This makes sense. Men forget that reduced/ low t didn’t happen over night it was a slow decline that your body got used to, then you jab a lump of testosterone and the shock to your system where there was no time to settle in slowly, yea it will trigger anxiety.
Your test jumped so quick without giving your other hormones time to adjust and recalibrate to your new normal.

Absolutely! It's important to remember that our bodies are complex systems that need time to adapt to changes. Slow and steady wins the race when it comes to hormone adjustments.

I've been anxious all my life. I was a fireman for 22 years. Diagnosed either anxiety, depression, and PTSD. Recently had my levels checked, and my total came back in the 270s. I'm hoping test helps me. This anxiety is horrible.

270 is low and I hope you get optimised. Good luck it’s a journey it can take time as your body heals from years of Low testosterone

After suffering for years and getting no understanding from endos in my country, after initial consultation with your PCM, you gave me new hope :D. They understand what are we going through and how frustrating can be to fight "the system" after you have tried everything natural to try to remedy our situation.

I had been diagnosed with general anxiety pre trt. Got some blood work done, total T was 270, I’m 31. Got on TRT, had a major panic attack a few months later, and the general anxiety has become an every day thing. I think my anxiety was made worse due to me thinking that TRT is going to give me a heart attack. Had my heart checked out post panic attack, EKG and ultrasound, everything looked great. Still can’t stop thinking TRT is going to give me a heart attack. Other than the anxiety, I feel great physically. Mentally not so much.

I took first shot of trt and got massive anxiety. Switched to hcg instead no anxiety. I think it has something to do with my cns.
    I felt jacked up

Hey there! It's common to experience anxiety when starting TRT, as your body adjusts to the hormone changes. Switching to HCG can help some individuals reduce anxiety and maintain natural testosterone production. Feeling "jacked up" might be due to these initial adjustments. Keep monitoring how you feel and stay in touch with your healthcare provider for the best guidance on your TRT journey. It's a highly individualized process, and they can make necessary adjustments to minimize side effects. Good luck!

Iam on TRT .3 every 4days and after a year plus I started getting bad BAD anxiety like screaming in my car to try and shake it! PRAYER and talking to God and Jesus helped the most, but it’s horrible! I went 10+ days with no shot and my anxiety went way down way! Took a shot went to bed, 3am up with anxiety bad! But I have started working on my sugar content and trying to control yeast in the gut! So this does correlate and may be part of the issue I hope. Thank you.

Hey there, thanks for bringing up this important point. The relationship between testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), anxiety, and blood sugar isn't straightforward - it's a bit like a delicate dance with all parts influencing each other.
The anxiety you're asking about can sometimes be connected to swings in blood sugar. When our blood sugar dips too low or spikes too high, our bodies can react in ways that stir up feelings of anxiety.
Now, about testosterone's role in all of this: testosterone levels can actually affect how your body handles insulin, the hormone that manages your blood sugar. When testosterone is low, insulin resistance can sneak up, leading to higher blood sugar levels. So, in theory, TRT could help our bodies become more sensitive to insulin, which in turn would help control blood sugar levels.
However, bear in mind that adjusting hormone levels with TRT can also have an impact on our emotions, potentially stirring up feelings of anxiety, especially if the dosing isn't quite right or if someone is already more prone to anxiety.
I'm a firm believer in the holistic approach: maintaining a balanced diet, regular exercise, and stress management techniques are also key players in managing both anxiety and blood sugar levels.
This is general advice and everyone's experience can be different. If you have concerns, it's always best to chat with your healthcare provider for advice tailored specifically to you. Cheers!

200mg per week may be way too much. In addition excessive testosterone could cause estrodiol to be elevated and also cause anxiety, along with overstimulation from testosterone on nervous system. Whilst in other cases 250mg a week puts some men midrange only... highlights importantance of blood work and doctors supervision. In summary though 200mg a week would be supraphysiological for a lot of guys especially if its overdosed underground lab thats not TRT if above high limit. On point with serotonin and anxiety path ways can definitely affect anxiety and be rebalanced with SSRI (which in turn can have side effects on drive)... modern life and stresses can overload and affect the body in many ways with chronic overstimulation of the sympathetic nervous system and inappropriate reinforced learning. Don't forget mediation and mindfulness to help reprogram the mind as we end up taking medication for side effects of other medications

ou've made some excellent points there. It's crucial to recognize that the appropriate TRT dosage can vary significantly from person to person, and individualized treatment plans based on regular blood work and medical supervision are essential. You're absolutely right about the potential for elevated estradiol and other side effects with excessive testosterone doses, including anxiety and overstimulation of the nervous system.
The connection between testosterone, serotonin pathways, and anxiety is complex and underscores the importance of a holistic approach to health. Medication like SSRIs can have their place but may come with side effects. Incorporating practices like meditation and mindfulness can indeed be valuable for managing anxiety and promoting overall well-being.
Your insights highlight the multifaceted nature of TRT and its impact on health and mental well-being. Thank you for sharing your perspective! If you have more to discuss or questions, feel free to continue the conversation.

Hello. I had to stop a 3 month TRT because in moderate stressful situations I have some kind of anxiety attack with tachycardia weakness and chills. It has been a month since I have stopped but my stress response is still bad. Will it go away by itself? I mention that I was taking 250mg testosterone enanthate in a week. In how much time will my body adjust the estrogen and cortisol in order to heal this problem that I have?

It's important to prioritize your health and well-being. It may take some time for your body to readjust after stopping TRT, so be patient and seek medical advice if needed.

The guy asking this question said he was on TRT and while he was on it HE WAS GETTING ANNXIETY! THATS WHY HE DECIDED TO STOP....... and the answer to his question does not make much sense? she said because his blood sugars are more normalized and even thats why he could be getting anxiety? why would normal blood sugars cause you to have anxiety.......

She was saying that the change to improved blood sugar ie the movement to a new normal may take time for anxiety to settle whilst this process is occuring. She said there is data around blood sugar and anxiety and she we merely sharing here experience with patients she has treated with anxiety.

He's probably relatively new to trt, and is on too high a dose. This causes the estrogen to rise to try and balance the T. He just needs to lower the dose. Is this doctor for real?

TRT exogenous test causes anxiety in me personally

    • @balancemyhormones
      @balancemyhormones  Рік тому +2

Exogenous testosterone, which is testosterone that is taken externally in the form of a medication, may be associated with anxiety or anxiety-related symptoms in some individuals. However, the evidence on the relationship between testosterone and anxiety is mixed, and the effects of testosterone on anxiety may vary depending on individual factors and the specific circumstances of treatment. Some studies have found that testosterone treatment may improve anxiety symptoms in certain populations, while others have found no effect or a worsening of anxiety symptoms. More research is needed to fully understand the potential relationship between exogenous testosterone and anxiety.
