This has got to be the best mouse trap video I have ever seen very animated and comically entertaining alot of thought and effort went into producing this video! Kudos 100 percent.
There are hundreds of million-dollar productions out there on Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+, etc. But this 8 minutes of rat video was more engaging, entertaining and suspenseful than most of them.
That was pure genius! So simple and effective. I laughed at the little bits of animation and the music and sound effects were perfect. Thank you for making this video. I enjoyed it!
You don't need the extra peanuts in the trap. They just fill up the rat then he's not that interested in the larger prize. They can smell the just one peanut from the other side of the house. Or introduce the rat afterwards to Cuddles, the pet python.
Two things I would do. Don’t put peanut chips in the tray. Smear a little peanut butter in the middle of the tray and glue the half of a peanut to the side of the stick, instead of wedging it at the top. Then he can more easily reach it and try to pull it off the stick.
I love the idea. The trigger pressure is way too high. Mouse could have been caught much earlier. Maybe trim down the bottom of the wooden stick into a pencil shape. It needs to tumble over with the slightest touch. I'm gonna try it tonight. Thank you.
This looks like it will catch a mouse but the only problem I see with it is that the mouse can do chew through that material and escape. Mice can through chew through just about anything. It should be a much thicker & harder plastic to prevent this.
@@sergeyy-ber He did so many times , he didn't trust the box as you can see , in comparison to other animals they wouldn't suspect the box is dangerous or a trap also the video got cut so we don't know if he tried to escape after getting caught
Thanks very much for your inspirations! I'm recently having some mouse nightmares and have watched some of your other designs. This one looks simple enough for me to DIY!😁 Hope it works!
I have never seen such simple way of making a mouse trap at home. All the national and international videos on this issue that I have seen fall short in comparison.
I wonder: 1. If the trap happens to snap close while the rat is still outside - might it ever once try to get the peanut a second time? 2. How long would it take for the rat to get out after being trapped - hours or minutes...?
The mouse knew it was a trap, but couldn't resist. Let this be a lesson to you. What do YOU want real bad? Is it a trap? What's the worst that could happen? Is it worth the risk?
I wonder if it wouldn't make the trap spring a bit sooner to forego the extra pieces of peanut and instead put a bit of peanut butter on the stick on the end near the trigger peanut, close enough to the end that it can only be reached from inside. This would bring the rat's attention more immediately to the trigger peanut, and might just trigger the trap while the rat is eating the peanut butter.
After getting trapped the mouse is running inside the box and screaming - I knew it was a trap, I knew it, I knew, I am such a fool.. Aughh... If my friends find out they gonna mock me forever...
Good idea! I think it would work even better if the food was larger and therefore easier to bite onto. Maybe a piece of dried bacon or cheese that won't break apart.
The idea is good enough but not the material. If you are not quick enough to move the box, the mouse will very likely find its way through the plastic wall. I have had bins with 1 inc. lid and seen the holes a mouse can make to get down to the contents. Glass may be an option...otherwise you just have to be quick! 😊😊

Good basic idea.... but needs improvements. Bait needs to be lower with more sensitive triggering mechanism. Perhaps cutting the support stick in half, attaching the bait close to the cut and offsetting the stick ends so very little force causes the support stick to collapse.
No mice around my house but the RATS toat go after my chicken feed are WAAAAAY too big to fit into such a container and would probably chew their way out of such thin plastic before I got there to find them.
Just leave the peanut on the bottom when you set the stick so it doesn't pop off while flipping it back over. The mouse will pull the stick out pulling the peanut. This mouse was as timid as they get!

The mouse could chew through the container in no time. I was able to trap one in a plastic fish tank thinking I’d keep him in there till I killed it but right in front of my own eyes it actually jumped up and held on to the grated plastic top like he was doing pull-ups and chewed right through within seconds and got away from me.
