I'm increasingly liking this very own visual language, which you continue to develop and expand in ever more differentiated ways. And about the music? I don't have to say a word about it - because you know I like what you've chosen here.
My attention is always drawn to the individual people in the crowd. I really like that I can concentrate so much while watching. That I can look calmly, that I can let myself be carried away by these moving images and the resulting photographs. Oh look! This man: 0:47 - what will he think, what is he waiting for? Or does he not wait at all and just observes what is happening around him? And even the view of the 1:13 bicycle that is ajar. It seems to be patiently waiting for the owner ;-).
And when “Satie” begins - how happy my ears become and they accompany my eyes so that they can take a closer look. At around 2:47 the Hitchcock effect suddenly appears again ;-) - just a few moving image sequences longer than he ever dared to do in his movies. That's why you always had to be extremely attentive to even notice it. Because in an instant he was invisible again. And I discovered another difference: he never filmed himself performing ;-).
Here 3:34 you first look through a window before going straight to the scene to take your photo. Because we as viewers are usually curious about what exactly is happening there and want to see it up close.
I like the shot from 4:32 onwards - thanks to the mirror we can observe several levels at the same time. The architecture and reflections from 4:56! In the urban canyons the people are comparatively small.
And this photo 7:51 - the light and shadow effects. E.g. the tree from which we only see the shadow. And in what way the man - on the right in the picture - influences this scene.
I like the drama of the music from the second half of the video. This supports a rush hour-like pace where people move in a hurry.
Yes - and some photos have to be in color ;-) - like this one at 10:14 - or this one at 10:30, that's understandable.
Your GRIII was a good companion again - or vice versa? I think both are kind of true. Greetings - Monika

      Thanks once again, Monika :)
I’m happy that the music really came through in conveying what I felt while walking around, from the more peaceful moments of just walking around taking photos to the feeling of getting lost in all the traffic and pedestrians in the second half.
And yes, the GR is always a perfect companion! Honestly, it’s probably my favorite camera at the moment for just taking photos ☺️
      Have a great week!

Hehehe it was a charming area, just didn’t see much that I felt like shooting 😅
Maybe it’d have been better after dark 🤷‍♂️😁

Funny, this year I said that I'm only going to shoot in black and white, just to do something different. Well, I heard about this place in the spring that had a huge field of tulips and well, that ended that idea! 😄

Hehehe yeah I can totally relate. I love black and white, but sometimes those colors are too good to pass up. At the end of the day, as long as we’re having a good time, that's all that really matters 😉

Lots of great reds around Shinjuku that day! Not sure if it's the camera's color science or your edits, but they really popped!

      I edit pretty minimally 😉
But yeah, there were some great colors that day!

I was wondering if your black and white videos were also shot with GR3?

Nah, the videos are always with the XT5. The ricoh’s video features are not good, unfortunately.
