Exactly. Don’t get me wrong I do admire the shredders be that Jazz metal country. But rule 1 you can whistle all the greatest guitar solos the really memorable ones and Mr Buck is right now el supremo in terms of modern melodic and emotion fuelled musicality
This is such a great way to drag me out of the 'normal' scale boxes I've got stuck in. If the solo can be played all on one or two strings, then it forces you to think horizontally rather than vertically. Great video, and always a pleasure to see Chris play.
Being a rather simple amateurish, self taught player, I am very touched by Chris being such an accomplished player that does at a higher level of course but what I do instead of the typical boxes. Although impressive, they don't touch me as Chris playing does. I am glad I found him, as it motivates me even more to do it "my way". Thanks. (BTW What model is that Yamaha?)
Chris Bucks shines again with his teachings and playing ! THANK YOU FOR YOUR EFFORT !

Great take Julian! Chris is a superb player!
As good a teacher as he is a player, and makes it easier to understand and simpler to get into... now where's my guitar?... 👍♥️
Find some new gold every time when watch Chris's play...
The man can play!!

Glad you enjoyed it! We loved having Chris on the series, who would you like to see next? 😀
Inspiring and encouraging me to get to my guitar. Thanks!
That's what we love to hear! Keep at it Ted! 🤘
The man!

It's a gold top Yamaha Revstar. It's the P90 version though.
