The Luxor Temple has to be one of our favorite stops so far on this Egypt tour! Seeing it lit up at night was incredible and offered such a different experience than seeing these ancient temples during the day. We spent most of the day cruising down the Nile on our boat, sitting on the sun deck, enjoying the views, and eating food! We passed through the river locks in Esna where tons of vendors would tie off our boat and throw up products to try and sell. Pretty ambitious!

The towels are fantastic! Your guide and your waiters and service persons take it seriously and I love it! You two needed a little pampering and this river cruise albeit hectic also seemed very laid back. The history lessons and nighttime temple tour just blew my mind! Thank you so much, Dan and Chelle ❤
I knew the Nile flowed north but today I learned about the locks. Fascinating! I will never be able to go to Egypt so I really am enjoying this trip and all of the temples and pyramids. Stay awesome. Be well and safe.

Both of you wont believe, I literally freaked out at the video at 0:33 seconds - because that was our cruise - M/S Medea when we went to Egypt last December. I was like.. OMG.. Dan&Chelle got it on video.
I hope you are doing the hot air balloon over the Valley of the Kings.... watching the sun rise that way is something you never forget. then you get into the Valley and that is stunning. Enjoy it.

Luxor was my favorite site in Egypt....even more than the Pyramids. I wish you could see it during the daytime. You can still see the colors on the columns. Were you able to see the Obelisk? I believe you're going to the Valley of the Kings. I believe it's some distance across the Nile from Luxor. Perhaps that why you're leaving so early.
