How much did u pay? I think im leaning this way over everything else
@@pjbiggleswerth8903 I paid $16,500.
@rsv4pilot114 how many mi were on it when u scooped it? Did it have the slip-on w it? Final question: u gonna get the new one or hang on to this one for awhile?
@pjbiggleswerth8903 I bought it new. The Akra pipe is standard fron Aprilia for the 2019 and 2020 years for the Factory trim. I'm planning on selling it and getting a Tuono because it's to uncomfortable for me age and riding style. This bike is best for someone younger that wants to put it on the racetrack where it belongs. Its an amazing machine but has a very specific purpose, and that is not a middle aged guy that only rides on the public roads. I love the bike but for me, it doesnt make a lot of sense.

I got a Tuono 660 for commuting in MD. So far it's been good. One day in low 40s caught my hands freezing, gave in and got some winter gloves. Other than that, the pando moto base armor + whatever I would normally wear for the weather has worked great.
@@niallk9336 I think a Tuono would be a slightly more comfortable choice being bundled up in layers than my RSV4. Still not much wind protection though.
I ride an Aprilia RSV4 rf and was thinking about switching to the new S1000rr. I'm 28 years old and have a young face. Unfortunately, that meant that no BMW salesperson saw me as a serious buyer. Very dubious. I'm happy about that now because I didn't have any of these problems with KTM and I'm eagerly awaiting the new KTM RC990.
The fact that the motorcycle community is not growing and demand for the larger models is declining should make young buyers attractive to dealers, shouldn't it?
@@Clint_Moto34 So are you going with the BMW or the KTM? Unfortunately, the BMW salesmen I have encountered so far were all less than friendly to say the least. I feel like everytime I talk to one, they act like I am wasting their time. Unless you are buying one immediately, they don't really wanna talk about a bike. Haven't had that issue with any other brand.
The perspective is kind of funny, 60F is almost like summer for me. Sick bike !

definitely would not go back to any dealerships in fayetteville NC. Buying was great. Service was atrocious. It's to the point where I would recommend going and chatting with the service department before someone even steps foot on the sales floor. Could you imagine bringing your bike back there for a major maintenance/warranty issue? etc. Best dealerships i've been to in NC has been BMW Motorcycles of Greensboro/Charlotte/CapeFear/Wilmington and Capital Honda Powersports. Decent dealerships would be Garcia Moto and Brewer Cycles Meh dealerships include TPS-Raleigh, Team Charlotte Motorsports/Tees Eurocycles, and anything with Baker in the name.
@@esjihn I had another very bad experience with a specific dealer in Fayettenam. Won't go back there again either. One of my friends had the same thing happen to him too there.
I'm in Maine and ride year-round. I've done panigale v4 and aprilia rsv4, currently ktm 890 smt and a little duke 390. No heated grips or seat. Full, top quality gear though which is key. Also, when below 40F i make sure there's a heated place within 30-45 minutes i can stop, coffee and defrost. Trial and error to find what works. Beautiful bike btw
@@sorecawk Wow. Hats off to you. You da man! Isn't it snowing all winter in Maine? How do you ride with all the snow?
@@rsv4pilot114 haha thanks. We get a fair amount of snow but the crews do a good job cleaning. Chain needs a lot of care. Some days i get so cold that i literally become confused 😂
@sorecawk Wow. That's insane. But more power to you. Be safe. Have fun
How many miles do you have on this bike, that it needed to change the shims? I just did a valve check on my 03 Honda 600 Silverwing. At 65K miles, all valves are within service limits with the original shims.

I’ve got the same bike and exhaust and everything works great except it’s quite jerky below 2000 rpm, especially in first or second gear. I wonder if it might be the akrapovic exhaust and lack of tuning it since install, have you noticed any similar issues? I haven’t tried it with stock exhaust so it may just be how this bike is.
@@nirelslin Mine was only jerky in A mode at higher rpm. I always rode standard mode. It was pretty smooth
@@rsv4pilot114 that was a quick reply :) Maybe there’s something else wrong with mine then, hopefully nothing serious as I just got it second hand. It’s fine at high revs though
@@nirelslin Try a tune. It might fix it.
That's just the nature of the bike. Requires intense finesse constantly while high speed cornering to avoid that jerk midcorner. Choppy throttle and terrible rear suspension are the major highlights for the negatives of our bike. For a budget solution I ordered a use tracer 9 gt suspension and threw it in but for the gas all it takes is more wrist control and some clutch manipulation.
Some insider knowledge. 😉... Setting the mode to Rider and the map to Track changes the bike entirely. The sport map seems to be entirely useless/pointless, and the Road mode is actually better. Mine smokes the new MT09s too, and by a lot. That linear power curve can be a little deceiving but once it reaches the high RPM it takes off (Rider Mode/Track map). The guys on their MT09s were shocked after finding out how fast it was. 😆
@@reddpill Thanks so much for sharing that. Great tip

@@Rycerz49 I really like this bike. I want one.
@@Rycerz49 it turns in the best out of all the bikes I rode in it’s price point with the riding position being comfortable yet sporty. those side mirrors are amazing
Such a cool bike but the headlights just seem so detached from the rest when you look at it from the side - only thing putting me off
@@BeyondPrideMF I hated them too. But they are way better than they used to be. And honestly, in person its actually much better.
@@rsv4pilot114 Haha ok. I mean from the front they've grown on me a lot already (from finding them shitty to actually liking them :D) so we'll see if it'll be the same w the front...
Sorry, late to the party here. I see a lot of comments about this but I would agree with RSV4 Pilot. See the bike in person. The reason for the extended headlight is that it's a holdover from the Daytona. The Striple, especially the RS, is just essentially a naked Daytona and the headlights and instrument pod, which also houses the ram air intake, is directly mounted to the frame, not the forks, like all sportbikes and as it was on the Daytona (I have a first-gen). On the Daytona, it's just covered by the fairing. IMO, on the Striple, this is better than fork-mounted, especially if you fit a screen. With a fork-mounted set-up, there's always the possibility that a screen can induce some speed wobble. It's a bit of an edge case but that won't happen on the Street Triple. Also, a flyscreen/windscreen seems to largely mitigate the issue of the front looking like a crashed and semi-repaired sportbike. I have a '22 RS with a Puig aftermarket screen, which is pretty effective in the wind and it does finish off the front end. It's a good looking bike and the current generation is even better looking.
@@ApexRadius Thanks for the excellent input. I appreciate the comment.

Thanks for letting me ride the RSV4, I do love Italian bikes... hope to get one soon.
😂it’s why I love my Streetfighter V4s. I don’t have to bang through gears! It’s insane fun, 70% of full torque given at 4k revs. Arm ripping . A naked panigale, without the crouch and ‘let me off this thing after 45mins’. Any bike over 500cc is ‘too much & unusable ‘ for legal limits. Putting a smaller bike through its limits is still only going the same speed as your larger bike in a lower gear. 🤷♂️ Is it ocd that you need to run through the full 6 at redline? 😂 Do you get into your car and redline it in every gear? Why’d you buy a 1100cc v4 moto gp derived, sports bike ergos (uncomfortable crouch) if you only wanted a 600? Maybe get the 660 tuono? Either way, your bike is beautiful 🤩 safe riding!
@@markholmes5695 I completely agree with everything you said. And as to why I bought the RSV4, for the same reason people buy Lambo's or Ferrari's or any other rediculous unusable car. Because I love the bike and was fortunate enough to have the means to get one. Its my dream bike and I'm grateful that I had the chance to own one. The RSV4 is amazing in its own way, but for street use, 95% of other bikes are a much better choice. BTW, I love the streetfighter. Great bike!
