After GPS tracking him and filming him with secret night-vision cameras, by putting a camera ON Ralph himself, hopefully we can learn more about his top secret cat business, and what he gets up to at night or when he's alone. You can also put him out on a leash with a harness and a long leash that you hang on a clothesline with a cantilever hook. We have a huge backyard and that's what i do for Merri because the street is not safe here 👍and i really ought to get a Insta360 as a Merri cam!

A cat's purring is the most perfect soothing sound ever I wish I could listen to it forever while I'm at work.
cats purring doesnt always mean their happy.
If their hurt and in pain they purr to ease the pain.
It works on humans as well. if ur in pain and the cat sits on u were ur hurt and they purr the pain goes away after a while.
I fell down the stairs a couple of years ago and fractured my right elbow and tore the ligaments in both wrists. total agony. my cats sat on each wrists and purred away for hrs and the pain went away.
pain killers hospital gave me were useless as i couldnt get them out of the packet cause my wrists hurt to much to use them for anything. couldnt even turn the tap on to get a drink of water.
A freinds kitten fell from a balcony 3 stories up. she was purring away when i went to pick her up after wraping her up in my jumper to stop her moving to get her to a vet. she had broken both back legs and her hip but kept purring away even though she was in agony.
the vet said purring is normal for cats in pain as it helps ease the pain and heal the broken bones faster.
Their has been several cases of cats sitting on patients chest in hospital who were in comas and they woke up with the cats purring on them. Its also good for ppl who suffer from depression it lifts their mood. the purring help ease the depression. so cats have medical uses cause of their purring.
Ive suffred from derepssion most of my life but when i have cats around watching them have fun and playing and sitting on me purring it always gives me a boost and i get out of my slump. They work better as an anti depressant a lot more than anything the doctor tried that made me worse.
So my advice to anyone who suffres from depresion forget pills get a cat or 2. best to get 2 as kittens as they will bond better. 2 adults cats bought at diff times will see the other cat as an intruder in their tertitory and be hostile towards each other.. u can see that in this vid. the older cat sees ralph as an invador to her home. hence why the hissing and swatting.
Had that prob with my 2. 1 st 1 i got as a kitten when he was 9 weeks old. 2nd 1 was a recue cat h was 12 weeks old and had the 1st cat for 6 months and he hated having another cat in his home and was always hissing and swating him when he tried to get close for a snuggle.
I sorted it out by having a little chat with them. called them both over and they sat side by side listening to what i said. told them if u 2 dont start geting on 1 of u will be gone. they looked at each other then at me then back at each other and the older cat kissed the little 1 and they have been best of freinds ever since. didnt tell them which wil be gone but it would of been the younger 1 as he was stil a kitten so easier to rehome. but the older 1 thought well he is a kitten so ill be going if i dont behave.
Just proves cats r inteligent and understand what u tell them. wether they listen or not is a dif story as cats like to be independant and choose who they live with. To cats humans r their slaves to be trained on taking care of their needs when and where they want it lol.
If u dont bow to what they want they will leave and find someone else to train to take care of them.
Lots of mising cats get reported. their not actualy missing they just went and found a better slave lol.

You could probably improve their peace/friendship hostility with more cat beds/toys/blankets/cat litter boxes. Cats are territorial so more options means less fighting for spaces that smell like them

we have dozens of sitting and sleeping places to choose from. So I dont think more sleeping places cause less fights lol

I could give you some explanations of why they could still be which can also include their living enviroment and not enough space even though you may think, but itd be lengthy! If you like TV shows maybe check out "my cat from hell" with jackson galaxy (he's also on youtube), he touches on a few things that are easily digestible for everyone😊

We have three floors
first floor has around 8 cat places
upper floor when beds included also 8 or nine
and the basement has 1, but the cats only ever go to basement to use the "bathroom" or to leave when noones up

@@sleepless9957 a little nerdy but I love animals, and always found it odd we don't get a course or instructions for little beings we have to care for and everyones kind of winging it! And no problem 😊
Theres a lot of reasons and possibilities if I remember I'll come back tomorrow and jot some down
Also do you have 3 litter boxes or just one? If you can afford it, if you have 1, get 2 more. You have 2 cats,but sometimes cats fight even with 2 litter boxes and with 3 theres more than enough. And make sure they each have their own food and water bowls and don't share the same one.
You can also try toys and making sure you play with them, sometimes it takes the right type of playing and toys and effort but can help with their anxiety.
But definitely watch a bunch of the tv series and look him up on UA-cam too 😊! Stay safe x
