Mike has backlogs of Singapore's contents that can last for the whole 2023.
He probably knows of hidden stalls that we haven’t even heard of, and we’re the Singaporeans 😂
*lmfao yes*
Almost like he’s got content for the next year already too 😂
Facts
Ff
People who live in Singapore must feel lucky to have all this goodness and variety in the palm of their hands...
Yes, we do. I feel grateful.
Our only curse is that we had too many choices to a point we don’t know what to eat. Should I eat chicken rice today ? But the oyster omelette looks so dame good, oh but the Hokkien mee that guy opposite me smells so good. I don’t know what to eat. 😂
@@TheArthellin Should I have that chirashidon for dinner? That satay looks good! 🤣🤣🤣
@@aisyahsaparuan The curse of not having enough stomach
So many options, in the end eat chicken rice. Promising yourself tomorrow you're going to eat something else, only to end up eating chicken rice again.
Mike! I thought that you were done with all your Singapore videos! Guess you made so many Singapore videos that you forgot to showcase every single one. Love ya! 💗💗💗
I appreciate this channel so much and as person raised by British parents in a small, rural Canadian town I've learned so much about Chinese food and have started exploring myself. Thank you for your videos, Mike, and congratulations on your marriage!
I’m from the north east UK so real Asian food is very hard to find but I’ve been watching this channel plus the other channels since they started and it’s opened my eyes to how amazing the food can be ❤❤❤
@kerryanne28 from North east too and never seem to find gems these channels do lol

For those that are wondering where the Yakiniku place is, it's Yakiniku HERO not Nero
Not Mike saying he has had "allota balls
.. pork balls, octopus balls" hahahah
funny, you're playing jingle bells as background music.
Mike had a lot of balls! There are so many jokes I can make, but I like Mike, so I'll just enjoy this video. 😅
I swear Mike has an unlimited contents in Singapore while also making food videos in Japan 😆❤
The Bak Chor Mee soup is heavenly and the minced meat just melts in ur mouth. Sure to eat whenever I go to Bedok 85. Love the peanut soup as well 👍👍
Is it the same one from Siglap or a different stall?
@@crystal2484 iirc they only have one stall at Bedok 85 no other outlets
I am avid fan of your channel since 2018, it has helped me overcome so much anxiety. Now I am on level of that anxiety again, please help me pray for my father who will undergo surgery this coming Monday. I am really really worried. Your videos helped me calm down and atleast forget for awhile.
I know you do not know me and certainly I do not know you however, asking for prayer for you and your family is certainly something I think we will all do. May the Lord bless you. May he bless the hands of the surgeon who willl be working on your father. Most of all I will pray that he gives you peace in your heart.
I have watched this channel for 5 years. No need for my story. When I have a night I can't sleep. I put this channel on auto with my earbuds in till I fall asleep. Something very comforting about it. Like being home. Good vibes for sure. Life is life, you aren't alone. We are all here . Lil Dumpling community. Mike always says" food relieves his stress", he relieves our stress. I think that's why he does it.
Thank you very much for visiting Bedok 85. One of our favorite places to eat. 😄
Always love the concent, but my question is when was this video recorded/suppose to goup because the instrumental jingle bells had me laughing for some reason
Mike starting out 2023 with a bang. These videos have had such a great vibe lately.
good morning to my cravings :)
Mikey, random suggestion, can you make monthly / yearly compilation from your favorite places
no ranks, just a compilation of places that left great impression to you for that month / year
@@DustyKid75 you forgot uhmazing
If he made a completely honest video it would probably just be all Japan. Japanese food is just strangely amazing anywhere you go. You can enter a random dirty small restaurant with no customers and it will still taste like a michelin guide star restaurant. Speaking of Michelin, Japan, by far, has the most stars in the world.
Love the Lofi jingle bells right when he sits for the bbq place 😂
I once joked with my friend that I was at that hawker center (he's in Singapore and I'm in the USA). It's SO COOL to see a video of it!!!
so whats the point of you telling that??
@@AzmiMaulanaHamdani omg calm down. I'm sorry you're having such a bad day! 🥰
@@MrWordcat what? I'm asking literally, why do you think I'm angry? You got some issues or something?
@@AzmiMaulanaHamdani idk it seemed like you were angry for some reason?
lol the christmas tunes, love it
1:57 I’ve had all kinda balls and this is the best one I’ve had so far 😅😂😂
That Wagyu BBQ looked amazing and the price for it is crazy! I really want to go there whenever I go to Singapore!
There’s a library of videos he publishes from when he’s taking a break. He left Singapore awhile ago.
Was it Christmas time there that you put the music in the background?
Glad I'm not the only one who heard it...
Mikey you're killing me with all this great food .
I am agoraphobic 😢 But watching your channel has been great for me because I can experience all the delicious foods through you! Thank you so much Mike ❤
"Don't think I've ever tried a red bean mochi before."
WHAT???
bee duck 85 🤣 Mike, it's (buh-doek) good contents btw!
The Banmian stall right beisde yakiniku stall at BEDOK 218 coffee shop have REALLY GOOD fried dumplings too!!!!
Seems like we are country hopping~ Whether it is Singapore, Japan, or other countries, every video is awesome! Safe travel and keep them coming :D
Love the Christmas music in the background.
Loved the music bed for this video! It set such a happy mood like you were just having the best day. 😀
Last time I was this early uh... yay food!
I love to watch Mickey Chen eat! It makes me hungry and makes me enjoy my meals even more.🤤
Going to Singapore next week, thanks for giving good food recommendations!
Bak Chor Mee dry version is also pretty good!! Though it's from a different store since the OG ones only sell the soup version I think. I miss taking a bus ride away to get my Blk 85 fix. Now I'm in the US, watching Mikey Chen's video to get my Singaporean food fix.
Totally miss out on the awesome chicken wings too, since they are probably not open that early in the day yet.
Christmas music in the middle of january?
How backwards is that!
Thank goodness I ate before watching this. I still want those noodles but not just 8 meatballs but 9 would definitely suffice.
Every time I see your new video on Singapore food, I get so excited and wonder what food you are recommending.
Hey Mike . Happy Tuesday to you.. Every piece of food looked great.. Those dumplings were gentle.. Have a blessed day. Enjoy.. 🐞❤️
I would love to see Mike try more food challenges.
It’s the Christmas background music for me lol
Keep up the awesome videos mike
Hi Mike, 85 BCM is the one I eat growing up to. Best choice. Thank you for sharing. Happy new year to you and your family.
Love the Singapore content Mike!
Never ceases to impress....Brada You Rock!
Are we back in Singapore again? Vid upload chronology all over the place ..Looks great though!
Hey Mike, I think you should do a top 10 Vids like one for best dumplings you have ever had ( I know R & H in Landsdown in Richmond B.C (where I live ) will be at least top 4 ), best noodles you have had exc I think that would be a cool vid to do.
FYI on the tang yuan (guess Mike is so used to calling it mochi instead of the chinese name) soup stall. It has a few stalls around Singapore including one in the Chinatown hawker centre LOL. Only the one at Chinatown has longan soup base. Bedok Blk 85 is unlike most hawker centres whereby it gets more lively at night.
Tang Yuan is not exactly Mochi.
Tang Yuan uses rice flour while Mochi is just smashed "Mochi gome" which is a specific sticky rice Japan uses for mochi. But in the video he's eating Tang Yuan so ya you can say they are quite similar
@dewdewdewdewdful yes. tang yuan is made from glutinous rice flour😄hence I am subtly trying to correct what he called in the video😆
Been watching since 2016 I’ve always loved your content, let’s me live out all of my foodie dreams
So glad to see more Singapore food video! ^^
That food on the grill looked so good you always eating some good foods
Watching this video made my mouth salivate! Yum!
The yakiniku place is "Yakiniku Hero" by the way, not "Yakiniku Nero"! Just for clarification :)
Is it located in Bedok 85 ?
@@glenfisher728 nope but a nearby walk!
Sitting watching videos, ❤ perfect timing ! Love these vids!
I am not first but i am most excited.
Love the subtle jingle bells song in the background 😂😂
Ah yes the never ending Singapore food videos continues
damm the food at beeeeeeeeeeedok looks good xD(sorry i couldnt resist its too funny)
Thinking to myself, Wonder what it would taste like to dunk the dumpling into the hot n sour soup…. Then he proceeds to do it! 🤣😍
Christmas jingle nice
I need that satay in my life. Currently without my sense of taste and smell due to Covid. When it comes back I need to jump on a plane. Damn you Mike!
Just when I was going to try and sleep Mr Chen pulls another incredible video out of the bag 😂 Thanking you!!! Please come to the UK again soon. Take care xXx
Happy belated birthday Mike
I LOVE 85
"This is AMAZZING"
OK on their sautéed rice noodles what is that is that gravy over it? That looks so yummy
It's a peanut sauce or what we call satay sauce. It is slightly spicy because of the chillies that's blended in it. :)
shioks for the weather Singapore is currently experiencing!
Anyone know what the layer of material is that's on the bbq grill? I assume it's there to keep the grill clean but I can't figure out what it's made of
Mike Chen: "i had a lot of balls".
Michael Scott: "Thats what she said"
Woa it looks so nice! Also I was so shocked that Mike went to Bedok, its right opposite my school
Those lean meat barbecue looked mouth watering delicious.
I think you got the bbq place's name wrong in the video description, it should be Yakiniku Hero, not Nero.😅
Hi Mike, talking about beef please do go and try this hidden gem in Osaka called Yakiniku Rikimaru Umeda, I almost cannot believe the marbling on the wagyu beef, and it is free flow with drinks for just around USD53
I’m craving noodles now
I love satay bee hoon too. There's not many left around these days. 沙茶面 In xiamen is a cousin of satay bee hoon I guess after the early migrant workers brought back the spices from South East Asia. You can try the Redhill hawker and the bukit timah hawker satay bee hoon next time you're in town.
@Mike Chan Why the Christmas music?
love your videos! do try malay cuisine like nasi padang in singapore. :)
I would love to visit Singapore.
I’ve been watching you for years and it still blows my mind on the amount of food you eat in one sitting
Can’t believe I missed this video. Watching now.
Hello from Nicaragua Mikey
"This doesn't need dipping." Then proceeds to dip it. Editing Mike, editing. :-)
All the stalls you tried in bedok 85 are one of the most popular stalls
I looove dunking any steak into runny egg yolk yummm
Yummy content from Singapore makes me want to go there over the weekend. 🥰
bedok makes your heart go be..dok..be..dok..be..dok..🥰
Funny with jingle bells playing! :)
Wow I'm early for once! Love your videos Mike! Gonna make up some breakfast while I watch!
Nothing like some Christmas background music. 😂. I want to eat all of the items in this video.
Love your content bro! Hope i can see you on your ventures in singapore next time. So many gems that only locals know. Cause taste buds varies. Thank you for ur recommendations! Hit me up when u next in singapore i dont mind showing you my faves ☺️
That peanut soup with balls is surprisingly good. Hot dessert!
Next trip coming to Australia 🇦🇺 mike
i love that you chose Jingle Bells as the background music for the BBQ :D
anything smothered in gravy 👌
Thank you for this video ive been looking for wagyu. Im going to sinapore in a couple week and wanted to get some
When are you coming to Australia. Melbourne has great restaurants
As usual, more awesomeness in Singapore...those satay noodles looked *so good*! What was up with the paper over the grill, though? Never seen that before. I don't trust Google on principle, let the record show...
It's to ensure that the meat does not stick to the grill.
I swear i see nine balls mate 0:50 lol but will be finding a good recipe to make them.
How many times are you gonna say umami in this video? I don't want to run out of alcohol this time
That seems to be the word of the last 2 years for a lot of foodie mukbangers
Also a question - can someone tell me what that gelatinous texture comes from that we see in the hot and sour soup? I have seen this in a few of Mike's videos and am interested in it. Is it just cornstarch?
Yes, it’s either corn starch or tapioca starch. The strands of beaten egg also lends to the thickened texture.
shitake mushrooms and wood ear mushrooms
