- Adventure Island isn't the easiest scenario to start off with - but as it turns out, it's a decent playground to experiment with coaster layouts.

You either die a hero in the level layout of Karts and Coasters, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villainous level designer of Adventure Island.
"You can't see the forest trough the trees." Man, that's a real dutch way of putting it right there. Keep up the good work!
the simple scenery in this scenario really helped me in getting used to building a little bit. much appreciated
“The cold and wet climate is keeping people away” sounds like every British park
I'm glad you're happy that the tower was the trophy.
That tower was the biggest pain in my ass in terms of vandalism and immersion. I tore it down in my final 80% happiness push.
Still my fav series! Keep it up!
As someone who's lived near Busch all my life, the park already reminded me of it by having the drop tower and the wave swings next to each other. The Verbolten reference was just the cherry on top!
Always a pleasure to see your videos on Parkitect pop up! Keep it up! Also when I started up this scenario I recognized your style with the Eurofighter:)I
I RECOGNIZED THE LACK OF MCBR MAKING IT NOT EFFICIENT AT ALL
@@GianniTheodoor That's the true hallmark of a Silvarret™ creation, form over function :)
Gianni You could’ve done what I like to do with low capacity coasters lacking a MCBR, add a chain lift segment about halfway through the ride (on a downhill slope or something, I don’t mean add another lift hill per se but just this acts as a block brake so the next train can proceed) and tweak it from there.
I gotta say, while I absolutely love this series, you took the challenge out of this one by not allowing guests to the observation tower, and I'm a bit disappointed. According to the bio, that's the main attraction of the park, and you just got rid of it to save money. This challenge is completely doable by leaving access to the tower.
Still love the series, and literally can't wait for these videos though. Keep 'em coming!
There used to be a standup coaster in Cedar Point (my favorite park) named Mantis. I absolutely hated it. Calling the restraints uncomfortable is an understatement. You had two choices on that ride: let the G-forces all go through your legs, and leave the ride feeling like you just did a power squat workout, or (even worse) let the G-forces go through your groin and risk sterilizing yourself.
Since then they've changed the trains to sit-down and renamed the coaster to "Rougarou" and the ride is now infinitely better. It's now one of my favorites.
I just watched that after finishing this scenario.
I dont think it's to hard.
Most important thing of all in the beginning:
Limit your park with a "no traspassing" sign!
Then just slightly open it further when you need the space
you prolly dont care but if you are stoned like me atm then you can watch all the latest movies and series on InstaFlixxer. Been streaming with my gf recently :)
@Eric Ty definitely, I've been watching on instaflixxer for years myself :D
@Eric Ty Definitely, I've been using instaflixxer for since november myself :)
Hello! If you see these weird replies from Eric Ty, he is a bot!
And InstaFlixxer is a spam website! So do not go on it.
Have a good day sir!
@@phoenixxam5812 he passed the scenario but miss in the "optional" objective, going for optional is like putting the game in hard mode
Verbolten is a neat ride, and probably my favorite ride in the park. It replaced the Big Bad Wolf as you mentioned, the quintessential suspended swinging coaster. There are lots of wolf references in the ride theming, train design, and queue buildings. It even uses the same footers for the final drop and curve. A very fun experience.
It isn't a good replacement. The only good replacement would have been another swinging coaster, anything with swinging cars would have done.
I've rewatched this series so many times. It's the only thing I can fall asleep to and I'm eternally grateful for that. I'm not saying it is boring, your content and voice is just calming to me. I manage to watch a full epsiode after a couple of nights and am awed by your builds. I even bought the game to try it for myself, and struggle to grasp the build mechanics of it. Kudos!
No offense taken, I get it a lot! Helping people sleep is pretty important anyway, don't want to miss any sleep.
Heavily enjoying this series. Since watching your first Parkitect videos I've been super intrigued by the changes and updates the game has gone through since the early days! The game looks great and I'm excited to get my own hands on it soon. These long videos are perfect to putting on and listening to you talk for a good hour, not to sound weird about that, but I really like listening to you go over all of these different coasters in Europe that I'm not so familiar with, as well as learning some facts about different builders of coasters that I might not have known before. You've a very calming voice, haha! I hope you keep these going, not only for the commentary, but watching you create these parks in this game is super inspiring.
Thank you so much! I'll definitely keep going, until all the scenarios are done (and then we'll see what else there is to do!)
I honestly think this is your best park so far! Ofc you have a few other uploads after this, but i like to take my time with your episodes and not rush through them. Still really enjoying your long-form commentaries and insights into the musings of a roller coaster fanatic.
yeha! a silv video again. best to watch when I´m home today. Which is not now. So ceee yaaa later ;)
Hey Silvarret! I was hoping I could see your take on an indoor coaster! Keep up the amazing content!!
Oh boy! The next episode of 'make your park look bad' is online!
Awesome Job, as always!
Extending the station on Killer B and removing the Blocks to get more trains running helped make the coaster more efficient. May jeopardise safety but brings in extra $ !
Can always do a brake run with regular brakes (instead of block brakes) leading into the station in order to slow the trains down too.
I did the same thing. Could easily earn over 1k a month with it after that.
I've been binge watching these through the weekend, and I am sooo glad you decided to post something today! The sad thing is that I then need to now wait again for the next one... These are just too good! :D Love it and keep it up!
This park looks great! I was stumped by this one for the longest time and this is giving my so many ideas!
I love this game and you give me so many great ideas for design, which is my favorite part of play. Thank you, looking forward to more!
At the beginning when you mentioned it was a roadblock for most players, I related. I dropped the game for a week, but now I'm going to pick this game way back up! Just this video inspired me to, so thank you!
Also I'm hoping you keep publishing the coasters because I love what I can't make (as of now) and they are am amazing inspiration for building coasters! Love the videos!
I literally just got home from having my wisdom teeth removed. Thank you so much for uploading this and also everything you do; you're wonderful and you're parks are amazing.
One of my favorite coasters in t he world is "Lighting Rod" in Dillywood! I felt like it used the terrain SO well!
I love the catwalk you did on the kiddie coaster. Very creative!
Great video once again. I like the cover and the station on the junior coaster.
Absolutely love these Parkitect videos!
I love this series and I always look forward to the next one. Never stop being such an awesome, creative and inspiring builder, Silv!
Wohoo.
Finally a new one, keep it going! ^^
Big Bad Wolf was the rollercoaster before Verbolten. Its pretty cool you’re talking about Bush Gardens having the best rollercoaster because I live 30-45 mins away from Bush Gardens Williamsburg. Lived here for over 30 years. It’s a beautiful park
Really enjoyed watching. I think its kinda cheese to not allow guests to use the observation tower at the start when attention is drawn to it in the beginning write up of the scenario.
Great video -- amazing looking parks !
Loving the series so far! I'm binge watching it all now. BGW is my home park, so I wanna say thank you for not spoiling the ride for those who may ride it. Cause I totally had no idea what was gonna happen when I rode it and it made it all the more better!
And yes, it actually has the same exact drop as Big Bad Wolf did into the river and makes us happy they kept that even though they couldn't keep that coaster
It's seriously stunning!
One of my local parks has a rip tide inside a building and they hid its height with pine trees and the only "building" you really see is a single story height entrance which houses the queue path.
Was smiling like an idiot when I saw the new video pop up on my sidebar! (Plus I just unlocked that scenario in the campaign so I was curious to see your take on it). I really love hearing you talk about coaster history during the time lapses; it's both something that is excellent for filling the time and super informative.
Just looked it up and the stand-up coaster I've ridden at Canada's Wonderland (SkyRider) was also made by TOGO. It certainly had a helix-o-death at the end. Too bad it just was retired to Tuscany in order to make room for their newest coaster (Yukon Striker).
Anyway, can't wait to see your interpretation of the Ice Islands scenario; I'm kinda hoping for something in alpine architecture after binge-watching the European style mine coaster you created in Planet Coaster.
These videos really make me want to get Parkitect, but then only just now I started to get better at Planet Coaster, anyways as always amazing work Silv!
Wow, I really love parkitect. I grew up playing rct3, like so many probably did, and this really is rct3 revamped. I love it! Really the only thing is the ride cam, which I loved to use as a kid
You never fail to inpress Silv. Looks great as with all your parks. Keep up the great work
Keep them coming. Another great parkitect video :-)
I love these videos!
Idk why but I've been waiting this entire series so far for you to mention Cedar Point lol. And you finally did it! Iron Dragon was exactly what I thought of when you were building that suspended coaster.
I'm always happy when you post a new Parkitect video! Quick tip: the depot and trash chute both handle trash. So you don't need them side by side.
Super cool to see you to see you take inspiration from Verbolten!! BGW is my home park and Verbolten is definitely my favorite ride there, and yes you were correct about it paying homage to Big Bad Wolf, which had the same drop over the water.
Ahh, cool to hear! Verbolten is definitely a great example of how to do a family coaster right.
Keep the videos coming man. Can’t get enough!😊
Your detailing is amazing
I just discovered Fluxtrance on UA-cam, and I've been watching his Avalon series, which is set in an arctic area, so you doing Ice-Shelf Islands next is the perfect complement to that series! Another stellar park here. Can't wait to see what you do next!
if you have problems with this, you never played evergreen gardens in RCT1.
Oh the blessing of no entry signs
RCT1 didn't have any no entry sings right?
That was the map that really got me into RTC. It gets tiring starting with a blank slate every time.
Even with the green en browns, it still looks very compelling. Great job Silv!
I did the exact same thing, closed off that long section heading towards the elevator and just focused on the front portion of the scenario. When you do that it’s hella easy. Finished it on my first go a while back.
Flaffstar oh nice where did you add it at? One Coaster I wish was available on this scenario would either be a wooden coaster or a hyper, it would’ve fit nicely around the back part of the island
I was at Tivoli late last year, and that Vertigo ride (long arm spinning plane flat ride) was the most insane ride I've been on yet
so YOU'RE the one responsible for this!!!!
all jokes aside, the only thing that blocked me with this level is the land formation -- I've commented on a previous video, I think it was Honey Hills, that I'm not super fond of "terraform levels" which have very little flat terrain because I'm not nearly as good at them, ahahah. I much prefer to utilize the park's natural landscape and make it look nice as-is.
Haven't yet watched the video, so I'm interested to see how exactly you approach this, what I might do differently if I ever re-tackle the level.
yessss always happy when this one shows up
Whoho! Another 40+ minutes of fun watching!
Please consider making tutorials. You are the best youtuber at this! I mean I am still struggling with block breaks. Mine keep stoping my carts all the time instead of just breaking them...
@@gymweeb9229 I'll make a Parkitect Coaster College soon!
You smashed this map! I really liked the observation tower tbh, and I know you weren’t that happy about the coaster being there, I think you did really awesome 👏🏼😎 looking forward the you do the winter scenario, you’ll pass man! ❄️
To the winter scenario that’s supposed to say
I like that you do the scenarios in parkitect, and do some realistic themeing around. Everytime i play scenarios in those themepark games i just plop the rides and shops down.
Ninja in SFMM, since you mentioned it, is another good example of a suspended coaster with good interactions with other rides & water features. It sails right over Jet Stream's first lift hill and final drop and the park's central lake a number of times that are pretty easily visible from the main path. SFMM in general has a lot of good path interaction in the layouts of most of the coasters clustered around the central portion of the park (Tatsu, Revolution, Ninja, Superman, Full Throttle, etc etc). besides the quality of most of the coasters themselves it's one of the park's stronger features, imo.
This scenario...just Silv working his magic, creating this amazing coaster.
Then completely screwing with the price and efficiency just to be a dick to everyone xD
Keep these videos coming, they're great!
Don't listen to the haters. Parks where you start with inefficient rides were always my favourite in the original Roller Coaster Tycoon. Sometimes it's nice to fix something instead of just starting with a blank map every time and not knowing where to start.
This scenario was a first real challenge for me, and I loved it. I failed the first time but managed to squeak by on the second playthrough. I was trying for the additional challenge of the time limit to get more stars. I didn't notice the things you mentioned that needed to be 'fixed' except the price of the coaster, lol. I did a lot of advertising to get people in to the park and spread out my attractions along the path instead of clustering them near the entrance at first. I don't think I've seen you do any advertising in the campaign mode, have you ever? Do you find it effective? In hindsight, how you did it is totally more efficient, but in the end it still worked for me. I loved the style you started with the existing buildings and I think I did a decent job of copying it to make my park look cohesive. It was simple enough to pick it up quickly but it looks really distinct. It's really nice to have an existing architectural style to theme too instead of trying to come up with something on my own if I'm not feeling particularly creative that day. I love building in your scenarios! (especially if I have an expertly crafted rollercoaster already there ;) ) Don't feel bad about the perceived difficulty of this scenario! Challanges are good! If all the scenarios were the same it would get boring. Can't wait for your next episode!!!!
I loved this scenario! It was kind of a brick wall, i.e. the first that I did not finish in 3month. That was really needed
I did ride the King Cobra at King's Island, loooooong time ago when I was pretty young and I do remember it being uncomfortable. The Mantis was the best one I ever rode. I haven't gone back to Cedar Point since they repurposed it.
I like to look at prebuilt coasters and fix them with better block timings. Rebuilding a little section can do much for the throughput.
Doing a double station is more cosmetic than anything. All coaster types I've built so far instantly drop out all guests and let in new ones at the same time, unlike flatrides that wait for guests to empty before new admissions. A double station can help getting out guests faster when you have a queue of waiting trains, but at such a point you're just using too many trains.
just played this scenario and I actually really enjoyed this one..! I didn't pay too much attention to the lift tower for much of the build and steadily built a park out from the entrance (I didn't even notice the issues with the coaster...! whoops!) and it didn't really hurt me much - enjoyed the map a lot
When you said that family coaster was inspired by verbolten i didn't really see it until you did that drop that banked over the water haha
that was awesome :P
My biggest problem with the park, other than the length, is the Tower. The implementation of having the two stations means that inevitably people aren't going to want to "ride again" and get stuck in the top section, and since its covered you may never see the vandalism and trash while it tanks your park rating. Just my two cents
just remove the lift lol
Agree the AI is not very good handling elevators. Staff will never take it to clean. I ended up closing it. The building though is very nice.
Worst to of this video is the time it takes for the next one to be ready to watch :D
Silvain makker, dit is wat ik nodig had in deze vervelende grieperige periode. Dankjewel! Moge de deuren in uw richting openen.
Yo, beterschap!
The main issue that most people have with this scenario, I think, is actually mechanical, not design. It's the darn lift. Guest will merrily go up it, but the refuse to "ride" it again to come down. Then they get angry, bring the happiness down, and start vandalising. They still see it as a ride and not as a means of transport. If you don't just close the lift and/or delete it, then you're going to have one helluva time trying to complete this one. Otherwise it's a great design and a fun challenge.
Hmm I was hoping you'd add blocks to Killer Bee! Looks really good though, I like the expanded nature of the park. You don't have a lot of guests for a while but they're really happy.
I struggled my first run through and eventually figured out what you started with. I closed off the back half of the park, and added block breaks to killer bee to run 4 cars. After that it wasnt too hard
Best video, you are the best Parkitect-UA-camr in World!
PS: Greetings from Germany!
honestly this isa great aesthetic vibe to this park, esp with the forests. do still wish there was a tracked ride somewhere. these parks from a pure ride (not scenery point mind you!) are having samey vibes, and it sucks cuz each one is genuinely made super well
I watched the POV and DAMN there were multiple segments where the cars were swinging way beyond 90 degrees. You can see it at 1:40, the train angle swings above the horizon, that must have been nuts.
Omg you make building look so easy! It takes me an hour to build a basic ass cube house
Wouldn't it be possible to edit Killer Bee to add some block sections and two stations to make it more efficient?
But on the backside of talocan you get the very cool upside down view towards black mamba. I really like it.
Loved the vid! When will you build the first transport ride of this playthrough?
9:16 Leafy Lake has the same problem of being a too large park.
Finally a new episode!!!!
any news on Part 10+? love watching these!
perfection
If you happen to visit Denmark again, I recommend Legoland. Especially for the miniature scenery :)
Djurs Sommerland has _some_ nice theming, but is perhaps a bit generic and simple.
Can't wait till you get to play HappyCO Harbor.
So this Park is basically a Waddeneiland, moderate temperatures year round and a lot of rain.
Even Parkitect has an elevator, and PlanCo doesn't... this just shows that Planet Coaster needs a massive update.
TheSpanish Potato PC has WAYYY more coasters, themes, flat rides, and features tho. Still a superior game to parkitect.
@@willdenoble1898 I know, but Planet Coaster should get an update adding a MACK Rides PowerSplash, a MACK Rides Extreme Spinning Coaster, and we should be able to get a dual elevator lift on the Barghest, and we NEED elevators that guests can use.
Planco does have elevators...
@@ddorfdeluxe No it doesn't! What are you smoking!?!
@@ryan_n05 too much as it seems. I was playing both games last week and somehow my brain messed up. My bad :)
Love your parkitect videos, I'm just rewatching them now. Have you seen Studio Cavy's videos? The way you are very inspired by the Netherlands, he is inspired by Korea. Pretty cool dude.
Studio Cavy is great! He really makes some of my fav builds, it's an honour to watch him work on these maps.
i love yr vidssssssssssssssssss im going to buy parkitect tmr
Awesome park as always! Just curious is there any reason you never make tunnels on your coasters?
I think the tunnels are a bit ugly. You can make them beautiful with rocks etc, but a coaster above ground is just a bit more realistic in some cases
For me, it's mostly about realism. Subterranean tunnels are very rare on coasters IRL, so I don't often use them either.
@@Silvarret Fair enough. What about making coasters going through smaller "tunnel buildings". Know that some coasters use that?
Nice vid silv! It’s been a while, I miss these great videos! Favorite youtuber👍👏🏼🤗👌does parkitect have a sandbox mode? Wanted to know before I purchase it.
It does have a sandbox mode
Zeewitje sick, thanks so much
I have a weird question : hive do you make yours paths... ?
You sort of loop them and cross the 2 roads together and its strangely cool
How does it come in your mind ? And how do you do it
Thx in advance
I actually start this scenario by changing the Killer Bee coaster so it will not wait for the next train to arrive. I had to change the end part a bit, but it will increase the money it makes by a ton!
Hey silv, how do you know so much about different roller coaster designs? And the areas they are in. Are you a genuine roller coaster enthusiast? Or is this pure research, I came from koali zoo and I love your knowledge on architecture, and now types of roller coaster rides. You even have favorite versions of those rides in different parks across the world. I can’t tell if your a well travelled enthusiast, or an avid researcher to present a very knowledgeable presentation. Either way, I love your work.
Hi Jason! I'd say I'm a pretty avid enthusiast - I've gone on multiple road trips to theme parks in Europe, and went out of my way to visit some in Japan and the US as well - but a lot of my knowledge is also just based on 'research' (well, more just hanging around coaster forums and watching POVs for fun!)
Guess who's back, back again!
So yeah, I finished this park by basically destroying its landmark elevator, but keeping the coaster. I then added a wild mouse and an overly long junior coaster.
I also spammed benches everywhere so guests would stop complaining about being tired, and two separate food courts so that the hunger meter would go up.
It was not hard, but it was laborious.
Putting a roof over an AIRPLANE carousel? Come on, Silv. 🤣
I’m happy you mentioned verboten. It’s one of my favorite coasters at Busch Gardens. My family and I go to Busch Gardens every summer, Halloween, and Christmas; and I got really excited when one of my favorite UA-camrs mentioned my favorite park. We are actually going this Saturday for pass member preview day for my birthday on Saint Patrick’s Day. Also, I’m just curious but when did you go to Busch Gardens and do you go often?
Oh and Your park was awesome by the way, and the shack and dip into the water on the verboten inspired coaster is awesome. Really reminds me of standing on the bridge across from verboten at Busch Gardens and watching the coaster stall in the shack and the drop down towards the water.
@@TingKarg I've never been to Busch Gardens actually, or anywhere in the US outside of California, I'm just such a coaster nerd that I know about most coasters in the world, even in places I've never been. Anyway, thank you, and yeah - the whole Busch Gardens park looks amazing, I'd love to visit it one day!
Silvarret its a great park! I think you’d love it and the whole European theme of the park.
Can you add block brakes to increase the number of carts ? If yes where and how z RT o put those ?
