Since the gameplay shows the playable character is using archers to ambushing or targeting something. It might be possible but we need to legit send them paper mail, it's going to probably add them. Online mail are less important in Japan and has more spamming. A physical paper mail will be better, and if we all send them to do us a favor to add that, then it's possible.
I don't actually like the "tons of fodder" point. It's too much imo. I prefer the DW3-5 amounts of troops. Less fodder but they're more aggressive and dangerous and meaningful to fight. They felt like they actually had an impact on the battle, rather the the officers being the only things that matter at all like the later DW games, where the peons are basically just dressing for you to ignore while you hunt the next officer.
@@darrylrobson4376 basic soldiers can actually sometimes overwhelm officers and take bases in the larger scale games if you leave them alone can confirm, the answer is more soldiers on both sides with more aggressive ai for soldiers on normal difficulty and higher, player movesets can stay as they are to effectively deal with them, increased numbers can distract soldiers enough to keep officers from getting swarmed all the time and overextending is much more dangerous, problems solved

Never got around to playing 9, but I’ve been a dynasty warriors fan since 2. Loved 3 the most. Put the most hours into 4. Fell off a little after 5 tho. Did love the Orochi warriors, DW:Gundam series, and of course Pirate Warriors. These games were the best parts of my childhood. Will always love Dynasty Warriors.
Fell off after 5? Dynasty Warriors 8 DE is one of the best games of the series. Dynasty Warriors 9 though...if you have not played it, don't. You'll be happier.
They use to pump out a new title every 5 months back in the PS2 era. Waiting over 6 years for a new Dynasty Warriors title feels like a lifetime has gone by.
I want the different tiers of bad guys too (sergeants, captains etc) I love mowing through 1000s of peasants like they are paper as much as the next guy but those PS2 games had enemies that could make things rough if you were too deep in enemy territory.😊
From the gameplay, it seems like we can control a portion of the army? That's sick if it's true. Been a long while since we can do that in a Warriors game.

This just looks wonderful although I think Cao Cao looks a bit thin in this scene, maybe he will gain a bit until the final release. If it was a DW10 then it would just be the same boring formula of the previous games, and we’d have to wait for XL or Empires for it to change up anything. Hopefully this game brings a new fresh start

I honestly would’ve preferred a Dynasty Warriors 10 that expanded on the older movesets from Dynasty Warriors 8 and big stages again instead of the open world 🫤 I’ve loved and played all the Dynasty Warriors games since Dynasty Warriors 3 and I currently own most of the games. Also a huge fan of Samurai Warriors and Warriors Orochi.
Slow down to 0.25, here's what I see: 0:39 Cheng Pu (weirdly with same design in DW9), seem like Cao Cao on the right 0:43 seem like Xu Huang smashing his poleaxe in the middle of the scene? 0:45 might be me trippin' but Zhang Liao with his double pikeaxes in far middle of the field (or could be just regular generic officer)? 0:58 young Cao Cao, with liners so thick you mistook him with Lu Bu. 1:00 and here obviously Lu Bu with the Red Hare. 1:05 finally we have Guan Yu. I haven't played DW9, but the weapon animations are quite identical to DW8, but they keep the input in DW9, maybe? Need to wait for more information. This trailer probably just how they show their intial idea of the game. My personal opinion is, if this game made strategy approach more viable, where it's very hard to push into enemy's formation (but still possible) and you rely on the musou officers around, have more options to tackle enemy formations. Then this would lead into a whole new era of Musou series.
In Dw3 in Battle of Hu Lao Gate Cao Cao was supposed to be Young at that time. Also in Dynasty Warriors 2 Hu Lao Gate Cutscene Xiahou Dun has 2 Normal Eyes and didn't have his Eye Patch
In Dw9 Older Liu Bei actually Looks Exactly Like Dynasty Warriors 2 Liu Bei to Me Design wise. Also Dynasty Warriors 2 Liu Bei Also Looks Younger than Dynasty Warriors 3 Liu Bei
Honestly, even if this plays more or less like any other Dynasty Warriors game (by no means a bad thing) the fact it looks this pretty and the scale they could ramp it up to with next gen technology, if they decide to take full advantage, could definitely carry it home.
They should make the fighting more like the old style, like dynasty warriors 3 - 4 - 5 when the soldiers and non-generic officers give real challenge . This style fits sengoku basara

Honestly, even if this plays more or less like any other Dynasty Warriors game (by no means a bad thing) the fact it looks this pretty and the scale they could ramp it up to with next gen technology, if they decide to take full advantage, could definitely carry it home.
