Tiberius Brutus the brutii senate is making new legislation to make all sexual crimes legal including necrophilia and beastiality in honor of Cassius Corpulentus
Steve, Croton needs you more than the Eternal City does. If you were a Brutii General, at this point, you'd have gotten the max level of the "Good Farmer" trait, given how productive the fields of Croton are.
*sniff sniff* *Cries* *in a sad voice* We did it i am the emperor of the Brutii empire Rome is ours will you miss me for the final Time #JULIANUSVATINIUS
It's been a long road cousin. We never did get to have epic battle or go bowling or what the fuck my plan was but at least you got back at those Red Bastards for betraying me... fare well... cousin. *Fades away*
Day 47 The damned Scipii spy Stevious Flagpole has yet again evaded me. Even though his faction has been extinguished I have heard stories of a walking flagpole strolling around Athens. I will soon be deployed there to investigate.
When do you think people die? When they are pierced through the heart by a pilum? No. When they are ravaged by an incurable disease? No. When they drink a soup made from a poisonous mushroom!? No! It’s when they are forgotten. And Rome will not be forgotten. The Brutii shall pass, their leaders names will be like children's writing in the sandy beach waiting for the tide of history to pass over them. But Rome shall remain a beacon forever! (Jon I'd just like to say thank you for giving us this series, it's refreshing to find someone who's capable at the game as well as entertaining. It's sad to see it end but now I'll be following and probably keeping silent as I used to do since this character is no longer needed. Thank you Jon)
You were my favourite Marcus, I've said it before and I'll say it again. Thank you for the many, many laughs. Same to the rest of you, Publius, the Steves, Brutii and the countless others.
Marcus Maxentius, your name shall not be forgotten. we will remember your name in Elysium, a temple to the republic awaits you brother, your new home in the afterlife
I like to think that Julianus Vatinius/ the Killer/ Victor made an oath not to send men to attack Rome... and he keeps that promise by sending dogs, lol
Seeing as the original Julianus Vatinius isn't here in the comments anymore I would like to say as the 2nd Roman Family member to enter the comments this has been truly marvelous and I am glad that all of you joined in, we truly are an amazing community! *gets back into character* Today is a magnificent victory for all true Romans, Rome is ruled by those who deserve to rule it! My only regret is that I wasn't alive to see it... actually thats a lie I also regret being father of Julianus Scapula but hey what can you do! Roman Steel In A Brutii Fist
Fellow Romans It's easy to weep and say, simply enough, this is the end. But that's where you're wrong, for we Brutii will live on him hearts and minds. Who could not forget the laughter we shared when we watched the Greek leaders torn apart by our vast legions of dogs. And who of us did not shed a tear for Captain Nero’s last ride? Who of us wasn't proud when we watched the Egyptian army buckle under the weight of Julianus Vatinius? I will never forget my historic battle for Patavium and making my way from a General to the faction leader and an Augustus. So let us not weep because our adventure is over, let us rejoice that it happened.
when you said you prepared something special for the siege of rome, i really hoped that you were secretly upgrading one of the city to urban barracks to show off urban cohorts, but as soon as i saw 14 units of dogs, i literally bursted into laughter, you jon, you are a magnificent bastards and i salute you. by the way, there is 52 handlers in a 192 dog unit, so (192-52)*14=1960, there were 1960 dogs in there, charging at 160 legionaries, those guys must be really confused and horrified at the same time
Lentulus Brutus sleeps with an oil lamp burning constantly through the night to allay his fear of the dark. Not content with this he makes no less than three soldiers guard his tent until morning and can't even sleep properly if he is not cuddling his childhood toy - a stuffed model of a weasel, an animal he feels a particular bond towards!
Rest Marcus, your part has been played and admirably. Take your bow and join us in the Afterlife. As one of my few favoured friends we got you a nice palace.
Friends! Romans! Countymen! Fear not! For I, Publius the Handsome have sallied forth with our finest troops we could muster to defend our great city and our honor! We shall hold back these traitourous Brutii savages and... wait a second, what's that noise?... who are you and what are you doing? No! Stay back! not dogs! NOT MY BEAUTIFUL FACE!!! AAAAHHHHH!!!!!
*(Let's have a Fallout NV ending slide for some reason... the other romans can do ones for their dude guys cause I dont like writing other people's characters)* And so the Creaton Archer who cheated into being a general in some mountain range in Greece conquered Rome. The continent of Europe was forever changed. The Brutii celebrated its great victory at Rome, establishing control of the region. The Roman Empire had finally fallen under the banner of the Brutii. "Despite his skill in bowling, fighting, and strong communist russian disco dancing, Julianus Ventidius despite conquering many lands for the Julii never managed to get the battle with his cousin he wanted. Instead he was betrayed during the Battle of Lemoniam when he heroically (And depressingly) charged into a field of infantrymen. A bowling alley was later built in Lemoniam in his honor. "
Stevius flagpole continued to hide from the Brutii, slowly regaining strength for the scipiones and one day hoping to rebel against the julii, guided by his spirit he led small rebels, taking losses to his men but never dying, blessed by his spirit for his courage to stand against overwhelming force
Publius the Handsome was found hiding in a large flower pot in the senate. After being fed to the war hounds, he was crucified upon a nearby hill allowed to gaze on his beloved Rome as he awaited death. Bruttii citizens who passed by couldn't help but admire his handsome corpse. what awaits him in the afterlife is up to the gods...
Minerva would continue her quest for recognition hoping one day to stand shoulder to shoulder with her brothers and sisters. She never forgot the slights of the Brutii and would orchestrate the collapse of the empire in future. Ultimately, she found peace, resting in Elysium with her partner Venus and her Senator friends.
During the Long Peace that followed the Brutii campaign, Croton prospered economically and culturally, becoming a jewel for the Empire. Steve served loyally for decades with great success, but periodically he would miss the glory and excitement of the war. What a time to have been alive! he thought to himself. But after a moment of reflecting, he would return to his paperwork.
Cassius continued his sexual adventures in the afterlife. His 300 children are all in healthy condition. The STDs his body spawned are expected to remain prevelant for centuries to come and his chicken nugget recipe remains a mystery to this day. He is still attempting to sex the God emperor, *JON*
"And so Julianus the Killer rode into a Rome whose streets were awash with blood. First his savage dogs tore limb from limb the brave husbands, fathers, sons and brothers who had taken up arms to defend their homes; then the beasts were released to slaughter the wives, mothers and daughters of the Eternal City in their tens of thousands. His cronies and crooked, corrupt co-conspirators cheer him now, but history will remember Julianus the Killer for what he truly was: A vicious, bloody tyrant." - Plutarch, probably. Great series though. I hope you do more Total Wars or similar games.
Just to let you know. THIS series is what brought me to this amazing channel. I was pretty ill, lying on bed at home, reading some books about the Roman republic and i felt a little bit bored. So i was just browsing a youtube for like half n' hour and i saw some freshly released video from RTW, a game i used to play a lot in recent years. It was the eight part of this epic march on Rome. I have subscribed immediately. Thank you and congratulations.
*Viva la Vatinius* He's going to rule the world Armies march when he gives the word He doesn't have to sleep alone A goddess all for his own Sending out his assassins and spys To steal the life from his enemies eyes Listen to the crowd that sings Death to the reds, long live the greens! Not only because of Jon with the great gameplay, historical facts and obligatory muppetry and low perception, but also because of the comments section and all the characters who have evolved and created magic together. Thank you all! I created this parody as an ode to the series and the comments. If anyone has any improvements please tell me and I will edit it, though chicken nuggets probably won't fit...
Lentulus Maxentius was a true Roman! Once he saw that the battle couldn't be won, he called a full retreat, but he knew Julianus the Killer would pursue his men with cavalry. And so, in order to save his army, he ran within inches of the Brutii formation to distract the enemy archers and force Julianus to pursue him instead of his men.
That sea of wardogs was one of the most beautiful things I think I've ever seen, Jon. Not since the defense of the bridge of a single hoplite against a thousand chariots have I seen something so glorious. Thank you, Jon. For every beautiful moment you've given us for years, and may there be many more to come. Julianus protects.
Rite Flyer M&B is a great game, but it's painfully boring for UA-cam, because it's so slow-paced, it's dedinitely not the best game for a long UA-cam series
It is, but Rome: Total War also got slow-paced towards the end, Jon even said in one episode that he had to edit out a lot of micromanaging due to the size of his empire. I think Mount and Blade (Warband) would make a good series, with Jon's skills.
"Cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war!!!" FUCK and YES. Jon, you have been an amazing gentleman to go through this entire series in the manner you have. I cannot thank you enough for the labors of love in putting forth 56--FIFTY SIX!!--episodes for this wonderful game. Thank you, sir.
Memoirs of a Brutii Centurion dating to January 215 a. Chr. "I was there, on the Capitoline hill, when Julianus Vatinius was named Emperor. "I found Rome in the gutter, and I have rebuilt it" AVE ROMA, AVE EMPERATOR"
A fitting finale to one of the most enthralling lets plays I have ever seen, your historical insight has been educational and has actually inspired me to pick up Roman based combat in Dagorhir, and reading up on Roman history in general. This series has been my respite during days where anxiety was bad, and is what I looked forward to a lot of days. Thanks Jon for your awesome gameplay and commentary! Can't wait to see what RTS game you meticulously destroy next!
So sad to see this end, stumbled on it halfway through and binge watched the first half and followed it since and it's my favourite series on UA-cam just now. Love this game and you've taught me so much more about it and played it so masterfully and given so much personality to the generals. Would happily watch you take the whole map but Alas. Hope to see medieval 2 or the Alexander the Great campaign one day
What a ride, Jon, what a damned ride. This has not yet oficially ended, and I already miss it. You have not idea how much fun I've had with this amazing series, the best I've ever watched in YT, ever. Thanks for this ride, I'll be sure to keep following everything you upload. Love.
As a patron, I'm very happy to know what is almost assuredly coming next, and am excited. This was a wonderful series that got me to play rome 1 again. and discover a love for rome 2
I really miss those pre-battle speeches of the general man.. It actually chances depending on the times you won or lost against a opponent.. Wish they kept it in the next games.. This is in my opinion still one of the best Total War games around.
Oh I loved this series (and I'm excited to watch the Epilogue)! It's been a few years since I last played this (though I never finished it as I kept restarting) but I loved the nostalgia it brought and the tricks you taught us. I stumbled across you actually because my favourite UA-camr (Docks, a FIFA UA-camr) asked for suggestions of series' to watch and my goodness, am I glad that I saw this as a suggestion. I am so excited to watc your new Medieval II series!
I suppose that is some consolation! (I don't know about the Steam version but in the old game you could change some files to make the unplayable factions playable)
I think he hinted at a medieval 2 series, at least he said there would be more coming in the total war series. For me that would mean Medieval 2 or possible Shogun 2. That or Rome 2 as the Brutti again? But unlikely. My money's on Medieval!
Just noticed, in the first battle, he didn't lose a single cavalrymen when they destroyed the senate's cavalry, then he loses 14 fighting the siege engineers, are roman engineers better fighters than their cavalry?
Well, I have to admit, this is both the best and the worst birthday gift I got today. Thank you for the wonderful time, and granting me my newest addiction, Jon. It has been great.
Can you please do another series, where the comments decide what you must do each episode - within tactical reason. But strange challenges etc. You're a pro, and it would be fun.
Oh man, I going to miss this series. Its one of the reasons why I found this channel and subscribed to it. Thank you, Jon, for such a fantastic series and a fantastic channel.
With your dogged perseverance and wooflesss hounding of your opponent's, I'd wagger that even the great Hannibal Barker would kneel to the new emperor.
There is but one more installment left. One more comment section to reduce to incoherent roleplay, and one more hidden town to find. But failing that, dear Dionysios could always show folk where it is. (If he genuinely forgets about it, I'll likely try and have a sketch about it being the final resting place of Dionysios.)
For aiding the scipii, Stevius Flagpole was covered in pitch, set alight and thrown off of Mount Olympus, superstitious legionaries believe he lives on as the burned flagpole.
So it has come... Rome is to be besieged, the Res publica is to be ended, Iuppiter's name shall be echoed from Gallia to Phoenicia! The Brutii, led by Julianus Vatinius' mighty and gods-blessed sword, have been led to glory! His rule shall be long and grand. The other Patrician Houses, they bend to our will. The barbarians, the Greeks, they kiss our feet. Imperium has begun.
I approve of that finale with the army of hounds feeding on the last of the Sentate's warriors. The most glorious example of feeding leaders to the hounds that we have seen in this series and one that will go down in history!
I really enjoyed you play this campaign. Maybe for another series I would love to watch- unlocking SPQR faction in game menues and going for total victory, its a lot more challenging playing as Rome, it takes many turns to build an army and the civil war starts very quickly because there's no technical "senate"
Julianus Bolton. Didn't even see fit to enter the city during the siege, he and his Cretan buddies decided to sit outside and hold the first ever ancient BBQ party while the dogs ate everyone.
It took me all summer, but I've finally gotten all caught up on Rome! Now I can finally stop my desperate binge to- *Sees title of most recent Medieval II video* Wellllllll flip.
Also, a round of applause for the comment-general-unit-extras-and-pigs accounts. They've been great.
At your service, milord.
Many A True Nerd Jon, you've got me hooked playing Rome Total War
Thank you for the great content!
loved everything about this series. great job man
You made it worth the effort!
*Cassius sees that there are 69 elephant riders remaining
*smiles from Heaven
:)
Is elephant bestiality illegal in Rome? Well, it should be.
Tiberius Brutus the brutii senate is making new legislation to make all sexual crimes legal including necrophilia and beastiality in honor of Cassius Corpulentus
Cassius Corpulentus you having fun with that elephant?
+Lentelus Brutus Including having sex with women under the age of 13? (13 was the "age of consent" for females in Ancient Rome.)
Huzzah! Congrats to Emperor Julianus Vatinius! If you need a governor for Rome.... (slides my resume across the table)
I think you're doing a great job in Croton, actually.
This. This is all I've ever wanted in my life.
Steve, Croton needs you more than the Eternal City does. If you were a Brutii General, at this point, you'd have gotten the max level of the "Good Farmer" trait, given how productive the fields of Croton are.
Huzzah for the Great peasant governor of Croton STEVE!!!
You are doing a good job, Stevius.
I'd like to thank the War Pigs, they proved to be an invaluable asset in the battle for Rome!
They were of no help to me. But then again I had to do everything for those non-bowling Julii traitors.
Yes! The pre-battle bacon did look delicious, especially with those leeks...
-You're welcome... Gnaeus...- *throws up inside my mouth* oink!
*sniff sniff* *Cries* *in a sad voice* We did it i am the emperor of the Brutii empire Rome is ours will you miss me
for the final Time #JULIANUSVATINIUS
Farewell you massively overpowered butt kicker...
#RTW4Ever
It's been a long road cousin. We never did get to have epic battle or go bowling or what the fuck my plan was but at least you got back at those Red Bastards for betraying me... fare well... cousin. *Fades away*
Thank you for finishing what I started, Emperor.
Ave Imperator... Avete vos...
*sobs* I'm not crying! You're crying!
Day 47
The damned Scipii spy Stevious Flagpole has yet again evaded me. Even though his faction has been extinguished I have heard stories of a walking flagpole strolling around Athens. I will soon be deployed there to investigate.
You WOOD not be able to catch him, no matter how hard you tried!
*Squeak!*
No Boo. The puns will never end!
Lentulus Brutus HAHAHA, YOU SHALL NEVER FIND MY BODY
*laughs in Scipii*
Lentulus Brutus
You will never find me. NEVER I SAY!
Didn't you hear? He's having an orgy with Minerva in the afterlife.
Joe Gurr I'm right here we are having a great time.
When do you think people die?
When they are pierced through the heart by a pilum? No.
When they are ravaged by an incurable disease? No.
When they drink a soup made from a poisonous mushroom!? No!
It’s when they are forgotten.

You were my favourite Marcus, I've said it before and I'll say it again. Thank you for the many, many laughs. Same to the rest of you, Publius, the Steves, Brutii and the countless others.
Also, I hope Jon does do an epilogue of sorts with the secret village at least.
Keep the character going please, if only for the occasional reference so we always remember!
Marcus Maxentius, your name shall not be forgotten. we will remember your name in Elysium, a temple to the republic awaits you brother, your new home in the afterlife
love the One Piece reference, i just watched that episode.

Today is a magnificent victory for all true Romans, Rome is ruled by those who deserve to rule it! My only regret is that I wasn't alive to see it... actually thats a lie I also regret being father of Julianus Scapula but hey what can you do!
Roman Steel In A Brutii Fist
Plan for success.
Step 1. Make Senate flavored dog food.
Step 2. Something exciting happens.
Step 3. Profit.
Boo would like to request the eyes before the dogs get it.
*Ravenous squeak!*
Tiberius Brutus Well Tiberius, you're already worm food.
I was buried at sea, though.
Marine worms are a thing, they're almost as ugly as Spurius too!
Et tu Tiberius? remember that time we had you for dinner and sport at the Coliseum?
Fellow Romans It's easy to weep and say, simply enough, this is the end. But that's where you're wrong, for we Brutii will live on him hearts and minds. Who could not forget the laughter we shared when we watched the Greek leaders torn apart by our vast legions of dogs. And who of us did not shed a tear for Captain Nero’s last ride? Last time I was this early, Cassius the Lewd was still Cassius the Alive.
Corpulentus*
A title Jon didn't realize he had until he read his tombstone.
You guys remember when I was alive? Man, that was great. If only I wasn't super old.
Tiberius Brutus I hear you are posing as an old man in Croton
Tiberius Brutus You are alive in our hearts.
*VICTORY ORGY*
Cassius Corpulentus um I will join you
Cassius Corpulentus um me too bring women lots of them
No girls allowed
Julianus Vatinius shut up imposter
If you need a venue, Croton will rent one out for free~
And so the remains of the last Senate unit were digested by Wardogs...

how are you still breathing with all of those dog bites...
The afterlife has good wi fi... whatever that word means!
Hades sure looks a lot like the youtube comment section... not too surprising

Watching Jon scream "MORE DOGS" has to be one of the best parts of this whole series imho.
I'm so proud of my Hooting Son.
Rome would have been a distant fantasy without you, Lentulus for Faction Heir
mat rhein thank you. You will not be crucified
Lentulus Brutus I won't even implore out of fear my terrifying lord
*Viva la Vatinius*
He's going to rule the world
Armies march when he gives the word
He doesn't have to sleep alone
A goddess all for his own
Sending out his assassins and spys
To steal the life from his enemies eyes
Listen to the crowd that sings
Death to the reds, long live the greens!
All the time he held the key
To Brutii triumphant victory
And Julianus could easily stand
On his billions of adoring fans
Hear Julii generals bowling
Roman equities, the senate complaining
Fear his forces, his sword and shield
The shiny bald head he proudly fields
And for some reason I can explain
Julianus Vatinius is in the hall of fame
Always a Roman sword
With a Brutii final word
It was a noble and glorious wind
Blew down the gates to let him in
And Spurius asks how come
The faction leader is so handsome?
All the legionnaires wait
To help him achieve his fate
The best ever archer Cretan
Julianus for God Emperor King
Hear the oiled Greeks all wrestling
Roman equities, Cassius slamming
Fear his forces, his sword and shield
The gorgeous bald head he proudly fields
And for some reason I can explain
The Vatinius line will forever reign
Always a Roman sword
With a Brutii final word
Oooh-oooh-oooh (x5)
Hear Barbarian cavalry yelling
Roman equities, war pig oinking
Fear his forces, his sword and shield
The boldly bald head he proudly fields
And for some reason I can explain
The Vatinius line will forever reign
Always a Roman sword
With a Brutii final word
Boo, when did you decide to become a bard?
*Squeak squeak!*
On a serious note though, I have to say this has been my favourite series ever.
My finally words were "Oh fuck BOWLIN-" and then I was stabbed in chest.
My final words were " I EXIST JULIANUS, WHY DO YOU THINK NERO IS DEAD YOU LOW PERCEPTION F-"
Before I was stabbed thirty times, and bled out.
Julianus Ventidius you put cretin, not Cretan, but as a Brutii, cretin is still appropriate
I'd say other than switching 'cretin' for 'Cretan' - nothing can ever be improved about this.
Thank you for both the catch and the compliment!
Lentulus Maxentius was a true Roman! Once he saw that the battle couldn't be won, he called a full retreat, but he knew Julianus the Killer would pursue his men with cavalry. I think Mount and Blade would suit you well.
Rite Flyer I thought that the first episode of this series.
Rite Flyer M&B is a great game, but it's painfully boring for UA-cam, because it's so slow-paced, it's dedinitely not the best game for a long UA-cam series
Exantius9 Funny, I feel the same about RTW
It is, but Rome: Total War also got slow-paced towards the end, Jon even said in one episode that he had to edit out a lot of micromanaging due to the size of his empire. I think Mount and Blade (Warband) would make a good series, with Jon's skills.
he really should do a Mount & Blade Warband - Viking Conquest- its historical instead

British Isles in Total War Medieval 2! All Hail Britannia! ALL HAIL BRITANNIA!
You'reThatMantis we call that Rule Britannia lol
All Hail Lelouch! All Hail Britannia!.... wait wrong series
So this may be the end of our glorious Rome! But we will return!
the title we've all been waiting for. i cannot wait for whatever series you do next for a total war game :) excellent series! cheers jon
Spiffing Brit actually did a video on dog spam in this game recently. Surprisingly OP in city sieges, especially with upgraded dogs.
And here we are, the end of an era. I hope the Brutii Family becomes a running gag on the channel
I won't be going anywhere, I made this account and I'm going to stick with it.
:')
jon have to say this is my favourite you have ever done thank you for playing this game
This episode brought a whole new meaning to the quote "Cry havoc, and let slip the dogs of war"
Brilliant series, I'm almost sad to see it end.
Memoirs of a Brutii Centurion dating to January 215 a. Chr.
"I was there, on the Capitoline hill, when Julianus Vatinius was named Emperor. "I found Rome in the gutter, and I have rebuilt it"
AVE ROMA, AVE EMPERATOR"
28:00 YOU CAN GIVE RETINUES TO OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS?! I'VE PLAYED TOTAL WAR FOR 10 YEARS HOW DID I NOT KNOW THIS
I like how the archers couldn't get into the siege tower but could somehow jump over the wall
Thank you for such a great series. Greatly enjoyed it!
RIP My favourite series you ever did / possibly my favourite UA-cam series ever.
Cry Havoc.
Cry 'Havoc' and let slip the dogs of War.
A glorious moment
Cry 'Havoc' and let slip the PIGS of War
This series is one of the best things that happened to the franchise. Thanks for the ride, you did it justice! :)
Love.
You missed a perfect opportunity for a pun back when you took Lemonum: "The Siege of Lemongrad"
"we've got quite a few ugly people in the empire"
Must be Oblivion imperials
guy in Rome wakes up, looks out the window and thinks "this city really has gone to the dogs..."
"Slam him in the rear"
I approve of this message
With elephants!?
I am so excited to watc your new Medieval II series!
literally minutes after I took Rome as the Julii in my reverse Vatinius campaign.
Et tu Minerva?
If it's any consolation I took it with the family of Marcus the Great who was a Julii you. I need one universe where Rome stands against the Brutii!
I suppose that is some consolation!
(I don't know about the Steam version but in the old game you could change some files to make the unplayable factions playable)
It crashes as the SPQR, trust me, I tried.
I thought it crashed only when you tab into the senate missions, but it's been some time I may be wrong.
oink!
-Imposter! How does this clone get likes!?!- Oink!?
oink!
OINK!
War Pig Oink?
WOOF- wait a minute
Loved the series! Medieval 2 or More Skyrim would be amazing next!
I think he hinted at a medieval 2 series, at least he said there would be more coming in the total war series. For me that would mean Medieval 2 or possible Shogun 2. That or Rome 2 as the Brutti again? But unlikely. My money's on Medieval!
I think he said he actually prefers Medieval, didn't he?
MrJabbothehut Medieval 2 is his 2nd favorite past Rome: Total War.
Really loved this series Jon! I hope that you did as well. Thank you
Good grief, the death animations under those last units was horrifying.
This series was a blast!!!
Definitely a classic for me...
Brave Sir Quintus ran away!
Bravely ran away away!
When danger reared its ugly head
He bravely turned his tail and fled
I've really enjoyed this series Jon.
I'd love to see some more total war on your channel.
Keep up the good work dude.
Such a great series. That was so much fun. Good show Jon.
Last time I was this early the brutii were still buddies with thrace.
All in favour of a Seleucid Empire Campaign, say Aye!
Rome barbarian invasion is next, I hope.
This was an excellent series, i certainly hope you do more strategy games going forward!
It's about time...! Been waiting all day!
You trained up an army of Julianus Victor, Cretan Archers, the elephants and 1000 war dogs. God I love this series 😂
Best series ever! Can not wait for what's next.
Been an awesome series and honestly a shame to see it go. MATN, if you see this, please make more content like this. Is been amazing ! :')
Man this was great, I'll keep watching to see what happened next, the grand finale was just as good as I had hoped
so we get the grand finale a day early?
im not complaining
Just noticed, in the first battle, he didn't lose a single cavalrymen when they destroyed the senate's cavalry, then he loses 14 fighting the siege engineers, are roman engineers better fighters than their cavalry?
I think for some reason engineers are harder to break.
The game ups their stats to give someone a fighting chance to reinforce them otherwise they'd break immediately.
*momentarily
That dog battle was probably my favorite of the entire series please do more of them.
Well, I have to admit, this is both the best and the worst birthday gift I got today. Thank you for the wonderful time, and granting me my newest addiction, Jon. It has been great.
31:35 "It's going to be about 3000 dogs versus 161 Legionary cohorts. Marvelous! If that doesn't work, I've brought elephants too!"
BRILLIANT!
Can you please do another series, where the comments decide what you must do each episode - within tactical reason. But strange challenges etc. You're a pro, and it would be fun.
One problem with that. Cassius.
Sex all the factions
The London Marathon and the Rome Marathon in one weekend. A runner's dream.
Oh my, when you showed the massive army of dogs, I cracked up. Flawless!
I love how many accounts have popped up from just the names of the generals XD
Oh man, I going to miss this series. Its one of the reasons why I found this channel and subscribed to it.
Thank you, Jon, for such a fantastic series and a fantastic channel.
With your dogged perseverance and wooflesss hounding of your opponent's, I'd wagger that even the great Hannibal Barker would kneel to the new emperor.
35:54 I started playing "Who let the dogs out!??"🐶🐕🎶🎵
Anyone else realise he never got that little town hidden in a marsh...
He said from the start that he would get it! Let's wait till tomorrow.
For aiding the scipii, Stevius Flagpole was covered in pitch, set alight and thrown off of Mount Olympus, superstitious legionaries believe he lives on as the burned flagpole.
After causing several men to receive an F in their history classes, the story of Julianus Victor comes to an end
Let us have a moment of silence for the 669 dogs that fallen on this great day
So it has come...
Awesome series, thank you!
Bold, refreshing and something I can't put my finger on.
Fantastic series , really enjoyed that , great work ... will we be seeing
another newer series of this ???
Thank you for almost making me vomit with laughter when you showed the Dog Army Reserves.
So…is it safe to say that Rome has gone to the dogs?
I approve of that finale with the army of hounds feeding on the last of the Sentate's warriors. The most glorious example of feeding leaders to the hounds that we have seen in this series and one that will go down in history!
YES I love how you brought in a surprise army of dogs, Jon!
Who let the dogs in?
I really enjoyed you play this campaign. Maybe for another series I would love to watch- unlocking SPQR faction in game menues and going for total victory, its a lot more challenging playing as Rome, it takes many turns to build an army and the civil war starts very quickly because there's no technical "senate"
Can we all take a minute to appreciate that gold athletic throw by the last standing Romans against that handler??????
Are we sure that Jon isn't crazy
Julianus Bolton. Didn't even see fit to enter the city during the siege, he and his Cretan buddies decided to sit outside and hold the first ever ancient BBQ party while the dogs ate everyone.
It took me all summer, but I've finally gotten all caught up on Rome! Now I can finally stop my desperate binge to-
*Sees title of most recent Medieval II video*
Wellllllll flip.
