This makes so much sense. I’m on trt for about a year. I feel great and I’m putting in the work. Also on a spiritual level. Listening to your body and mind. I’m still struggling because I had anxiety and depression. I’m still struggling and I thought it was all better till the moment I asked to much from myself and I relapsed. But I’m doing way better than a year before. My advice. Make sure to get the lowest dose with the best possible results.

Possibly the best most informative post I have ever seen. Covering all angles that could be counterproductive to the overall scenario. Unfortunately in Scotland it takes up to 12 weeks to see a RANDOM NHS doctor that has never met you before. This takes a whopping 10 mins max (or less if they get a quick hit from GOOGLE!).
    What do they prescribe you?
Anything with the word "ANTI" in front of it.

125mg weekly for almost 6 years, with blood work every 4 months. At 52, I'm in the best shape ever, with testosterone levels between 950-1050. After retiring from the Army in 2010, civilian life hit hard. Wrestling with weight gain, depression, anxiety, cause of PTSD, gym sessions left me exhausted. Now, recovery is faster, and my mental well-being improved, don't rely on my meds. It's a game-changer for veterans like me! Before I started TRT my number was 191, started at 200mg a week and that put my labs, way out of wack, so my doctor she started lowering my dose and finally found that 125 sweet spot for me, and my lab numbers look great. I was getting a bald spot on the top back side of my head, and my wife said it started to cover back up. Will I ever stop, fuck no! Do your cardio!

I’ve been on trt for a year post tumor removal my hormones never recovered. I saw little to no progress while still taking cymbalta 60mg and trazdone at 200 Mgs. Once I suffered through three months of detox the weight started peeling off. Antidepressants will hold weight on most people. It was absolutely hell trying to get off of these meds. After getting my trt protocol in a nice area I’ve been able to discontinue all prescriptions. I feel like I got my life back. I’m 41 and feel better than I did in my twenties. In year one I’ve love almost 70 lbs and my blood numbers are perfect, where as before I felt like we were just throwing drugs in and seeing if anything sticks. Psych meds are not the way. Just stop taking them and see how shit you feel. It is hell. Get off these drugs now and take your life back.

This unicorn of feeling something from TRT as if it’s a stimulant is causing some to think TRT aid not working. TRT will be subtle in some especially if they are other co-mortifies like hypothyroidism that is under-treated, depression tested with SSRIs, or if lifestyle changes haven’t been made along with TRT. Sometimes looking at Hormones like allopreganolone May help sometimes.
Trt is making an improvement metabolically whether you feel it or not will depend on other factors and your own genetics make up. It’s better to keep going and work on the other causes and issues.

I'm going to be starting TRT very soon. About 6 months ago the floor dropped out from under me at the age of 46. I've tried everything else because I've been concerned about this topic since I turned 40. And recently it got a lot worse but I've been feeling off for years now I'm concerned my expectations are going to be too high.
Here's my reality. The crippling anxiety is so bad I don't want to leave the house but the boredom that leads to depression is so bad because I don't leave the house that I want to leave the house. Lol I'm a self-made entrepreneur and have about half of my journey left I would estimate. However my career has stalled for some time now and I'm going nowhere except for stuck where I am. My creative spark and drive to create, fight for a better life, is absolutely gone. I feel like I'm getting dumber. I feel like my thoughts are more cluttered and jumbled than ever. I mean I can keep going but basically I am the poster boy perfect demographic for TRT. ... From what I can tell so far.
It is right for me to think this is likely going to decrease both my anxiety and depression right???? I'm trying to keep my expectations simply on at least noticing a decrease in anxiety and depression. I'm just looking to feel like I know TRT helps me. So long as I can say it does help me the degree to which will be fine. Well lol ... Anyways what do you think?

The people I know who went on SSRI did so because of terrible anxiety and uncontrollable negative thoughts. But these people also drank at least one pot of coffee per day, including drinking coffee late into the night. All the symptoms they were trying to erase happened to be symptoms of too much caffeine (AKA caffeine-induced psychosis). I had a similar experience working nights when I started drinking massive amounts of coffee to stay awake. In the following weeks I had trouble sleeping, felt haunted by bad memories that I couldn't turn off, and had extreme anxiety and fear. I also kept beating myself up (mentally) for dumb mistakes I'd made in the past. It was hell! When I realized these symptoms were being caused by guzzling coffee, I cut back to 2 cups of coffee within 4 hours of waking up. The symptoms vanished almost immediately. This makes me wonder if perhaps a lot of the people taking SSRI drugs were caffeine addicts who didn't understand what was causing their suffering.

I can’t quit. I tried twice at the advice of my GP doctor but both times my total testosterone dropped too much and would not stabilize. First time it dropped to 74ng.dl and the second time it crashed even further to 19ng.dl. After almost four months there were no signs of it recovering to the 200ng.dl it was when I first went on TRT at age 48. Back then that was the threshold and now it’s like 400ng.dl. During those four months life stopped for me. Zero libido, basically no sex and absolutely no interest in it. Mood swings, depression and lack of enthusiasm in anything which included working out. My estrogen went through the roof and my cholesterol climbed the highest ever in my life. The worst for me was I developed gyno which I never had before. This probably form the screaming high estrogen levels in my body. Upon blood work I also had red flags in my liver levels. Funny thing was my doctor said I would get over it. I felt great for months and everything fell apart for me at the 8 month mark. Put on 15 lbs of muscle and lost 30 lbs of fat to land at 200 lbs after starting at 215 lbs 6’2” 41 years old. My only hesitation is that none of my docs were able to tell me what went wrong or how to prevent it from happening again. Life had way more ‘sparkle’ while on TRT and I have no problem putting in the work but messing with your hormones is serious business. Would u consider my experience to be normal? Should there be major adjustment points needed throughout the treatment period? I guess I was expecting it to be more of a set it and forget it type of thing.

@@kadenmac2009 that is a very good question. When you hear guys having issues, in the long run, on TRT, 99% of the time they were on the wrong dose. Generally if the issues are early on they were on too little, lile docs putting a guy on 40mg a week, or 100 once a month. If the guy felt great for 8 months, gained a bunch of muscle while losing a bunch of fat, great libido etc... then at 8 months in he gets ED and feels like poo, then likely he was on too much and his estradiol got really high along with his prolactin. Sometimes TRT mills/clinics will even put guys on 1mg of arimidex a day and crash their estradiol, or other poly pharmacy sillyness. I take only 80mg a week, no other meds, and never have issues. My levels are upper normal on that. Going supra might feel good in the short term, but not long term. Dose matters a lot.

yes indeed. I was on try and had a great life at that time.. sadly some things happened and I had to stop against my wishes for 3 years. I miss the Great days .. but never want to cold turkey and feel like that again .. I know life is very very unlikely to go that way again .. but I fear the downside of stopping for a period of time and having that horrendous experience again. Hormones are serious shit.
I rebuilt my body clean but can't reliably screw without blue pills... and I have a super high pressure job with disastrous consequences if I get it badly wrong so I know that extra drive trt gave me would be very useful. Also on anti-anxiety pills... I am certain trt again will help .. but... I guess I still fear the past experience

I have fibromyalgia and was recommended to go on testosterone in 2009. It never worked great for me, but as I have gotten older, and am now 50, I'm diabetic and it seems a bit uncontrolled, my hematocrit level is rising, my prolactin level is too high, and I have too many red blood cells. I seem to have headaches a lot and just don't feel like myself. TRT never worked sexually well for me, but I thought I needed it just to survive. One time when on a testosterone gel that didn't work my testosterone crashed to 105. I am totally unsure what to do. Is it possible doctors didn't monitor my estrogen level close enough?

I'm no doctor, but it sounds like you may have severe insulin resistance. I suggest watching videos by Dr. Ken Berry, who is a proponent of low-sugar, low-carb, "ketogenic" diets. I think you need to change your diet. Cut out sugars, breads, pasta, rices, potatoes, etc., and replace them with lots of vegetables, eggs, etc. And switch to eating much more fatty foods like avocados, cheese, nuts, etc. A lot of people have completely reversed their diabetes AND FIBROMYALGIA using the keto diet. TRT may reduce symptoms of diabetes and fibromyalgia due to reducing some inflammation, but TRT needs to be used along with proper diet and exercise to work the best. Good luck!

It's important to note that TRT requires close monitoring and individualised adjustments to dosage and frequency. Additionally, managing body fat levels can help control estrogen levels as excess body fat can contribute to higher estrogen levels. It's also possible that doctors didn't monitor your estrogen levels closely enough, which could have contributed to the issues you're experiencing. It may be beneficial to speak with a healthcare provider to develop a personalised treatment plan that addresses your specific needs and concerns.

Please a question. Six weeks ago my testosterone level was 152. My doctor prescribed 200 mg a week given 100 mg preloaded shots every 3 1/2 days. Now my level is 2600 my EstroGel is 100 and during the whole time I felt lousy. I didn’t do the work I was depressed my weight shot from 210 to 222. Seriously depressed. i’m now retired living in Thailand three weeks. Went to a doctor got tested he saw my level was 2600. Took me off the T wait a week to get tested again. Is are there any cases where TRT does not absorb into the body. I’ve used the gel but very small doses my doctor was a female in Hawaii and she did not believe in Trd but because my level was 152 she put me on low doses I did feel better on the gel but not great level only went through430. So we up the doses but now I feel terrible now being off of it for over a week I’m back to being even more depressed. Not sure how to turn on where to turn and I’m in Thailand. I will look up the thyroid I know thyroid works on keeping your water level balance in your body so it is important. There must be a test for it a blood test I’m assuming we’ll watch this video again I think you said super sensitive thyroid hypersensitive thyroid problem I watch again testosterone does not absorb into a man’s body. I give myself shots in my belly fat I watch the videos were giving into your belly fat is better absorption it’s not working for me not sure I’m 64 to 22 just retired was hoping this would was hoping. Ain’t no free rides in this life nothings easy thanks for the video I just first time I seen you guys. I saw the other TRTH and oh with those guys but now everyone’s quoting Joe Rogan doing mushrooms Hiawatha DMT Joe Joe Rogan is a stoner man you know he’s a he’s a he’s a comedian he got lucky but I don’t wanna take health results whole health from him I hate I get the TOT I was hoping to hold off on it but 152 that’s a dangerously low. And as a man the lawyer testosterones the closer you are to death I’m trying to avoid that. But the doctors don’t say the doctors don’t care there’s a war on men but anyway thanks for the platform thanks for the information I’ll watch more of yawls videos you seem like sensible men. When a woman goes to see a doc and asks about contraceptive hormones that affect her hormonal balance - no issues, done on the spot. When a mid-age woman goes to a MD and asks about menopause treatment, everyone takes her serious. When a transgender goes to the doc and asks for higher T to make them more male, no issues. But when a male looking relatively healthy goes to a doc with bloodwork results showing low T, everyone turns him away. Tell me why?! Testosterone is stigmatized, especially when you are a relatively healthy male who really tries to make it, goes to the gym etc. I get that "first do not harm" by Hippocratic school that they go by (and they should), but they can harm a man by providing no treatment. Also, why not implement another quote by another famous philosopher: "It is a shame for a man to grow old without seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable" - Socrates. I'd add "of which his body AND MIND" to it, because are minds control our bodies.
I'm 34 and for 6 months month by month my T was low (doctor wanted to check results every month). Finally I was referred to a T doctor. He requested another bloodwork and my T was in borderline normal. Canada, low normal range was 8.0, I was @ 8.8, and past few months I was at 4.0 - 5.0. He sees the results and says "your T is perfect, your body is producing, whatever you do keep doing it" and sends me home with nothing. I asked him how about we try TRT to bring it up to mid range together with hcg and see how I feel, he rejected. Again, stigmatized by being a young male, healthy looking, big beard, relatively fit with muscles because I really try my best. I was having issues related to brain fog, overall lack of motivation, no enjoyment of life, anxiety and other things. I was not the same guy as I was in my 20s or very early 30s. Low normal T is not normal for a 34yro, it's ok for a 70-80 yro. I finally gave up and considered underground suppliers but I was worried about their quality. Signed up with an online clinic specialized in T and finally they were the only ones to confirm that my T was not normal for a male my age and offered treatment. They put me on hcg and trt. I'll pickup my prescription drugs in 2-3 days and see how it goes. I asked them what range they'd shoot at and I was told that they taper the levels based on how you feel, not a fixed range but they can't overshoot. Of course for a quite hefty fee but whatever... Enough is enough, I want to push through my life, I want to enjoy it, I want to be THE MAN. Men are not prepared to live in nowadays work, we are supposed to be hunters, running free, fighting to survive, taking care of others. In the meantime, we are usually stuck with out 9-5 jobs with chronic stress, perform at work, come back home, take care of our children and wives, help cleaning up, provide for the family, perform in bed when SHE wants it and maybe it the gym at 11pm after all that. It's not sustainable. On top of that, we are served with food full of hormones and chemicals that lower our T and with water full of female hormones that have not been removed during treatment. It's estimated that T levels in males have dropped by almost half in 50 years and now over 50% of males have low T that is not low due to their age.

Ive been mainly carnivore with some fruit for a couple years now and the changes in my body and health have been incredible. Many men report that their test levels go back up when eating this way so I want to see how well I can do on my own. Id rather let my body regulate my hormones its self since it knows how to do it perfectly well after millions of years of evolution. The fact that TRT can cause other blood counts to go up like hematocrit, psa, estradiol etc... tells me that TRT isnt a perfect solution and is throwing a wrench into the works as far as how our bodies regulate many systems on its own. The lass I mess with it and let it work as intended the better I'll feel about it.

It's impressive to hear about your active lifestyle at 82 and your continued good libido. It's certainly possible to have a healthy libido even with age-related declines in testosterone. However, low testosterone levels can affect energy levels and muscle strength.
Since you mentioned that you used TRT in the past and felt weaker with lower energy after stopping, it might be worth considering a conversation with a healthcare provider. They can evaluate your hormone levels and overall health to see if resuming TRT or exploring other options could help with your energy levels and overall well-being.

    • @balancemyhormones
      @balancemyhormones  Рік тому +1

It's optimal to do everything in moderaion. Having a 3 month holiday shouldn't preclude you from TRT as TRT is for life. It's good to find some balance with your drinking. Perhaps you can minimise your drinking when on holiday and still have an enoyable time. One thing to keep in mind is that excessive alcohol consumption can interfere with the effectiveness of TRT and may worsen certain side effects.
If you do decide to proceed with TRT, it may be helpful to have an open conversation with your healthcare provider about your alcohol consumption and how it may affect your treatment. They can provide guidance on how to minimize potential risks and ensure that you are getting the most out of your TRT.
Additionally, it's important to keep in mind that TRT is not a magic solution and should be combined with other healthy lifestyle choices, such as regular exercise and a balanced diet. This can help to optimize the benefits of TRT and reduce the risk of negative side effects.
Overall, it's important to approach TRT with a balanced and informed perspective, and to work closely with a qualified healthcare provider to ensure that you are getting the most out of your treatment while minimizing potential risks.

The studies I've seen show that 80-90% of users recover back to their normal levels before cycle but it typically takes 6-9 months.
Also, if you're just wanting to do a "cycle", you shouldn't stay on for a year straight. Cycles are typically only ran for 12 weeks at a time.

If your prone to hair loss like 70% of men it's going to rapidly accelerate that pretty much every time I don't care what they say. Also if you're acne-prone it's going to make your acne far worse so if you lose your hair and have a pizza face is it really worth it? Those are questions you should ask yourself before starting TRT.

Never felt better honestly - my libido is through the roof, test is 472 (all natural at 40 years old) - SSRI's have their place, however Doctor's tend to hand them out like candy in a liberal manner without addressing the root cause of anxiety/depression. I am 34 and I had been drinking hard since my 20s. I stopped drinking and I feel great in mornings, but after 4pm especially after 6 I start feeling so depressed that as if someone close to me died. I came to a conclusion that happens because I always drunk in evenings and my brain is used to get some doping after 6 and my brain keeps expecting it every evening and that’s why I get such bad feelings. So that means some hormone drops so I checked my test levels and my bloodwork showed 240 and I have injected my first 200mg. I am a bit worried that my balls will shrink and I will never be able to have kids also the fact that if I get off then I will feel worse so it is like I will be hooked for all my life like an addict. The second injection is 3 days away and I keep thinking to stop or not because it is just first week and I haven’t been able to feel a good side of it. I’ve been training for a quite long time as well and actually am very energetic and I would’t say I lack any energy, but I get a lot of brain fog. • @balancemyhormones
      @balancemyhormones  Рік тому

Thanks for your question. If you are experiencing insane muscle cramps after an intramuscular injection of testosterone, there could be a few different factors at play. It's possible that the injection was not given properly, causing the fluid to leak out and irritate surrounding tissues. Dehydration or electrolyte imbalances could also be contributing factors. In rare cases, an allergic reaction could cause muscle cramps and other symptoms.
If you're experiencing severe or persistent muscle cramps, it's important to speak with your healthcare provider to determine the underlying cause and appropriate treatment. They will be able to assess your symptoms and provide guidance on next steps.

I'm 21, and the biggest reason I want to stop trt, is just that. I'm 21. I was talked into starting a very heavy steroid cycle in January by my dad, without even doing any of my own research at all. Stupid I know, I but I didn't think I'd need to being someone I obviously trust. Turns out he was just as oblivious as I was, Even though he took steroids for over a decade. Nonetheless, 9 months later, after experiencing numerous side effects such as very severe acne, and gynocemastia which I've since had surgically removed, I completely stopped. I was then advised to take trt as I was really feeling the effects of having no testosterone, and I've been taking 150mg of enanthate a week since October. I now just want out of this world if I'm honest. My acne has continued to worse while on trt, it's bursts and bleed through clothing, ruining bedding and is just extremely painful and difficult to live with. You can imagine what that's like in the bedroom. I have no idea what my natural levels were before starting this 'journey', and I wish I did. I would guess that they were quite low, just based on my energy levels and general quality of life, which I have to say has increased since being on cycle and trt. I will definitely never do a steroid cycle again, but I'm just wondering how and if I should quit trt, and just return to being a natural healthy 21 year old, who doesn't have to worry about all of this. The biggest reason for me, is just the stress. The load on my mind, the pin frequency, I'm just tired of it all and I want out of it. My main concern is that if I put myself through having no test, and I'd of course do a pct, that id find myself returning to trt anyway, and just making this journey all the more difficult. I'm just wondering what you would advise to someone as young as myself who stupidly threw themselves into this lifestyle, and desperately wants out. Any advice, form anybody would be greatly appreciated.
    P.s
I travel often, and I often am forced to miss days or maybe even a week or so of injections a handful of times a year, which Is another concern. I have plans to live and work abroad, and scrambling for the nearest testosterone dealer as soon as I'm off the plane, sounds awful. I should also mention that none of the trt that I've done has been under any guidance. I have tried asking the NHS for advice or help with blood tests etc, but they just advise that I stop taking testosterone and I'll eventually get my own natural production back

I think many doctors are too conservative on dosing. The normal range is 300-900 and you go in with a 290 total T so they put you on 100 mg a week. They retest you and now you're at 450 and they say congratulations you're healthy. I can tell you 800 is way better than 450 for living a good life and not feeling like an old man. There is little evidence of risk putting someone at the high end of the range, particularly if you have a guy at the middle of the range who is still a couch potato vs. a guy at the high end who has the energy to go out and exercise and can build muscle easily.

TRT is not a cycle. If you were self medicating then you did not do TRT you did a cycle albeit most likely a small cycle. If you were prescribed TRT from a clinic then you must certainly needed it and coming off will cause you to revert to you former symptoms. If you used TRT when you didnt need it as in having no discernable symptoms and then added testosterone thinking more was better then thats not ideal but perhaps you function better with more optimal levels. If you are experiencing testicular atrophy then yes and exogenous teststorone whether its TRT or a cycle can do this but it can be managed with HCG though its never quite as good for size as your own intact HPTA axis producing LH, FSH and downstream endogenous and intratesticular testosterone.

I quit because I didn’t want to be dependent on it for the rest of my life.
Also, you are fueling big pharma when you jump on trt right away before trying natural remedies and getting your health and exercise in check first.
On that note, trt is a 2 Billion dollar industry

Ideally yes. Ideally men shouldn’t need testosterone replacement therapy but we don’t live in an ideal world and exposure to environmental toxins and endocrine disrupters is real so when trying to restore one Testosterone is not possible then TRT offers hope for men and women.

I'm 55....been working out brutally as a Gym Rat since I was 21. I embarked twice briefly on bootleg TRT and the estro blockers but each time I felt it in my body that this was a long term car wreck waiting to happen. I continue working out with weights and a heavy bag AND eating right and no alcohol plus zinc and magnesium and protein shakes and occasional collagen and CREATINE....it's just not worth it......stay natural. The older you get the more important to have OPERATIONAL straight over bulk muscles any day

If you don’t need testosterone and you have no symptoms then of course no one is trying to convince you that you should start it. So many men do suffer needlessly who are not blessed with optimal levels and have no symptoms related to low Testosterone. Studies show that blood levels do not necessarily correspond with symptoms.
