Video was a family gem today. Enjoy family, those pics will never happen again. Liberty is such an eye opening experience and seeing her from your boat will always be cherished. Enjoy
Nonstop smiles and a few happy tears watching this! What a surreal and special day in so many ways ❤️ You cruised in your own freaking boat from Florida to the Statue of Liberty 😱🎉 Also, shoutout to Carol! Always makes us smile and laugh when she makes an appearance!
When I’m officially a Looper, NYC is definitely on my “Must see” list. As a retired Midwest Firefighter, I’m hoping to be there around 9/11 and toast some friends I’ve met at fire conferences who didn’t make it out of the towers.
NYC will not disappoint, and while we missed the 9/11 memorial this trip, we did see it in the past. Jen's uncle was a firefighter who was a part of the rescue efforts of 9/11.
Jen, if you lay down and close your eyes for a few minutes, it really helps with the sea sickness. I speak from 20 years of Navy experience. Dramamine became my bestest friend!☺️
There is a product called ON/OFF which will take that "mustache" off very easily. Loved seeing the Statue of Liberty. Glad to see that you were able to get pics of Pivot with the statue in the background. As a pilot I loved the helicopter fly over!
I really liked your intro on this video. Enjoyed the expose of New York harbor and the joy you've shown in your happiness to be there. You give us an honest description of your situations and don't exaggerate or sugarcoat the difficulties you are experiencing. Thank you two for the effort you put into making these videos so informative and enjoyable for all of us.
I am crushed…just heard from the owner of a boat across from ours in Charlevoix (Ed) that you were HERE last night, only three boats down from us, and I walked by Pivot dozens of times and didn’t know it since you were bow-in and I couldn’t see the name. (Our boat is a silvery-gray Tiara called “Relevance” from Suttons Bay). Even worse, I realize now that I walked right by the two of you, WITH OLLIE, and commented on your cute dog, and I can’t BELIEVE I didn’t figure out who it was! I guess I’ve been figuring you were farther south, so I wasn’t watching for you. I am really disappointed that I didn’t get to meet you and thank you in person for your wonderful, honest, videos detailing your extraordinary journey. Wishing you a safe trip the rest of the way down Lake Michigan! Kicking myself in Charlevoix, Kari Karr
Ahhh shoot! When our videos are from back here its hard to put 2 and 2 together 😁 It's a shame we only stopped in Charlevoix for the day, it was such a lovely spot! Who knows, we may cross paths at sometime in the future too, thanks for the digital hello!!
These diamond shaped dayboards can be used to help the vessel operator determine his/her location. They are like the "X's" on shopping mall maps "You Are Here." An appropriate nautical chart must be consulted to determine location.
I love your new intro - great job! I loved the views of NY Harbor, NY skyline, Statue of Liberty, the helicopter fly-by. Carol is such a natural on camera! Jen - it was touching to see you get so emotional about being in NY Harbor. You two are going a fabulous job with the video.
I love the new intro! I also love NYC…great video! How nice to have your mom aboard, Jenn! Seeing Lady Liberty from the water is awesome! Keep safe in your travels!
This is my favorite video by far. Just seeing NYC, and especially seeing it at night time. You two did a GREAT job making this video. Oh, how I miss NYC. P.S. The new intro is awesome.
We smiled through the whole video!!! Wow!! We live in CT and can’t wait to see that skyline from the water! Awesome video!! I can see why you were emotional Jenn.😊
I have never been to NYC, and don't know when I would, but I love your video. I have only seen Hollywood videos of the area such as Spiderman. Thank you.
Wow, that was a special episode. I've never been to NYC or Ellis Island but they are bucket list destinations. Plus, Catan is my favorite game of all time. So fun!
If you guys ever wanted to change the name of you channel/vlog, I stumbled onto a fun name for you "Little Dog on the Water" (in honor of Ollie). LOL! I just couldn't remember the other night when I was asking my wife if she wanted to watch you channel. Happy Boating & keep up the great work!!
Love your new intro y’all. We are following on MarineTraffic. Hope you are enjoying Chi-town. If you get the chance, the best deep dish pizza in the world is at Pequad’s Pizza! Totally worth the price of an Uber ride.
I've been across the Veronzano bridge so many times delivering flowers all through NY.. there was one giant pot hole on the Brooklyn side in the right lane that destroyed a whole truck load of flowers 😂. And when biden first took office i went up to the NY Conn line near Greenwich and diesel fuel up there was $8.88 a gallon!!!!!
was contemplating doing the loop. but putting around doing 8knots isn't my style. crossing to bimini is on my agenda. that's more of a challenge for me.
You can cruise through at higher speeds, if that is your taste. But, I think that you'd miss many of the sights along the way. Which, to many of us, is part of the magic. I did part of the loop on a performance yacht. 20+ knots on the outside. Burned $5k in fuel a day. I'll take my little trawler any day.
Sure! Not sure where from, but I'm sure you could find a boat ramp in the area. Just make sure its a day with very very light winds and you should be perfectly fine!
We used too, but now that we are much more experienced we do not. Fortunately too, Carol has had a good amount of sailing experience so she knew a bit of the ropes 😁
Ok. Gotta ask. Does the Captain have a real Tilley hat? I've got two and love mine. They float too! Some of my fellow boaters used to make fun of me telling me that it was a "blow boater's" hat. She was a shrimp boat Captain daughter. She would scream if I said "drive" the boat! Then she'd curse at me in fun and tell me you don't drive boats, only cars. You pilot them! Marsha was a mess. I was her preacher at Carolina Beach. I have done many funerals on boats. We buried a shrimp boat Captain off his trawler after the service topside full of mourners. The most beautiful funeral I ever did was at sunset. 20 boats headed out the inlet to the last buoy. I did all the prayers over the vhf. We put the ashes in the water, the flowers, then all circled together that body 7 times then went back thru the inlet as the sun was setting. Never forgot it. Got to get you a Tilley hat!!!
Wow, you've had quite the experiences Will! It isn't a real tilley, they are some hats we got when we were traveling in Australia. Might upgrade to a tilly one day! 😁
Thank you for watching! This video was filmed on June 15th.

Love the weekly EM! Thanks!
"Rocky and Rolly" - making me seasick too! Neat flyover!! Lower Manhatten at sunset - Beautiful. Amazing night shots of the Ciry!
That is amazing that you have someone to do that with. Living life to it's fullest
Mom was the star today. looks like a kid in a candy store dunking her feet in the lower harbor!! So cool for her. Bravo!!
Love the new opening. Glad you had such great weather for this iconic day 🙂
Thanks so much Michael!

Wow…just truly amazing! As a LEO helicopter pilot I truly can appreciate the flyover!
Seriously! We were very lucky! Once in a lifetime!

I like your new intro
Thank you Virginia 😁
That is on our looper bucket list as well. Thanks for the videos!!
Sweet! Our pleasure 😁
I think you guys ought to have Jen share some of her favorite recipes that's always a nice video!
Agreed. She seems to have plenty of "healthy" recipes.
Absolutely! Will be doing that at somepoint 😁
Wow, what a busy harbor! Lovely day for your cruise though.
Thanks for sharing this amazing experiences on your journey. This one is unbelievable.

I like your new intro. Great video as always, thanks.
Thanks Larry!
A personal flyover!! Saaa-weeeeeet!
So lucky!
The mast on your boat was primarily used with a sail to steady the boat in a traditionally rigged motor trawler. You may find it helps with rocking.
Will have to give it a shot one day!
Fun seeing you stop at Liberty Landing Marina. We lived on our sailboat there for three years before sailing to South America. Thanks for the memories

I love watching your journey. This video was amazing, and as Americana as it gets. Thank you for sharing with us.
Thank you Olaf!
Thanks you all. Great video that really touched my heart.
Thanks Kevin!

Thanks so much Suzanne!! It was very special 😁
Congratulations NY is definitely a milestone on the loop. Hard to believe but the loop only gets better from here.
Hard to imagine, today was truly awesome!
Ollie, you have arrived, you got proper billing..... all of you, stay safe, Tim and Cat
Thanks y'all!
Awesome!! Oh, ask David about that checkered green at Great Kills! BTW....I always blast the song "New York, New York" every time we cruise through!!
Hehe will have to ask next time we see y'all.... it definitely tripped me up 😁
That rail could use a little varnish.
👍

Early 💪🏼💪🏼, this is by the best production of a looper channel I’ve seen by FAR. Just perfect.
Thanks so much Bobby!
NYC.....very very very very cool !!!
Thanks Mike!
I love "Settlers of Catan", especially the "Seafarers" expansion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
haha we have that one onboard as well! Tons of fun!
This is my favorite video by far. Just seeing NYC, and especially seeing it at night time. You two did a GREAT job making this video. Oh, how I miss NYC. P.S. The new intro is awesome.

Aww thanks Karen 😁
That’s my country as a kid, Hudson River, lived in Newburgh, Kingston, and port jervis on the delaware
Nice
I have never been to NYC, and don't know when I would, but I love your video. I have only seen Hollywood videos of the area such as Spiderman. Thank you.
Thank you for watching Mindi 😁

That was spectacular!!! 🤗
Thanks Christina 😁
" Ditto ! " 🥰
What a small world. I’m docked right next door at Mansion Marina. Hope you guys enjoy your stay!
Oh Cool!
Love the new intro!
That’s where you get it from. Cool cruise
Jenns face was turning the same color as the cushions there for a bit.

Lol too funny
hi great video, the Bimini top is too tall for the great loop?
Thanks! 19ft 6in is the max height for the great loop, in our case our bimini rests around 15+ feet so we are all good :)
Love your new intro y’all. We are following on MarineTraffic. Hope you are enjoying Chi-town. If you get the chance, the best deep dish pizza in the world is at Pequad’s Pizza! Totally worth the price of an Uber ride.
Will have to visit! BTW that is a different Pivot although we aren't too far away 😁
Gotcha! I’ll search for the “genuine” Pivot.😊

Lot's of people do the loop at higher speeds and then slow down for the interesting parts. There isn't one right way to do it 🤙
I want to visit Liberty on my 17’ Boston Whaler. What do you guys think? Doable??
Sure! Not sure where from, but I'm sure you could find a boat ramp in the area. Just make sure its a day with very very light winds and you should be perfectly fine!
Are you gonna have to haul out for winter?
Negative! This is our full time home, hauling out for the winter isn't much of an option for us 😁
@@SchoandJo how far behind are your videos, are you past great lakes yet
Love all your videos! And what kind of hat is Jen wearing?
Thanks Paula! That is a hat we got from in Australia 😁 Nothing special just a nice wide brimmed hat for good sun protection 😁
I was like number 19! #justsayin
haha thanks David!
As a Long Islander and an Architect curious to know if you had interest in the mansions built in the heyday of the Gold Coast?
Not in particular but always love to learn!
Do you feel more stressed when family is on board??
We used too, but now that we are much more experienced we do not. Fortunately too, Carol has had a good amount of sailing experience so she knew a bit of the ropes 😁
Allegedly, Lady liberty has been seen from 60 miles away in clear weather. Where is the sea curve?
We only saw it a few miles away, and it was beautiful!
Love it ‼️ 👍 🇺🇸 ✨ 🌊💨🛥🏝🌞✨
Thanks Richard 😁😁😁
