    Double stroke rolls are easy to play fast when using a pad or an electric kit, but i can't get much power with it - any tips?

    • @sweetwater
      @sweetwater  3 роки тому +1

      Hey, Edward. Absolutely. Double strokes (and other rudiments) do get easier with practice time. I’ve found that the best way to practice double strokes is on a softer surface so that you have to work harder for the second stroke. Something like the RTOM Moongel pad works well:
      www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/WP7--rtom-moongel-workout-pad-7-inch
      Also, to get them more even, try inverting the double strokes. Instead of RRLLRRLL, try RLLRRLLRR. The cool thing about that is that it puts more focus on the second stroke of the double. Once you build up speed, you can tell that your double stroke roll will be more even.
      I hope this helps.
