Nice video, Luke. I love traveling by rail, so thank you for sharing your experience. It looked like great service for a pretty reasonable price. As you mentioned, it takes longer than flying but is much less of a hassle. I was in Japan last week and traveled all over by train. It was wonderful. Hope you enjoyed your time in Penang.
Thanks Michael! Yeah very decent service for the price. Japan is somewhere I am yet to visit and traveling on some of the bullet trains is definitely on my to do list. Once again I appreciate the support Michael! All the best!
KL Station is attached to a massive, Mall, you could have wandered around in air conditioned comfort and had many more food choices. I'm flying from Johor to Penang next week and will take the train from Butterworth to KL before getting the coach back. New Subscriber. Next time around I highly recommend stopping off at Ipoh and Taiping, As for "forgot to press record" the story of me vlogging in a nutshell
Should’ve could’ve and would’ve… unfortunately… had no idea… but for next time I’ll keep that in mind. Yeah, I definitely need to see more of Malaysia… including the smaller places in between. I’m planning to get back to Malaysia in the next couple of years. Thanks, as your filming the same kind of thing, I’ll return the favour and check out your content sometime soon. Have a good flight to Penang and enjoy the trip 👍
In 4 yrs time u could travel east coast msia by high speed train that is now under construction.the train speed likely to be 330 km per hr.frm its central station in gombak k.l u can reach kota baru on the north east in 4 hrs.
Ripper again and given from my hotel in KL (lot 10) and the hassle of traffic airport check-in and prices reckon you got far better bang for your buck and avoided a sumo wrestler in the next seat on an aircraft :) Being pretty good on the tooth and saving Asian recipes I love Penang, May I ask what hotel you booked in Penang as due there in NOV .Also another request .What gear do you use in your vids . Especially te sound as it is always spot on even in winds ? Cheers bloke 11 out of 10 as always
Yeah I know lot10, I stayed around the side there once at (Chaos Hotel). Yeah no worries, stayed at the Mclane Boutique Hotel. Quiet… staff were friendly and the hotels in good walking distance to the main places. So for the audio I use a Rode Wireless Go II and I have the deadcat on there (perfect for wind). I use my iPhone to film and also a Sony ZV-E10… I don’t recommend the camera as it’s video stabilization is 👎… Cheers for the comment phil! Enjoy the trip!
Amazing I thought my $90USD/$130AUD Batik Air Business Class from KL to Langkawi was a good deal. Looked like an appealing way to travel especially considering how far out it is just to get to KLIA Airport!
The train connected to another train station in Thailand towards Hat Yai. From Penang Island, there's a ferry service to Langkawi & minivan to Hat Yai. Schedule & tickets are available online.
Yeah that’s decent! I flew batik in economy between KL and Penang about a year ago, it was slightly cheaper than Malaysia Airlines (economy). How was Langkawi? I’ve never been.
How far in advance did you buy you business class tickets ? Can you keep your big luggage at your seat or you are required to put it on the luggage racks ? Is there luggage limits ? Can you take in the train 2 check in luggage per person ? Thanks .
@@lilyleung2237 Hi there, I booked the tickets only 3 days in advance… I just had one luggage and placed into the overhead. As for your other questions I am not overly sure and would refer to the ticket terms and conditions. All the best.
Yeah? Is that for the economy / standard seat, or can business cabins go there as well? Probably no point for the business cabins really but just wondering.
Another awesome Luke Crisp travel video / hot of the press, you sure do get around., looking forward to your next video👍
Thanks Brian, I appreciate the support! 👍
