Hey bro when will you be in the states? Jump across the pond occasionally.
dont know if you guys gives a damn but if you guys are stoned like me during the covid times then you can watch pretty much all of the new series on InstaFlixxer. Been watching with my gf for the last couple of months xD
@Remy Elliot Definitely, I've been watching on instaflixxer for years myself :D
Well done mate! Would you make more articulation lessons?
"Friday Fretworks" and "Bend it Like Buck Tuesday's". Request sent.
Bend it like Buck has to become a new thing 😂
That sounds great and conveys real energy and emotion to the listeners. That’s why we love your music man, keep it going!
Over bend, under bend, Wombling free. Class, Mr Buck! 😀
philh27 Haha. I’m glad someone noticed 😆
5:17 even when he tries to make it sound bad it sounds good.
Great stuff, mate. Invaluable lesson and a great one to develop both fluidity and strength coupled with control. Harder to do with the adrenaline of a live situation. Speaking of which, have a brilliant tour, I'm sure it'll be the best yet, and I can't wait to hook up in Newcastle at the back end of the gigs. Given the success of the single and the wider release of the album being imminent, perhaps the name of the tour ought to be the 'We're going to need a bigger boat' tour!
Sounds really similar (and as good!) to those vocal articulations achieved by Derek Trucks using the slide (I guess the concept is exactly the same). Wonderful!
Should have called it “Will it bend?” 😇
Finally got a Cali 76 and it was not hype as you (and @thatpedalshow) promised long ago. Makes clean tones full, rich and still keeps dynamics (keeps and boosts the beautiful low end unlike others I’ve tried). It surely is head and shoulders above any other compressor out there (much better than my expectations and I went in expecting quite a bit). Thank you for being so open about your gear Chris! A compressor surely will help keep the sustain going for this bendy lick for anyone struggling with the note dying.
David D I upgraded from an SP Compressor to the Cali and was blown away. Sensational pedal. Hope you enjoy.
Have a great tour, Chris!
Greetings from Melbourne, Australia Chris - thanks so much for this - have wanted this lesson for so long ... out there in UA-cam land - you’re by far the most practical / musical exponent of this seriously pretty technique! 🙏🏻
Cheers Chris, very cool. :)
Awesome man! My Church is such a good song too. :-)
I really dig this strat (and the playing is sublime), but I have 2 questions that are digging into me.
1) is this body thinner than a Fender usually is, or does it just appear that way?
2) how is the ebony fretboard? The guitar doesn't sound overly bright, and it has great sustain. I'm wondering if the ebony is contributing to that.
Obviously everything contributes to the sound (I already predict the ubiquitous comments saying "its not one thing," or "they're all different"), but you've played enough different Strats, for a long enough period of time that I'm sure you're able to pick qualities from them that you know from experience as to what's contributing to it.
Great video, GREAT feel. I have to say, I've been watching these videos for only a month or so and you've quickly become my favorite guitar player on UA-cam. The way your right hand moves back and forth, playing in different positions and moving between your fingers and the pick demonstrates a dynamic approach that REALLY seems to blur the line between playing and singing. It's awesome.
Really looking forward to the tabs - have someone in mind I would love to play this for :)
Thanks so much, love your videos
You are an amazing guitar player... Thank you! Greetings from Mexico!

Awesome playing as always! Also that Gray Logo looks way cooler than the „Butterfly-Style“ Logo. More classy and grown up.

What gauge and make of string do you prefer on the Strat/ Tele/336 to allow this and a good Blues/Rock Tunes
Bend it like Buck....um😂
I bends a lot 'cause I love the sound and emotion on it.
Besides Gilmour, I love the way R.Blackmore do the Wasted Sunset solo🤘
3:22 "Wombling Free"..... and I laughed so hard I sprayed beer all over my monitor......
Best mutli step bender ever: David Gilmour. Change my mind.
