Bravo! If mousetrap videos was a category at the academy awards, I would nominate this one for an Oscar. This had everything, from crystal clear instructions , high resolution format, fitting music, slo-mo effects and a very satisfying conclusion fully capturing the vermin's reaction. This should be the bar that all mouse trap videographers aspire to. One minor criticism with the design is that that type of plastic bottle with its ridges would be relatively easy for the mouse to chew a hole in to escape I'd think. But if it's somewhere where you could hear the noise or if you check it regularly it would be alright.

That mouse is going to be a movie director in his next life. He's a master at building suspense. In fact, he knew it was a trap, but he also knew you can't leave an audience disappointed. He sacrificed his life for love of his art. BTW...it was the mouse that built the trap too.
Clever trap design vs. clever, cautious mouse. Impressive how the mouse checks out the stability of the trap's construction, looking it over from side & top, careful to take gentle nibbles. But it wants the whole damn peanut prize, the trap becomes familiar rather than dangerous after multiple visits, and finally the mouse goes for it. Reminds me of the opening of the first Indiana Jones movie, Raiders of the Lost Ark.
Made this one out of an old Fiji water bottle and the other supplies. Super effective, got the mouse that was eating the seed I had sitting outside in only a few hours, and I was able to safely relocate it.
I love the ingenious way that you made this TRAP out of easy to source materials. I did see in one of the comments below, they mentioned that the rat cut through the bottle in 2-3 minutes! My suggestion is check the trap frequently and stomp on the rat before they get away!
Wear gloves when making anything to catch a mouse. He kept running away because your human scent was all over that, so he had to investigate to determine if you were there or not. The trap though is brilliant. One of those "why didn't I think or this" things. So simple yet effective. I'm gonna go make like 15 of these things. (We have some new squeaky tenants that won't move out)
This is better than every other mouse traps I’ve seen, because it doesn’t *KILL* the mouse, just closes it so you can get rid of it peacefully. Make some tiny holes too, so it can breathe.

I carry them 3km from my house to sewer then throw him, 2 3 days after, I have like 3 more rat in my house. The problem disappeared after I kill them all with sticky trap. Rats are intelligent. I'm learning that the hard way. Gabriela Soto if it was snap traps maybe you set them wrong. i did and didnt realize for awhile, had been basically giving mice free food from supposed bait for a week, felt dumb. Set correctly they will be so sensitive eben the slighest vibration they will snap

Für die Ratte kein Problem nach einiger Zeit da raus zu kommen. Die haben sehr scharfe Zähne. Sie hat einen Anfang bei der Schnittfläche, von der Flasche und frisst sich da einfach durch. Wenn man sie früh genug findet, die Flasche mit der Ratte einfach in ein Wasserfaß stecken. Dann ist der Spuk schnell vorbei.😊
