  • Time to take the new 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa for a first ride! You can go from zero to way too much in 1 gear...NUTS!
    I rode the old Hayabusa on a Suzuki day back in 2016 so my direct comparisons are based on my old memory of that bike. After that ride, I was more than happy to get off of it for many reasons. The new one did not make me feel like that at all.

    I always bounce between the way of thinking "Less powerful bike I can wind out" and "Really powerful bike that I can just leave in one gear".

      For me it's defo the less powerful bikes that are way more fun but for a big bike like this it defiantly is very easy to ride even in the ass end of no where.

    I have owned my Gen 3 Hayabusa for a year now, and it is my 6th Hayabusa. Most of the journey's I do are Warwickshire to West Dorset and back, and for these 400+ mile days on mostly motorway and A roads the bike excels. A steady 70mph will return as good as 50mpg which I reckon is pretty decent. Comfort is exceptional for me (I am 5'10") and I generally stop once to fill up on the way there, and stop twice on my way back, once for fuel, once for a 5 minute leg stretch. We all know how fast it is, and how quickly it takes off, but its party piece has to be its rate of propulsion from 70mph...indeed it defies all logic and scrambles the senses....
    The cruise control is a very necessary addition for what is essentially a sports-touring bike, although I do find the stock screen directs wind blast right to the opening of my visor which means above 20mph the visor must stay closed.
    Brakes are excellent thank god, (the brakes on my first gen 1 were frighteningly poor). Massive fun on sweeping bends, but you'll almost certainly be left behind on the tighter turns.....but get back on a straight and there's no other bike like it.
    Still draws plenty of attention, and overall I would definitely recommend these fabulous machines to anyone who has a disciplined right wrist...

    I played cyberpunk and get your point. Just bought one of these and my kid brother said ‘wow looks like a cyberpunk bike’. so there you go. Had the gen 2 for years and loved it and demod a gen 3 and loved it. More torque in the midrange even though the peak power is down. I don’t tend to drive at 180 mph so I don’t mind that.

    1978 ,,, Years ago I beat the Suzuki GS 1000 with my Honda CBX 1000! 😎 Now 43 years later, I would like to walk up to a Suzuki Hayabusa gen 3/21 and feel it float on my cadence ... It has been ordered, it will be a white, as white as my face when "he" is flying with me! You can count on that! 👍Perfect all that, the wait will seem long now.......... but no problem I still have a few waiting who want to drive 🤩 - / -

    I can't tell for sure. But the 3rd generation bike seems to have a jet turbine sound to it, which is absolutely beautiful sounding. I am wondering if the 3rd Gen bike is smoother with less vibration? I feel like maybe the 3rd Gen engine is more refined.

    I really kinda want this. I've always been a bit of a busa fanboy, and now that I have the means to afford one, I don't really have the space, too many bikes at the moment. I loved the gen1, the gen2 was "eh" aesthetics wise - looked bloated, weird cluster, but the engine refinement was nice. This really does best of both worlds. It's really good aesthetics wise - sorta a cross between the g1 and g2, then the cluster looks sorta like the one from the g2 but it's not shitty.
    .
    Hmm, maybe I'll pick one up in 5 years when the depreciation edge wears off and I hopefully have some more garage space.

    Sitting watching hayabusa reviews over the last month and then decided to take my gen 2 for a spin yesterday and ended up at a dealers and immediately sat on the gen 3✌🏻🦅...............and I love it. However I was talked out of part exchanging my gen 2 by my m8 and even one of the sales reps, £16.5k is to much. What I'm pissed off with is these u tubers pottering around doing reviews of a bike that is NOT designed to potter around on😤, get real and ride it properly, motorways,long dual roads and autobahns with the rev counter and Speedo bouncing of the limiter, and cruising at 130 with rucksack and tank bag one handed😁

  • @jeffestrada6857
    @jeffestrada6857 2 роки тому +1

    This is a street bike NOT a track bike. Why do people say that it needs to be on the track to show its performance?
    This bike is designed to be an all round STREET riding package, comfortable, powerful motorcycle capable of pillioning in relative comfort compared to anything out the thats sporty.
    Hot?? What are you talking about. I owned three Hayabusa’s and many many other bikes through my life and never experienced the heat that your talking about. I live in Australia and could confidently say its more extreme here in Summer then where your from.
    IF you want to know whats hot to ride get a Ducati 999 with under seat exhaust then you can say its hot to ride. It’s annoying listening to reviews where inexperienced riders comment on the car/ bike/ whatever without really knowing what their talking about.

    • @spicy110

    Too heavy for me.
    I had a new 97 Blackbird. I found it a nuisance and a struggle lugging it around - parking (where the chain can reach a pole or something ) - backing out of spots etc etc. Even though I was an ex- m/c courier and had loads of experience and reasonably "bike fit". This bike would suit those men of larger frame - you know 15 stone plus (200lbs/95kgs) all muscle. If you're not hercules and you still want one you have to consider parking it where you can get out without a full body workout! -- - backing one 6 feet up a slope is harder than you think (leave the side stand down and drag it!)
    I got a GSXR1000 now - same rush, less weight....less comfort maybe...and I am 24years older!

    I'm not sure what it is or what it's for, too sporty for a 2 up tourer and too heavy for a top sports bike, looks better than previous versions, if you squint you can see a shadow of K4 Gixer thou up front, and a hint of SRAD750 at the rear there, talking of which imagine if Suzuki had put a Hayabusa engine in an SRAD, now that would be something!!!

    • @spicy110
      @spicy110  3 роки тому

      I get the whole you think your way is right and all that stereotype, but how is it dangerous? How is driving on a mirrored road system with car with the wheel on the other side any different?
      Updated this one got me thinking so I did my research. Driving on the left is inherently safer than the right as most people are right handed meaning they can use their dominant hand to change gear. (We use manuals in the uk way more than autos) might be time to rethink your feelings on the subject. 👍

    I respectfully disagree sir. The first busa is a classic and did not age all. Second one was terrible. This one looks like Samsung microwave. Not bad but too much unnecessary shiny bling. But of course looks are completely subjective. Also I’m not sure what is the point of this bike. It’s not the most powerful, not the fastest, not the most comfortable ... it’s just big.

    • @spicy110
      @spicy110  3 роки тому

      It's a busa no one can ever agree haha 😉 disagree away, we all have different opinions and I can only go off my small exapeince of the 2016 bike. This is why my reviews and first rides are not from the prospective of comparison and what it isn't but what it is. It was a nice bike to ride around but it's a Busa at the end of the day and comes with all the oddities that some love and some hate. For me the biggest question is what is it for, however I asked the same of the second.

      @@rolandsv8 I never said it wasn't distinctive, it's certainly that. There is one angle that makes it easier to look at, that's if it's on one side of a very big wall and you're on the other. I wouldn't call the R1 generic at all, the design has changed, but that said, a first generation R1 would still be a much nicer looking bike than a third generation Hayabusa.
