    I’m from New England but have twice has the amazing experience of visiting the Utah Canyonlands. First time was in the early 80’s for two weeks of backpacking and the second time was about 15 years ago in an RV, boondocking for 10 days. Such an amazingly beautiful area…. I would do another Canyonlands trip in a heartbeat!

      Ooooooo we can’t wait to get to Canyonlands. When we get around to Utah again we have it on our list with Capitol Reef and Moab. There just wasn’t enough time to see it all. Just stunning.

      @@liketheresnotomorrow For the RV trip we started in Grand Jct, CO. (Do not miss Colorado National Monument if you're in Grand Jct!)
      Then we drove toward Moab, beautiful drive! Then after a couple of days in Moab, we worked our way down to Four Corners (Meh, on Four Corners... wish I hadn't wasted all the miles/time in that area.)
      BUT, heading back north to Grand Jct via the Western side of Colorado was awesome.
      We did the trip in 10 days and I wish we had even more time. If you can invest more time driving off the beaten path on your way South from Moab, that area of Canyonlands is just beyond amazing. One night at a BLM site, facing toward the west, we watched a thunderstorm coming in WAAAY of in the distance as the sun was setting. I will never forget that. LOVE the BLM sites for camping!

    What your audience doesn't realize is that you, Barry Nicholson, are one of the funkiest bass players/vocalists I know! We miss you here in Sarasota but love seeing you and Darlene "on the road"!

    Hey guys, what time of the year are you referring to as being to hot to boonedock in the area?
    Great video!

    • @liketheresnotomorrow
      @liketheresnotomorrow  6 місяців тому

      It was Moab and in September. It was still in the 80s and we aren’t into boondocking when it’s hot, mainly because we are working most days and inside. Bryce and Zion were totally fine.

    When you set up on BLM land did you leave your rig there during the day while you hiked Zion? Did you stay in that one spot the whole time you were in the Zion area?

    • @liketheresnotomorrow
      @liketheresnotomorrow  4 місяці тому +1

      We stayed in one boondocking spot the whole time. We left the rig without any issue, the dog is a great deterrent and we lock or chain everything. But honestly, we have never had any issue on blm land. The issues with theft is always at the parks! lol
