  • ℹ️ About the Episode
    In our latest video, join us for an insider's tour of the 44ft Alliance Valor that's been our full-time home since becoming empty nesters and hitting the road in 2022. Though new to RVing then, we've since embraced off-grid boondocking and made this rig our own after 19 months of living and working between its walls. 🚐 As we showcase decked-out mods for work like the dual office spaces, highlight features like two spacious patios (including the sought-after side patio!) , and personal touches turning this toy hauler into a “real home,” you’ll hear the good and bad from lessons learned about fifth wheel living. Whether you dream of a luxury home on wheels, full-time travel with space to spare, or simply love seeing inventive RV renovations, you’ll appreciate this up-close look inside our beloved Alliance Valor 42v13. 👇

    Just started the planning process (within the last month) to go from "Never done it" to "Living on the road full time" and really appreciate ALL of the info you guys provide. I too will be working full time in my rig and wanted to how you pack everything up before you travel -- maybe you guys could do a "Travel Day Prep" video and walk us through it. Especially interested in how you stow your monitors and other items that could easily be broken with one short stop or hard turn. Thanks!

    Thanks for sharing the tour of your home. I got a few good ideas for storage and organizing. We have not boondocked yet and my husband is super anxious for us to try it. I work from the RV while on the road and still need a lot of power. We are slowly improving our solar system once we can get that done we may get it a go.

      Dooooo it! It took several attempts to learn and get it right, but we love it. We won’t do it as much in the summer but all fall, winter and spring we’ll be enjoying it. Thanks for watching!

    Another great video!
    Some future topics I think would be interesting to see
    1. What to look for when choosing a vehicle to tow an RV.
    2. Being working nomads, what do you do about your mail, taxes, things us homesteaders would know nothing about.
    3. Top 10 things like 10 things you miss the most, things you things you love the most, things 10 thingsyou learned about yourselves
    Keep up the great videos!

    Just recently found your channel. Love your Toy Hauler and how you have decorated it.We aren't full timers, but we are retired. We went from a 37 Ft Montana to a 44 Ft class A Disel Pusher 10 months ago and will be taking our first long trip through the coast of Ca, Oregon and Washington this summer.

    Nice tour! I believe Boondocking is the way to go. And for that reason, I’ve invested a fairly significant amount in my own power system. And pretty much I’m just committed to having to do modifications whenever I decide to change a rig. I’ve decided I’m in the right rig for right now, and if something changes I’ll be willing to pivot. My next pivot is selling my house that I had turned into an Airbnb when I went on the road full-time. Just published the first video about that this afternoon.
    Hey, you went completely unconventional and didn’t talk about the exterior features.good Anya!

      lol yea. It was rainy and super windy so we pivoted. We’ll do outside later. We sold our house after leasing it for a year. It sold in 2 days!

    the 10 yr rule keeps us from doing it again. We full timed in the 06 to 12 time period and the problem is time. When you buy a brand new 100k (now) rig it starts 2 clocks, one depreciation 30% immediately and in 10 yrs not welcome in the good places. I did some research because we have 300k in equity in our house and my military retirement is set income and not taxed and i found that more and more parks every summer are making it harder. My brother with a 2022 rig he is asked for pictures just to make a reservation and that's shocking. If i were to do full time again i would never buy new, so i was looking at 2019 models and i'm already into the count down 5 yrs, at 74k into it just purchase not even upgrades, with zero hope of reselling it in 5 yrs. Yes we could boondock a lot but my wife likes being around a pool once in a while. No, but i'm looking into why no one has sued these parks yet, because this plus one summer of nationwide boycotts on their parks and they will join red lobster in bankruptcy court. I love the road 40 yrs my dad drove for greyhound i have been to 29 states before i was 13, but its getting further away daily.

    • @liketheresnotomorrow
      @liketheresnotomorrow  4 місяці тому

      No they don’t make it any longer from what I understand but I’ve seen a few people sell theirs. That’s how we got ours. Thanks for the sub. The link to the tables is in the description. There are a few different colors too

    Great video! Thank you for sharing. I’m actually looking to do the same thing in my garage when I get my toy hauler. Since I will likely be reconfiguring the garage myself, I wanted to ask if you folks could do a video on how exactly you took the desks from Amazon and connected them to the happy jack system.
    I also love the little decorative touches you have throughout your RV! 😊

    • @liketheresnotomorrow
      @liketheresnotomorrow  4 місяці тому

      Sure. If we can find some time I’ll have my husband do a short on the desks. He said that you literally just take the screws off the seats where it connects to the bench seats. You now have the long bracket left. Take the same screws and use them to attach the desk tops. He said it was super easy. I got a lot of the decor on Amazon and Hobby Lobby

    Tell us more about this new shower door option! Where did you get it?
    We have two young kiddos and we like our Jayco Northpoint 377rlbh but we already crave the 2 fold out porch toy hauler life so this looks pretty neat - lots of windows was a must for us too

    • @liketheresnotomorrow
      @liketheresnotomorrow  4 місяці тому

      I have the link to the shower in the video description, but I’ll be honest, if your kids are really young I’d skip it. If they pushed on it I’m not sure how it would hold up.
      The two porches are THE BEST and we haven’t been in many spots where the side patio couldn’t be put out. That extra living space would be great with kids.

    • @liketheresnotomorrow

    Do you all connect your computers via WiFi or with Ethernet? I am wfh but my company makes us connect our computers to an Ethernet connection, so that’s something that concerns me/ I’m curious on how that could be done in RV

    • @liketheresnotomorrow
      @liketheresnotomorrow  Місяць тому +1

      WiFi. We don’t have any Ethernet requirements. I know there are people who work with secured networks on the road, so I know it can be done, just not sure how they do it. Or manage it.
