Remove the valve cover clean the rubber gasket and put gasket maker over it and reinstall it. save 140.00. Learn to work on the bike, get manual and adjust the valves . Once you get to the valves it's not hard to adjust them.
First off, I'm so jealous that you ride in Hawaii. That has to be amazing. The bike gets up close to 230 if you are stopped at a light. If you are moving at speed, it hovers around 200. One time it got to 242 and my warning lights came on so I shut it off for a few minutes. But that was in gridlock traffic in June. Only happened once.
@@rsv4pilot114 Yeah Hawaii is dope and a strong bike community. Hottest my Yamaha has gotten 228F. Riding with lot of red lights hitting in New York city summer time 90 degrees bike gets to 220F regularly. Fans kick on at 220F and cools it fast. Riding it on highways on Oahu there are strong trade winds daily bike is at 185F. My bike would never go to 240 Jasus lol. I think RSV4 would be good on Oahu. Two year warranty on new Aprilia, Dealer network is here, Would look at Bren tune to have the fans come on at 200F and the integrated turn signals, Trade winds are great for riding and I don’t find it has hot as NY summer riding. Im keeping the Yamaha so this would be my second bike. Euro bike labor is only $25 more per hour than Japanese bikes in Hawaii. Im looking for exhilarating engines weekend warrior style only two bikes for that R1 & RSV4. I have been into Aprilia since early 90s my mate had Aprilia RS125 in Dublin the bike was a stunner/Rocket for 125cc. Thanks for the info has helped my decision greatly 👍🏻
I have same bike jus 19 factory instead of 2020, ive had it 3 yrs, havnt had not 1 issue 🤷🏿♂️, maintenance is expensive yea, like ducati, but i dnt regret this bike, comin off a 2014 zx10,guess im lucky so far, but i do agre with assessment. Now its getn cold in texas, we hsve 3 dealers here, one in dallas, austin Nd houston so il be havn mine in servuce soon to go tgru entire bike while its cold here in dallas
I loved the 2019. I almost bought it. The matte black color is awesome. I still love my RSV4, it's just a unique bike and comes with concerns but would buy it again if I had to do it all over again.
My aprilia dealer in Miami fl.charged me $800 plus tax for valve adj. on 2016 rsv4 rf.Same as my honda.I do my oil changes myself for $60 oil and filter.Dealers labor is over $100 hour japanese or italian. If you think Aprilia is expensive dont try Ducati.
Wow. That's crazy cheap. Around NC, VA and GA, it's way more expensive. Maybe it has something to do with the new model. Who knows? I've heard Ducati is even worse. I love Ducati's but I don't think I'd own one for many reasons, service cost being one of them.

What temp does the bike get up to in summer? My Yamaha doesn’t get that hot I can ride it in board shorts here in Hawaii.

What about an American sportbike?
Sorry. Misspoke. Caught it afterwards. Hahaha
So it sounds to me like this guy has a wad of money burning a hole in his pocket.
