BOARDING OUR NILE RIVER CRUISE SHIP (3 nights Aswan to Luxor)

- Good morning from Egypt! Today we board our Nile River cruise ship that we will be spending the next three nights on as we sail from Aswan up to Luxor! We started our morning off with the most amazing views from the balcony of our hotel room at the Movenpick hotel on Elephantine Island, right in the middle of the Nile River. We could see the city of Aswan on the east bank, and the start of the Sahara Desert on the west! Our first adventure of the day was the Philae Temple, located on yet another island in the middle of the Nile. Amazingly enough, this temple was completely relocated after it found itself partway underwater after construction of the nearby dam. On our way to board our cruise ship, we stopped by an ancient granite quarry where there is an unfinished obelisk still sitting amongst the rock hillside. After boarding and checking into our room aboard the Nile Style, we took a small speedboat out on the Nile and cruised between the many small islands in the river! We take a quick swim in the Nile from the beach and climb through the Sahara sands to the most epic viewpoint of Aswan. We finished our day off with some amazing local food at Makani.

Swimming in the Nile!! I'm amazed at how clear the water was where you swam. My head would be exploding with all the ancient history you are learning at every single place you visit. You are enjoying an epic time in your lives together.....how awesome!!!
I have not missed a video since you guys set off. Thank you for sharing your travels with us. In a time when the world seems so dark, with all that is happening, the views of your travels are reminders of the light and beauty here on Earth. Every video is full of beauty and adventure, they are like a 10-20 minute excursion/escape. God go with you as you continue on.

There is no way I would swim in that water, when I was there you could see people doing their laundry, bathing and animals everywhere. Your a brave man Daniel 😂😂. The cruse was so awesome have fun. The history for the country is amazing and the people we found were very nice. ❤️❤️

This is the Nile, it has strong currents (i.e. it's not a lake). I wouldn't worry too much about laundry, bathing or animals. The main concern is a parasite called schistosomiasis but it's now curable with a single pill.

Chelle its the Nile River not River Nile correct? Anyway glad you didn't run into any crocs in the Nile River. We seen some when we took a boat tour during a cruise stop in Egypt. It was amazing.
