My goodness , Wheezy getting off the trailer! She's majestic!!
Fingers crossed for Miss Erlene! Erlene x VS Code Red baby will be stunning ❤
Great video and great info.
I'd love if you did a short "interview" with your Breeding Vet. He seems so chill but knowledgeable!
Would really like a Q&A video about horse breeding and what's your favorite part of breeding season.
Oh boy baby goats!! There’s nothing cuter than a new born baby goat. I’ve had a few new borns and they were the cutest things on earth. ♥️🐐😊
Can’t wait to see baby goats! 🐐 I really enjoy the breeding topics and love learning about it all.
An amazing experience to see how complex horse breeding can be, thanks for what you do!
I didn't realize how complex and time sensitive horse breeding was. I'm interested in learning about the associated costs: vet, purchased semen, loaner horses' wombs, etc.
She wrote a while back that for vet bills they spend 40k- 50k every year.
Love the term loaner horses wombs for the recips! Lol
It's the same for humans. Extremely time sensitive.
It helps when they can just give the mares multiple shots to force them back into heat if they are not able to do it quickly enough
The joys of farming, I miss those days of breeding animals. Enjoy watching them giving birth and their daily growth. Best days of my life watching new animals come into the world. Great show Katie 🙏🙏🥰🥰👊👍💪👌
I have so many breeding questions I'd love to see videos on! My brainstorm cloud is: Timing of cycles, the meds you use to induce and manage heat cycles, how you choose recip mares, selling/shipping/implanting embryos, and what all goes into owning a stallion
Hi Katie! Just a heads up I follow a page on FB about Fiona the hippo.... They posted about your new baby seven asking for prayers it was very sweet.
It’s so interesting to see the breeding process for your horses!
I love these longer, more in depth videos!! Weeze is just so beautiful!
Thank you so mutch Katie for sharing your life and being you❤
My Husband commited suïcide, after praying and praying in the churge with the higher priest, the demons of satan got his soul. Every time i get upset cry'ing or get panicing towards my emotional rollercoaster. I watch youre channel to help me pray, calm down and heal😢. Im also a hunter and a horse girl who grew up in the horse barn from my uncle. So this content let me feel safe and less alone for a bit.
Bless your precious soul with all the blessings of GOD. Amen❤
Good job loading Wheezy!!
Love watching your videos...please post more on UA-cam...Baby season a coming.. can't wait...😊
Thanks for video , great job !
Wheezy looks like she’s about to hit the racetrack! Such a pretty girl.
Another great video Katie!
Weezy that you are moving is stunning. Good luck with the semenation.
Thank you for video!😊
She’s going to be amazing under saddle can’t wait to see her show journey
We have summer house in the country side. It's 17km (a bit over 10 miles) from bigger road. It is so lovely road because all way there is horses and cows. Every spring there are small baby cows. Speed limit is 70km/h but I usually drive like 30 km/h that I can wave and see all of them.😂
Wheezy is magnificent, them legs just keep getting longer! Thanks for a day in the life vlog!
I hope you make a video on Baby 7. I hope he's going to make it. Such as little fighter he is.
Can you fertilize whenever your mare ovulates then freeze the embryo so that they can be shipped whenever the recep mare is ready.
I learn so much by watching you n I adore all the animals especially the babies 🥰 Good Luck on a great breeding season✌❤
the mini horses in the back ground :D :D :D
Love your videos and im very interestet in all the embryio thing. Not that Im doing it my self but its so interesting.
So I have a few coustions
1. Does it stand in the foals paper that its a embryo?
2. Does it effect the price of the foal?
3 Is it Hard to the mare your flushing the embryos out of?
Does it effect to broodmare like an abort of the embryo?
3. Does the recept mare needs to have several hormons to embrace the embryo?
And all these quistions are with love, No hate at all..! ❤
Just love to follow you and your animals..
LOVE it! stinky goat hubby!
Amazing!! I could watch this all day!
You must have the vet at your farm a lot. It’s so complicated. I am glad you know what you are doing. lol
I find all of this fascinating!
Really enjoyed thank you so much for sharing 😊
I love that I learn on every one of your videos❤❤❤❤
Just figured that since I am already here- I would throw in my name suggestion for Gingers little one!
Radley: Of English origin meaning ‘from the red meadow'. Although, his red meadow is actually his Red Mama, the stunning Red Mare lol. Plus, it just sounds super cute.😍
I had a question: When you are doing embryo transfers, do you have to make sure both donor and recipient mares blood types are either matching or compatible? I just wondered if that was a factor. Thank you so much for your videos.
No, they don’t share blood at all. Same with human surrogates
I assume you’re talking about Rh factor in humans. Mares can have similar blood antigen issues. Worst case scenario it can be life threatening to the foal.
So excited for an Erlene baby!
This all looks very expensive. Best of luck 🍀❤
Love your vlogs Katie! You make my day❤
Karen's face was hysterical
😂😂😂
She loads like a pro! How nice!
I would love your input and your opinion on something. I know Cool is an older broodmare and has had babies and still having one this year even though she's older. I have a mare turning 20 this year that I would live to breed as she's my heart horse, has helped me through my daddys passing in 2020 which was when I got her. I got her from a killpen before she was shipped. About a month into owning her, she developed what my vets think was cellitus in her left hind leg, we got that issue fixed and got her healthy again. My question is would you recommend breeding her with her history of cellitis? My vets would obviously do a checkup on her to make sure she'd be okay to carry a foal full term at her age. I would just like your opinion before I really dive into it. I hope you see this Katie and are able to help me a little bit with your opinion! Thank you in advance Katie!!!
I would like to add I'm not just breeding her to breed her, she has beautiful lineage, amazing parents and even grandparents in the AQHA. She is a registered Quarter Horse and I'd love to continue her lineage with a beautiful foal.
I've seen many "yellow" bucks. It's what they do during culling season. It is supposed to make the does (girls) more interested. I guess you want him to cover your does.
Loved this - get some rest❤
Busy busy busy!!
I love these videos ❤
And so the fun begins again. Tfs ❤😊
Will there be foal updates here? Great episode again.
❤ Great video!
Will VS Code Red come to your barn eventually and if not what’s the plan for him?
How exciting!
So happy I found your channel. It’s very interesting.
I love your videos!
That was so totally amazing! I have always loved horses…but now I have a totally different kind of love for them. So grateful you are such a great teacher as well. Is this Vet at the hospital that Seven is at? He is so good. So if you own the horse, do you still have to pay for the semen? I am trying to figure it all out. I am still confused of why VS Code Red is not at your farm.
17:45 Is it too late to throw it in there ? 😂 that made me laugh out loud 😂
Great video xx
Is there a reason why you don't have a ramp for your trailer? Considering the $ invested in your horses I'd think you wouldn't risk them slipping or hurting an ankle coming off the trailer.
i really hope Erlene takes this year.
lol you putting that halter on has me triggered 😂😂😂😂😂
Katie, I have a question about recip mares and genetics - I am just using hypotheticals so that my question hopefully makes sense. Can a recip mare carry for a genetically related parent (mare OR stallion)? IE Could Ginger carry a VS Code Red baby for another mare?
They can, Ethel is actually related to the baby she’s carrying for Beyoncé. She’s the half sister of the embryo’s grandmother
I have a question, I always see stories about how it's stressful for horses to move to different places and go through that stress etc, so I'm not hating the decisions because Wheezy needs to be trained to be the show queen she is, but when does it become too much to move horses around to new people, new things, with training on top of it and also wondering where their normal friends are plus at some point showing as well. Where is the line and how do you support your horse during these changes? Again not hating at all, I'm a horsey person but I don't have horses so I only know so much. Thank you
Is it Jordy, a gelding or a stud? Or a mare, and I would love to know more about it jordi
Jordy IS a show horse hes a gelding unfortunty hes injured😢
what about using your new breeding stocks?
Hi how long can you hold the semon over before it is not viable any longer? Thank You 😊
Busy busy busy🤣❤️
We need a broodmare update 😊
He is kinda cute!😊
How do you collect the embryo when you flush the mare?
Really interesting
On the breeding side, when they say she has multiple smaller follicles on one side is that like multiple eggs and do horses typically ovulate more than one follicle every cycle?
No they almost always ovulate one.
“Then we gotta go pick up some semen at the airport.” Hahaha 😅😂
Are you going to breed ginger again this year?
What a gorgeous billy! He will produce some nice babies.
Now that you own VS code red, do you have to pay anything to breed to him?
Just shipping
What is the purpose of transferring an embryo to a recipient of your own? Why not let the bio mom carry? Not making judgements, just curious what the purpose is. Thanks!
BTW, I love watching your vids! 😍
So you can get more foals from the same mare.
Poor Annie having to have her nose right next to me smelly flurry 😂😂
Does vs code red live at your farm?
I am more interested in Seven and his progress and the new foal
So I have done something I never wanted to do. Installed tic tok.
At age 78 mostly not my thing.
Love all the vet stuff, but I’m kinda a nerd for that! #rvtprobs
Does it stress them to go to the trainers?
I would want to breed Valais sheep.. I am addicted to them...😅
Can you explain the terms you’re using? I just enjoy watching how this works but terms like follicle, is where I loose you.
Is erlene also going to carry for herself
I like Annie's short mane.
When are you posting the Beautiful miracle of gingers baby
Looking forward to watching the 2024 Breeding Season and the outcome in 2025
I love wheezy
Is this the legitimate Katie YT acct?
Yes
The was fun
Flurry is a handsome billy, hopefully you should get some pretty colored babies. Billy's are very potent, not as bad as a skunk, but it is pretty nasty, very musky. Wheezy is getting so tall. She is beautiful. I love Annie. She is gorgeous.
I was curious what happened with Seven?
I will say I do highly agree with AI, live covers can be VERY dangerous
Hi Katie
Love how big she is!
i love you dont have to pay for vs code red seamen now
That smelly buck is so pretty.
Early days...
I want a goat baby!
You don't have to put an animal into a scary situations for them to trust you.
You just need to be kind and consistent.
