Excellent tutorial! Thank you kindly! This was much easier than I had anticipated. Getting the bezel back on was the hardest part, and that the was only because the bottom hinges were tricky.
Thanks Graham.
I have exactly the same laptop that seems to have a failing screen after 5 years. Looking at this video has given me more than enough confidence to be able to take the job on. Just need to confirm exactly what model screen to buy now.
A nice, straightforward, easy-going style makes this very easy to watch & understand.
Very much appreciated :)
Thank you brother! 🙏
I'm literally going through the steps to replace a lcd on a white hp 14" Chromebook. Thank you for the info.
Thank you !!
Thanks for this video. In this pandemic I repaired my laptop by following ur video .. display was coming and faded
Thanks man
I just changed my laptop screen. Your video made it easy. I looked at some other videos and some guys take the whole laptop apart from the bottom to do this. Maybe taking out the battery is part of the reason but they seem to make it harder than it needs to be. I had your video up right next to me while I was doing it. It took less than 30 minutes. Thanks.
How did u know what size screen n where did u buy it
@@Johnbull4u I have an HP. I opened up HP assistant and it told me my serial and product number. With that I was able to search to find the correct screen. I can't remember if I found it on the HP website or with just a plain google search. I found 2 sellers on eBay and bought the screen for about $100.
@adamant, My laptop also had same screen issue its similer to this one you work on with Model no: 15-cc057cl, please where can i get the screen type of that model (i won't mind a link please). and if i can't get that can 40 pin lcd cable work for 30 pin cable?
Screen replacement without battery disconnection? Well done. It might cost a bit sometimes more than screen :)
Hi Is a touch LCD can be replaced a non touch LCD for hp 15-f222wm? Im not quite sure if i can just buy a much cheaper one since a touch cost a lot more. My cousin broke it after his phone fell on the screen.
I need to do a HP 15-cw1036wm screen replacement, but, I can't find any screen that specipically says iot will work for my laptop. Anyone able to point me in the right direction?
Does this work to replace a glitch also or do you need to replace a cord instead..if so do you happen to have a video on that??
Flickering/glitchy display is most likely the display cable. It CAN be the LCD, but more often it's the cable.
@@Adamant_IT i have flickering ghost green screen, how should i rectify it?
In this video, there appears to be stretch release tape on the back of the (broke) LCD on 0:26 ua-cam.com/video/7GbdL40JS9A/v-deo.html
In your video I don't see any.
Is this a necessary part of the replacement?
Mine looks exactly like this but it’s the touch screen version it’s the same process right?
Is it glass-fronted? If it's capacitive touch (glass-fronted) then it'll be a different animal to this one. But I've also seen HP laptops with the fancy new in-cell touch panels that look just like a non-touch LCD. Those are the same as this video.
@@Adamant_IT it’s not glass it doesn’t look like touchscreen to the 👀
where did you buy the screen?
Did you even watch the video???
Ya'll do.
The newer HP 15 displays are glued on so you need a heat gun or a hairdryer.
Probably because they want you to buy a new one instead of repairing it. I am NEVER going to purchase another HP product again. It's all crap or scammy
Usually there's a little bit of glue sticking out at the top or bottom of the screen.. you can pull on that and remove the glue by just pulling on it. No heatgun required. But not always, yeah
does it have 30 pin connector?
@@Adamant_IT I have 15-cc166tx non touch laptop. Quite similar to the one you worked on. I want to upgrade to a FHD, IPS panel or UWVA as hp calls it. Wanted to clarify if yours is a 30 or 40 pin. Thanks for your help!
@@Adamant_IT thanks a lot! My laptop runs a FHD screen with SVC type display (non IPS panel ). Wanted to get a IPS panel for the same
@@aravindmuralitharan2863 I'm about to do the same thing, didn't realise how bad the screen was that came with my HP it's only 6 bit colour not even 8 bit, no wonder I can never get the colours how I want them
@@aravindmuralitharan2863 I do believe 30 pin is for non touch, and 40 is touch
What is the price of this screen sir
I guess you did not even bother to watch the video if you are asking that.
I have this issue, is it possible cable ? if yes how should i fix it? ua-cam.com/video/MToNF5SIN3I/v-deo.html
