I had no actual idea about the picker button before! It’s like an eye dropper button on a color wheel. Great video and thanks to Quboid for making such a prominent and one of the most valuable MODs on cities skylines.

One of the best and most needed mod put there. Thanks to Quboid for creating it and thanks to you for making this great tutorial!!
You're very welcome! I'm glad it was helpful!
@@Slay3K Nice video man! What map was used in the beginning of the video?
great tutorial. The only addition I would make is that when picking types for selection like network or tree, there is a way to turn all off or on at once instead of constantly unchecking them all to get one type for selection. If you double click, quickly, on the square selection box between the single single select and copy buttons, you can toggle all selection types on/off. It is a tiny bit finicky at times so you need to make the double click rapidly.
An excellent tutorial. Great channel. I've subscribed! Looking forward to more excellent content
Welcome aboard! Thank you! Glad to have you along for the ride!

EXCELENT VIDEO MUY EXPLICATIVO ...MUY AGRADECIDO CON EL AUTOR ...EXITOS SIGAN ADELANTE
Thank you!
Here from a reference in a recent Overcharged Egg video. I was hoping to learn more about how to control copied marquee selections so I can copy-paste a grid pattern effectively. If I try to free-hand it, they don't line up quite right. I'm seeing the set position function now, but that's not to helpful if I don't know the starting position or where within my selection the coordinates refer to. My current WIP is a circular city and I blocked out 1/4 of it. I would love not to have to redo that work 3 times. I'm going to experiment with mirror, but I'm skeptical given that you mirror over a single segment. I guess I could draw a single segment over my entire axis of reflection, but then I'm back to free-handing things again...maybe. I guess I'll have to look into using place coordinates for the nodes of my road to reflect over.
Even if it works perfectly, I still have to blow up everything on the borders and redraw them so they connect properly. Alas.
great tutorial
Thank you!
I’m not able to raise props and assets up or down even though I’m doing what key bind I have it assigned to
thanks
but how do I raise and lower a road to match the height of terrain. when I lay rod it either goes under or raises automatically how do I make it level
Hi my problem is when I select a node sometimes, it begins to rise up and ctrl + Z doesn't help at all.
Would you consider doing a tutorial on how to work with the Ploppable RICO mod and Theme Manager? Something that explains how to take an asset that is a unique building and add RICO settings to it, and the implication of the settings to the game, and then add it to a theme so it spawns in game.
I’m considering both actually! I think theme mixer would be really helpful to share with folks! Just have to figure out how to put it together! Hoping to have more content out soon! Thanks for the recommendation, I’ll see what I can do!
I was disappointed to see the slope tool change. I liked the old version better, since it was more flexible. But then I found out that you can shift-click the slope button to use the old way, so I'm happy again. Very nice update.
Great point! I didn't mention that in the tutorial but that is an option! Glad you found that!
How do i rotate and change the elevation of something
Hi there! Quick question: I'm not getting a smooth slope from point A to B when I use the slope tool. Instead, I'm getting segment slopes. Example. If I have 3 segments, I'm getting an slope from point A to B for the first segment and then from B (first segment) to B Second Segment, and so on. Is there something else I need to setup to get the smooth slope from beginning to end? Thank a lot!!
Have you tried the slope tool in the Network Multitool mod? I find it works way better for multiple points 🙃
Honestly I slowed it down a tad I knew it made it long but I needed to understand and watch closely but it was very well put and explained alot of access tools that I'm not taking advantage of yet or was doing the hard way thanks so much subscribed
Glad it helped! It's a lot to cover and try to make an easily consumable video. Thanks for the sub!
Is it just me or, when you copy a road segment, both ends of the segment are not connected to the roads that segment (s) that you copied it to. I got the mod to help me avoid making on-ramp segments over and over again for each city block. I could copy a template and place the on-ramp to the next set of roads and avoid spending an hour duplicating work that I have already done. Is there a way to have the road segment integrate into the existing network?
Hey Rob, sorry for the late respond. I don't think Move It can just copy a road and place it into other roads. It can be helpful to duplicate certain things, but I believe you'll still need to connect it to other networks/roads manually.
Quboid is the savior of cities
xD
He's been quite helpful!
With Move It 2.9.6 did they remove the icon or is there a setting I'm missing? I toggle M to open Move It but the icon doesn't show up anymore. BTW, I'm a new subscriber and am enjoying your channel.
It’s activated in content manager via the main menu right?
Great video! Do I need any other additional mods for move it mod to work?
Move it should work on it's own!
@@Slay3K Great, thank you for such an informative video! After playing vanilla for a while I think I’m ready for modded gameplay 👍🏼
@@AdmiralDro No problem! Have fun!
How to do the runway taxiway pls
My problem with this mod is that I'm unable to change the height of props (like cars or signs) I have props selected but still nothing happens when I press page up or page down... Can someone help me out?
You need to activate a setting in, it might be prop + tree anarchy. It’s called submerge props or something like that. Then you’ll be able to do so.
how to adjust high and low by dragging..? i just can only set with "set position" button and fill by number
I'm not quite sure what you mean?
@@Slay3K it's ok i've figure it out.. turns out just using page up page down to adjust height in move it mod. i using mac so i don't have page down button.. 😅 have to use combination fn+arrow..
CUANDO REGRESA ???
I have 2.8.1 and I can´t seem to get the align function to work. Select a node of an nelevvated road (green) then click the align (height of object) button and then the object I want it to align to. Doesn´t work. Also ctrl+H gives nothing. Someone have some tips/advice what I could be doing wrong ?
Are you selecting all the nodes from the base height to the elevated height? I think three nodes is optimal.
Slay3K Not sure. E.g. for a road I select a node with the move it tool. It turns green, I then click the allign tool and then I select another node which shows white. You mean i should pick 2/ 3 green ones before clicking the allign button? Will the green selections allign to the h3ightnof the white node or the other way round? I'm still figuring out which is the reference height. I assumed the white node is, but since never been succesful I can't say.
Thanks for the video, but slope tool does not work in the way you presented. The selected segments of road are changing when I use the "Slope Objects" tool, but the road is still wonky at the nodes and doesn't have one and constant/steady slope/gradient. This is quite frustrating. I'm using version 2.9.2. Can you please help? Thanks
Hi, I'm the Move It dev, Slay3K asked me to look at this. The game forces some nodes to be flat, when they're a junction or a change in road type - could this be the issue? The wonderful mod Node Controller can fix this by making the nodes sloped.
Also keep in mind that the slope is between the two furthest apart selected objects. This means that very curved or spiral roads can't be sloped with Move It. Elektrix Road Tools can do this.
@@Quboid Many thanks, I watched couple of the available tutorials, followed exactly the instructions, but still can't get a proper slopes. It would be good, if "step by step" or "click by click" instructions will be provided to ensure there is no user error. There are no junctions. I'm testing on the different sections of newly built standard roads in brand new game. I tried using marquee tool and as well as selecting the nodes (as seen on other tutorial) but unfortunately either way no improvement. I will make more trials. Anyway, this is great mod, the most from it I care, are slopes :).
@@Quboid UPDATE: actually, I should mention that in my first post, the slope option in majority cases doesn't work at all. It doesn't do anything - no change at all. In some circumstances it changes the road, but as I wrote earlier, road is still wonky at the nodes. I unsubscribed and subscribed again, but it didn't help. I'm wondering are there maybe settings issue? Or does this mod require any other modes to be installed? Thanks
Is there a way to 'select all' or un-select all' of the options on the Marquee Tool list?
Sorry for the late respond, I don't think there is a way to un select, but I know you can do the double click on the check box to isolate one selection.
I can’t even use MoveIT as I’m on console. If I had a PC this video would have sold MoveIt to me in the first 2mins if the video. Great Video Slay 🤙🏻 #Quboid_
Thank you! I appreciate it! Mods make such a huge impact on the game! It's pretty incredible what doors they can open!
Slay3K 💯!! Definitely helps you create the content you do. Keep it up 💪🏻
What am I doing wrong that the Page up and Down buttons do nothing after I select the item
To help the issue, try going into options and looking at Prop Snapping. There should be an option to 'submerge' props and stuff. See if that helps!
i subscribed to move it but it doesnt pop up where all the other mods are
do i have to wait?
Should be instant, make sure it’s on via content manager on main menu
I'm wondering. Is there a way to make a road into a tunnel using the move it mod? Or no
No! You need to do that all within the road tools.
Very helpful, thank you! But how do you adjust the height?
Try Page Up and Page Down on the keyboard.
@@Slay3K Hi Slay, thnx for the tutorial. Unfortunately, pageDown & pageUp doesn't work on my MacBook. I tried to change the key set up but still... I was wondering if I'm the only one facing the issue...
@@Audionova75 I`m having the same issue - the buttons do not work, thought tht was me or something else. Still looking for an answer, btw.
Dude help please.. the icon that's beside the find icon to the left there. (Looks like a residential home) what's that mod called I had it and some got rid of it
Are you talking about Ploppable Rico?
@@Slay3K yes lol I got it back on thank you
What mods do you use to make the game look so realistic and lovely?
Well, there's a few mods that can contribute to the appearance. I use Theme Mixer to get the colors and textures I want.
Additionally, mods like Ultimate Eye Candy to get better lighting and Dynamic Resolution which can boost texture quality. I'd also say that using Workshop assets and being mindful of their appearance in game can be pretty helpful too!
So are you going to do tutorials on the "Intersection Marking Tool" Mod and the "Node Controller" Mod next?
Not sure Trainz! I've just started using both of those mods, so maybe down the road! Looking at doing a couple of building tutorials next!
@@Slay3K ok. BTW. What kind of building tutorials?
I have Move it 2.9. No matter how many times I follow this guide, I cannot get objects to rotate. Suggestions?
What are you doing when you try to rotate?
kannst du mir bitte sagen wie man ober- und unterirdische straßen zusammen kopieren kann? bzw wie kann man 2 verschiedene sachen nacheinander markieren?
I'm sorry! I'm only English speaking. Do you have a way to translate this?

wow i thought I knew all there is to move it - I was wrong!
So glad it was helpful! Thank you!
my mirroring doesn't work and I don't know why
I'm not sure what may be causing this issue. You could try to unsub and resub to the mod, maybe there's a mod conflict of some sort.
whats the key for lifting...
Page up to lift
Whats the mansion like building the start
Hey there! Not sure what you mean, are you asking what mansion I used?
Hey bro i asked about the modern looking mansion with a golf course at the intro is that a asset?
does it work on After Dark version
Yes.
i still have no idea what procedural objects is.. you toggle it to make things PO.. okay and why?
PO is a separate mod you can add to the game. It gives you very advanced controls over props, buildings, and some other assets. When you use it, you're converting that asset into an PO object and it basically makes a copy of the object. Move can interact with those objects to some degree.
PO is more advanced and definitely takes some time to get used to/understand but can be very helpful if you are doing heavy detailing.
PO basically turns buildings, decals, and props into Procedural Objects, which is a special kind of prop. You have MUCH more control over a PO than an ordinary prop even with MoveIt; you can control its orientation and position to a very fine degree, change its size, animate it (using the modules) and most of all, you can customize it (change it's shape, remove parts) using a simple built-in 3D editor. It also removes all functions of the buildings; one of my earliest uses of it was simply making buildings into props. I learned customization by turning square decals into different shapes for customized farm fields. Eventually I reached a point where I built a totally custom ore bridge crane using only POs. It's a POWERFUL mod, but it takes a lot of practice and getting used to.
any one know what LUT he's using?
It would be hard to say! I use several and sort of switch around. I look for LUTs that aren't overly blue or yellow tint, just all depends on the city build/theme I'm looking to do.
@@Slay3K i was using the Relight Vibrant mostly but i came across the Laviante LUT recently, and have been liking it so far.
I can’t get rotation to work on Mac
That's very strange. I'm not sure what the issue would be.
how do you lift things
Page up and page down after selecting the asset.
@@Slay3K it doesn't work im getting a divorce
@@yourfriendlyneighborhooddo7210 LOL - there may be something else you need. I'm trying to remember if it's prop + tree anarchy where in the settings you can "allow" assets to "submerge"
I have cities skyline on EPIC. Can I still use this mod?
There appears to be a way, but I'm not familiar with it. A friend of mine did a tutorial on this. You can try this: ua-cam.com/video/CbX_S-3vt1k/v-deo.html
@@Slay3K Thank you ^^
@@lindsayd6962 no problem!
That was good but too fast. I know I can rewatch it but a little deeper would be better. Thanks for this though!
Good tutorial but I can't imagine why I would ever need this mod. Most of this stuff is do-able in the vanilla game.
