It's true. And on a 2nd Gen, the fueling is so accurate, the throttle response is glassy silk, never a pop or snatchiness. I can't believe how good the fueling is for such a big motor. I think they pour a lot of R&D into the Hayabusa, which is reflected in the purchase price, it's more expensive than most of the other bikes. The 3rd Gen seems to be a better street bike than the 2nd Gen, and the 2nd Gen was already really refined.
I had a gen2 Hayabusa. Handle bar lift/spacers made such a huge difference for me in terms of comfort, wrist ache, all the things mentioned in this video. I also had an aftermarket seat which made the seating position about 3/4 inch lower. Larger windscreen and it was a fantastic highway touring bike, I rode it from Calgary to Vancouver through the mountains 1/2 dozen times, and it was excellent.
This bike is an "Icon" of the motorcycle industry. It is probably the most well known motorcycle amongst people who do not motorcycle. Yes it is big. However, I don't think there is an better bike for long distance sports-touring. Another thing I have discovered is that people either love the looks or hate the looks. I love it's looks.
These hyperbikes are surprisingly capable. You can commute and tour on them, hit the drag strip, or tear up a mountain road or a tradk day. I have the new ZX14R and do track days on it and it does just fine. Its more comfortable for all day riding than my 2022 Speed Twin.
nice video. Over the years, the Hayabusa has really grown on me. If i were to get a sport bike, this would be it. Its bigger and more comfortable than most sport bikes. And I love the gauge cluster on the Gen 3 Hayabusas too.
1:30. You can hear how big the engine is, even with the stock mufflers, there's a deep sound that isn't there with smaller bikes with a single muffler. When I first started a 2nd Gen, with all stock mufflers, it was terrifying, you can hear a deep booming resonance at idle, because the mufflers are quiet, but they are very high flow, and you can hear the exhaust pulsing through at idle, with a deep booming sound. You know immediately that the engine is huge, and scary and it sounds amazing. I absolutely love listening to the booming idle. The 3rd Gen appears to have that exact same throaty, scary idle, cloaked beneath the nice quiet mufflers. It's also not a flat plane crank, so the motor sounds like a proper screaming race engine at all RPM's, much more enjoyable and rich sounding than any flat plane crank R1 at speed.
The motor IS a flat plane (189 degree) crank so it DOES scream in the traditional way. R1s have cross plane cranks which cause them to sound very different.
Makes you feel like a God, the perfect statement about this bike. It’s the way it makes you feel when you ride it. You just feel like the king of the road 😁👍🏻

I love bike ❤❤❤❤❤
Subscribed. excellent reviews.
Thanks, I really appreciate it!
It's worth buying it just for the very tasteful mix of analogue clocks and digital display. But does it have illuminated switch gear for night riding?
Now it's time to refine the thousand gxr baby🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰👑👑👑👑
Hoping to test ride a Hayabusa maybe at the next Daytona bike week, Am considering buying a 2024? Is it comfortable enough to ride a hour or two...
Having owned the very first brown Gen1 and a white Gen2 I am a big fan but I don’t think the Gen3 really moves me anymore. The world has moved on. Too much congestion, bad roads, bad drivers, speed cameras. It used to be top of the pile 15 years ago with the big ZZR but nowadays it’s performance is quite meh, which is astonishing really. I think small to mid sized nostalgia bikes like RE are pumping out are the future.
nice driving this hayabusa good video.
With roughly double the price, performance, and cylinders would you buy this bike instead of the sv650 if you had it to do over?
I didn't have double the money, so no. :D
Great vid … always loved the Busa and this new reincarnation looks and sounds the nuts !! 🤙
Brilliant!
I have the silver version of this bike. Been in the shop more than on the road lol
That sounds very un-Suzuki!
@@Englishbikerdan Yeah, for some reason whenever the motor gets hot, it refuses to start. Cold starts perfectly every time. Now, half of the instrument cluster doesn't work lol
Awessome bike
The most important question, does it have helmet hooks?
Yes, inside of the back seat when it's off. Both sides.
Yep, bored me to tears😂 just ride it like it was designed to be ridden, flat out and full power and then start to push it into bends and make it ride
I can't show any of that sort of riding as I'd get reported. Sad times we live in now. 🙁
Not really possible on public roads unless you want to lose your license or your life and end up in a mortuary.
yea idiot advice for most highway. wet leaves, deer, texter's....
On the exhausts being 2kg lighter than the previous generation... is that 2kg per can, or 2kg for the whole exhaust system overall??
Not that it really matters.
The system as a whole, I believe.
Never knew the ABC....A-ctive, B-asic and C-omfort
Tnx Dan for the nice content you put out. Question: what helmet mount do u use for the camera?
Mainly the Shark D-Skwal 2, but also the HJC RPHA 11 on occasion.
@@Englishbikerdan sorry i mean the camera mount for the Gopro. Is it just the adhesive mount?
@@rivaiden1655 Apologies, yes just a standard flat mount on the Shark but a specific helmets mount for the HJC from Ride tech Moto.
Has it got "Discipline control"? 😀
Sadly, no! :D
Bloody nice intro!!
It is a beast and resembles snuggling with Arnold Schwarzenegger. And when you give it throttle, it will wriggle and take off into the sunset.
Wow. 😂
WANT!
Would you rather have this bike instead of the sv650 you just bought?
They are vastly different in terms of performance and price, so very difficult to draw comparisons.
It's like comparing a Daewoo Matiz with a BMW M5. Impossible, they are just so different aimed at riders who want totally different things from a motorcycle and for totally different budgets!
👍👍👍
Perfect Commuter 😅.
👍
Dude ! Do you really believe the Hyabusa got its reputation from a clever marketing campain. ? Nothing to do perhaps with the fact that it is a stonking awsome performing piece of tech powered by absolutely one of the worlds greatest engines.
Dude! Yes it certainly helps.
Those are not stylima Brembos. They're a much lower spec Brembo than the stylima.
They are in fact Brembo Stylema brakes.
Nice review
Pos ill keep my gen2
A mans bike!
Had an '08 until 2016. Miss that bike so much.
Great review. My only complaint is the title. Every single animal on earth puts humans to shame. 😢😊
That's like like comparing all women based on ones only girlfriend.
You've lost me there.
Awsome bike, but underpowered... Should be supercharged
Underpowered :D. The world has gone mad.
@@Englishbikerdan i have one! Before i had a 2017 zx14r performance sport which is faster ...
And now im selling the busa to get a h2sx.
Any new supersport is faster than a busa, much faster, shame..
I love the bike, best bike i ever riden, but underpowered
@@MrPeteRR299 I'll never understand how it's underpowered my friend. You must be crackers! 😁
@Crusader General the goal is to tune
Are you nutz? It's probably way more bike than you could ever handle. Stick to driving your under powered slow Honda Civic around a track.
This bike is pointless now. Not that fast amymore, heavy and and an aggressive riding position.
186mph not enough for you eh?! :D
Not that fast? Ok hero.
Yeah right. What ever you say. The capability of this bike is probably way above your skill set.
ooh, S54 getting beaten back to the bleacher seats
Its faster then gen 1 and 2
150nm around 7000rpm
It has an easy 200hp and more with a little tune to skip the euro 5 emissions:)
So what’s not fast?!
Slowest gen 3 too slow not an animal
😂
horrible riding scenery. narrow dangerous roads with blocked view by trees and crops. oh well life's a b....
Or as we call it, home.
The Honda Blackbird had a double X (CBR 1000 XX).
Love me busa
