe for some, but to me it's certainly a lot. I started thinking if I had a hobby that I spent that much money on, and I don't think I have one, the closest one is my PC, but I don't think I've spent that much money even on my PC.
Id honestpy love to see them bring back all the Galakronds packages into the core set some time. I feel like thryre always too safe and boring with the clre set changes and not enough is mixed up. We only get 1 core set change a year and every time its underwhelming. We need more shit like Caverns of Time or Doom in the Tomb too. Things that can really throw the meta into new directions midway through a cycle.
"I don't know if I want to play Shudderwock here..."
*obliterates enemy side, fills board, nearly full heals*
I was laughing so hard, it also dealt 18 directly to Rarran's face lol.
Shoulda played patchwerk!
“It’s literally a trump card, if the trump card literally flipped the table and shot the other player!”

Eddy's ongoing crusade to cause Rarran to suffer as much psychic damage as possible whenever he reads the word "shuffle" is my new favorite Hearthstone bit.
it's not psychic damage, it's emotional damage or psychological damage, which is prolly what you thought psychic meant but it's not exactly the same.
@@NocturnalPyro I suggest you look up "psychic damage dnd".
@NocturnalPyro if you understood what someone meant by the words they used, they used the right words.
Literally shidding and farding at Rarran not playing the Pathwerk to try and snipe the Shudder XD
Ah yes cuz he defo knows shudder is in Eddy's hand

@@vietquang8739 It was _definitely_ the correct play regardless. Patchwerk plus hero power lets him swing the 10/10 face too.
According to my calculations:
One card per turn = Questline Priest
Big priest tho
That was literally my first thought yeah
Same here though. Literally the whole point is to play one on-curve card each turn
Try:
-Choosing a color for the art and build a deck with cards that have (mostly) that color

"I spent $5,500 on Hearthstone"
"That's not too bad"
O_o
That seems crazy to me thats like 550$ a year
You guys are so fun together in these videos. Love the creativity
they have a rapport
I love eddy smiling as he quietly adds another splinter of trauma to Rarran's brain
13:57 Eddy plays doomkin.
Coin that he used before doomkin: 👍
It's Eddy! "Yippie!" (tiny claps)
9:07 damn Rarran yelled like his first-born was killed in front of him.
How do you space this so flawlessly, I'm getting so excited because every time I barely forget about one of your formats, you are posting a new video in this format, your are so awesome ❤
My favourite series to watch on UA-cam :)
After a tiring day, your videos are comforting. Thanks, Rarran & Lt Eddy!
As someone who hasnt played regular hearthstone in forever:
"the CBD commander." huh?
"no... the CBT commander" *HUH?*
The concepts is always so creative❤
Something that would be funny with these challenges is having each player spinning a wheel with a set of rule so they have different one. Like, among those you've already done, "you gotta top deck vs spell only deck", or something like that
This could be an ideal challenge for the Quest Priest
Seagulls, Weasels, Curse of Rafaam - would all just ruin your opponents mood in this ruleset.
"There's a real chance you're about to get super tilted, but it's very unlikely"
Famous last words before getting super tilted with very unlikely odds.
These games slowly turn Eddy into an actual war criminal.
The portion about physical games hits so hard now that I've gotten back into MTG
I can't stop buying cards

I haven't played Hearthstone in years at this point, but I'll always click a video with you and Eddy. Such good shit
This was such a cool video idea. I swear Rarran's got infinite creativity
That C'thun actually doing Rarran dirty, if he had 1 more damage on face even he had lethal on that final turn
The fact that Eddy didn't use this as an opportunity bring sealgulls part 2 makes me sad
These videos always have a nice podcast feel to them

Love this combination, almost as good as Rarran + Reynad
Nothin better laying in bed with some coffee and watching some Rarran and Eddy
Seeing the C'thun hero after being away from HS for like 4 years is insane.
The shudderwock turn was wild.
You missed lethal on your Last turn on the last game: Hero Power hits for 3, and disciple of cthun for 2, it can hit face, atunci the 5 life that Eddy had
that hero power only does 2 damage + 1 damage to all minions, so that wouldn't have worked
