I really appreciate you sharing so much history of Theme park games. It's been a nice nostalgia trip hearing about Shyguy and his custom sets and real life miniatures.
I believe Lisebergbanan is a zierer coaster and was designed by Schwarzkopf when he worked for the company (I think after his own company went bankrupt). That is why the track is different as it is a zierer design. There are a few of other Schwarzkopf designed zierers. The old Knightmare at Camelot and jetline at Grona Lund are ones that I can think of off the top of my head. Great coaster by the way :D
The log flume - drop tower - catfish cove combo really gives me Bellewaerde feelings. Great job as usual. I still struggle with this scenario for the simple reason the game is becoming a bit too repetitive for me. Mostly because I always use the same building style. You have the talent to build every style possible with the vanilla Parkitect, which makes the videos a pleasure to watch. Don't want to be greedy, but looking forward to the next one!
I really, really, really LOVE ur videos :D you brought back my will to play rollercoaster tycoon style games (I really did not like rollercoaster tycoon 3, 4, world, mobile and others ... so I had dropped it) Thank you
I think, if i remember correctly, that the thing with Lisebergbanan was that Anton Schwarzkopf himself approached the park, because he thought it was beautiful, and told them that he wanted to build a coaster there. However I've not heard that he ever said it was his favorite, but maybe it could be implied... (Someone will probably correct me if I'm wrong on this though, as i said not sure that this was the story, but there definitely is one)
didn't know this and if its true this is so awesome, here's where it says its his favourite in the schwarzkopf 'bible' schwarzkopf-coaster.net/ESlisebergbananGF.htm
Ooooh, this brings me back to my first visit to Liseberg. I very clearly remember seeing the "Lisebergbanen" and thinking, despite my fear of height, that I was gonna ride that one. It simply didn't look as tall as other coasters mainly because, as Silv points out, it follows the terrain so much. It took some effort on my parent's part, but I got on eventually, had a great time and I like to think that ride specifically is the reason I've been able to ride bigger and bigger coasters as time went on. And of course, great video as always, Silv. Your builds, layouts and scenery never ceases to amaze!
Great episode! "Whatever, it's theme park food. When do theme parks actually have good food?" Well, there's always Europa Park, but it's probably also the exception to that rule. I don't know if you've ever been there (if not, you should!) but so far, it's the only theme park I have never bothered to bring my own food to.
generally what I’ve noticed is the higher the theming of the park = the larger the variety and better average standard quality of food, but also the higher the markup for even the cheapest food.
@@IONATVS The exception to that rule is BGW (Busch Gardens Williamsburg), where while the food was varied it was also awful (and I don't consider myself particularly picky). I'd take overpriced chicken fingers any day over the strange plates my family was served there.
I have had the game for a few months, need got into playing it until I found your videos, amazing content and so much fun to watch, made me better at Park building and good inspiration!
Hooray Parkitect vids!! I had a lot of trouble with this scenario, I can barely believe you beat it with so few rides! Can't wait for your next video!!
thanks for doing these videos btw, they made me buy parkitect (not to mention ur videos r awesome) and boi was it worth the money hahaha, i love these games!! so many campaign levels and so much replayability!
Always adore watching your Parkitect videos and how you utilised the different pieces. I had the pleasure of watching your video and Flabliki's Parkitect video today, so I'm probably going to be fighting the urge to immediately jump into the game before getting my to do list completed. In any case, keep up the great work! ;)
Not sure you would use it, but I found a fun design element with those mid walkway platers. If you use the block terraforming tool, you can raise the ground up for one or two tiles creating a really nice raised planter. Adds some extra depth to the effect.
This video was really cool. I have a soft spot for old floors as the one at my local park is the most popular attraction, apparently it has since been re-themed as a lumber mill
I loved this playthrough, and I loved completing Honey Hills! I was a little disappointed, though, that you only built 1 coaster when there was loads of spare room on the right side of the entry and around Bumblebee.
Both of the next two scenarios are a little tricky, but they become substantially easier if you change to a pay-per-entry scheme instead of pay-per-ride. In most scenarios you're actually free to pick which one to go for, and in many cases the pay-per-entry pricing makes the scenario goals a lot easier to accomplish.
Could you make a tutorial video about some random small tips you use on parkitect ? For example : how you build your unique path designs, your park management techniques, E.T.C
catch me jolting in my seat when you mentioned my home state of vermont, LOL. yeah, it's a little bit vermont ski hotel, but i think on a whole it looks a bit more michigan or rustic canadian? though maybe this would be vermont's first amusement park! i do wish you'd been able to do a bit more building like you had in other scenarios, it seems a bit incomplete, but it's still a very nice concept and as always you did a great job with the scenery and coasters. excited as usual for the next one!
Yeah, definitely recognized the style as Canadian ski resorts (a lot in Quebec), also reminds me a bit of 'frontier' style architecture, more in the wooded West than the desert West.
Hey mate, if you have the time and dont mind, do you mind doing a tutorial about coasters, eg. What gives intensity, excitement, nausea traits and the reasons, for all of us that want to learn. Ps. Love your work and the ideas it gives me. Pps. Anyone that knows, steer me toward what im looking for if its already been done.
Actually, you're right. LisebergBanan does have a different track design than others of its manufacturer, and this is because it wasn't actually manufactured by Schwartzkopf, because, after designing the ride, they went bankrupt without having started construction. So, although it was designed by Anton, it wasn't BUILT by his company. That's why. (European Coaster Nerd fact).
Yeah I forgot the company that actually built it - just know it's the same company that build Jetline and Knightmare as well, as, I believe, Olympia Looping.
Hey silvarret! Love your parkitect vids. I was curious where I could go to learn more about coaster design. You mention different builders of coasters, styles, common elements and even the order in which they usually appear in real life. I'm not able to visit parks and experience them on my own hardly at all, so I was curious if you had any suggestions on maybe a video series (or even some documentaries!) or a web site I could go to and learn more about them.
"When do theme parks or amusement parks actually have good food?" Tivoli Gardens (their food hall is just packed with high quality food. I had one of the best pizzas I ever tasted there at the Tivoli location of Gorms.), Knoebels (the food in general is good), Conneaut Lake Park (amazing perogies), & Bakken (Smørrebrød nuff said... Seriously, why don't we have a good number of Danish restaurants in the US?). These parks would like to know your location. In all honestly though good food in amusement or theme parks is quite rare, and usually limited to small and/or family run parks.
Hey, Silvarret could you upload your Scenario parks to your Steam workshop? Then we could see how you did made your coasters, because i try to build with you and this is very hard :D LG: TheCrissydog / Tom Sry for my bad English :D Im from Germany :D
I bought this game specifically because of your playthrough. Then I realized I cannot achieve remotely the same level of quality of building and park planning :)
Love the videos! Really the only criticism, or preference really, of Parkitect would be the main objective difficulty. Perhaps it's from trying to keep hardware requirements low, but I'd like to see goals of having 1000 people in the park, or an annual revenue of $50,000... something that would require several years in game as opposed to a few rides and completion in 1-2 years. Still an awesome game!
All in all, I found this scenario way easier than the couple that come before it! Your park is a lot better than mine, how do you even come up with all those ideas? I mean, I get that you travel a lot and visit tons of theme parks, but it's still impressive.
I'm gonna guess probably not without mods because the game is so hard coded in isometric perspective. RCT only had grid-based pathing and Parkitect seems to take a lot of design aspects from the older RCT games.
I'm learning French! I live in the mostly French-speaking part of Belgium after all. I'm still a beginner though, I don't really speak it. I will definitely make Planet Zoo videos when the game comes out!
Nice to see a log flume, and i know it's out of your comfort zone, but, well, no offense, it reminds me too much of Jet Stream back at SFMM... long, slow lifts with not much excitement in between outside of the final descent. Outstanding scenery work and coaster layouts as always, though!
Terraforming levels are always my least favorite ones to come across - I get really intimidated by the cost and somewhat irreversible nature of terraforming, so I try to avoid it whenever possible. I had to come look at a video of the level to get a sense for just how much terraforming would be necessary to beat this level, ahahah. That being said, it's clear you've got a really good sense for aesthetics here - I hope one day I can make stations and shop buildings that look as good as yours, ahahah. I might have to check out some of your other videos…
It's definitely a challenge! I hated them as a kid playing Rollercoaster Tycoon. The only caveats here at least is that terraforming in Parkitect is quite cheap and you don't have to terraform coaster tunnels. But sure, it's still a hurdle!
Me: *plots down a lot of rides and shops to reach the goals
Silvarret: "All I needed was 3 flat rides, 1 log flume and 1 coaster."
Bought this game after seeing all the potential it has from Silvarret's vids. Totally worth it.
okay, so there are a few reasons this is epic
1 - Silvarret uloaded a video
2 - It's Parkitect
3 - It's a scenario from Parkitect
4 - Bruh

Quake: The Theme Park. Everything is brown! I like the building style but I wish you added more pops of red and/or blue.
Bumblebee does make honey as all bees do, but it's slightly poisonous to humans, thus inedible.
