This is a great video! So helpful! My one piece of advice when it comes to planning is to just GO FOR IT! We could all sit there for ages planning every single trip detail, especially if you're a bit nervous/first time, but you just have to be courageous and decisive! It'll be an amazing experience regardless if you "get every box checked".
This was such a great video! I never comment on anything but no other travel blogger I’ve watched so far talks about traveling from the literal beginning, so I really enjoyed this! Thanks so much, I can’t wait to watch more! And the editing really was just as awesome as the content! Keep it up!
Glad I stumbled onto this! The struggle getting international flights from LAS is a serious struggle but I'm going to look into flying into other airports instead. Also, thanks for the Google tips for flights. Definitely a tool I've been needing. Would love to see more travel related videos from you. You have such great advice! :)
I was so stoked following this video, needing help to plan an open ended Euro trip, but now I see you haven't posted more, bummer.. well nonetheless thanks for this one....
I am keen on this video because it is informative and very helpful to anyone that wishes to travel. I became addicted to travel before the days of internet. I went to work for a family in Finland when I was 18 years old. I was able to come home using an Inter rail pass. When I was 20 years old my round the world route was London, Los Angeles, Hawaii, Fiji, Sydney, Adelaide overland to Cairns, Darwin, Singapore and back to London. So now at age 40 plus I planned a round the world route with a series of one way flights. I used Sky Scanner to find an affordable route. I bought the three Air Asia flights first. Then the Copenhagen to Bangkok. I was upset with the price of flying from Hawaii to Los Angeles. Then it was too pricey to fly to London so we flew to Stockholm. We used Avios points to fly back to London from there. So our route was London, Copenhagen, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Osaka, Hawaii, Los Angeles, Stockholm and back to London.
I hope your next video is another travel video like this. I am planning on backpacking with my mom in europe (her dream place to visit) so these videos will come in handy!!!!
Best travel advice video I've seen yet, thank you!!!! Also would love to learn more , video of traveling frugally would be great hope to see one in the future.
since me and a good friend of me, made one trip already for one month. we're now planning to go for a longer time ,like actualy the real goal was/is. I was searching for alot of video's today and i rly liked this well. Explained verry verry well , editing is rly nicely done & alot of good sources regarding flights etc.(we personally choose hitch-hiking tho because our budget will be lower then 5euro a day. thanks alot and goodluck and loads of fun on ur future plans :D
this video is great! thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us. if you haven't already, could you do a video on how to be safe when out of the country. this is basically my only concern. thank you!
I think it is really enjoyable to get a train pass so you can travel around Europe. It you sleep on the train then you get save a nights accommodation. I suggest mix an expensive city like Paris or Rome with some cheaper places like Lake Bled or go just outside your rail pass to somewhere like the Ukraine. Budget airlines are big in Europe and if you book in advance you can save a of money. I did a route over to Berlin, a train took me to Hamburg, Then I flew to Majorca and then ended in Amsterdam before flying back home. I wished to visit an expensive island so I flew there via Porto and then came on a flight to London.
Oh, also, I'd love to see a video about you traveling with Blake (basically a video of someone very adventurous traveling with someone more reserved and uncomfortable, but still willing and interested to travel). My boyfriend is very outdoorsy and active, but I'm just getting into the lifestyle, and while I have a huge longing to travel, my anxiety over it often holds me back. A video with tips on how to travel in a way that meets both the needs of the adventurer and the more novice partner would be fantastic.
Yes i would to see a video on traveling frugally. Love to hear your thoughts on this. Really enjoyed this video and look forward to more of these types of videos from you.
This was fantastic Caty!! I was truly intrigued throughout very professional! I felt like I was watching one of those travel videos they send you from a travel agent but a more interesting and personal one I am going to share this video with all of my friends!!
I just found your channel... Omg I love it! Sooo helpful! 😃 Just curious if you have a packing tips and what backpack you used? Or are you going to do another video on that? Thank you so much!
+Gabrielle Larson Yay! Welcome! I'm so glad you enjoy! I'm hoping to do another video entirely on packing (packing light, best things to pack, etc etc) so keep your eyes peeled for that! ❤️
So excited for this series!!! This video makes me want to travel even more then I already do! Time to start saving my pennies! :) Also, great job with the editing! I can tell you put a lot of time and effort into it!
I want to travel for a long time now. And I hope to make video's of it to entertain people, and show how beautiful this planet is.😁 I'm going to start making video's in the first week of the summer vacation. In my own country, and in another country. Where I will go with my scouting group. I hope I can get far with this, and follow this dream.😃🌍
hello! im interested to know more about working from home. How do you like it? How does taxes work (not specifically your taxes lol) and how do you apply for it? I would love to work from home if i could make a living off of it?
+S.A.W Just like any other job, there are pros and cons. I enjoy the freedom of it, though it does get quite lonely sometimes (I literally interact with my coworkers online, so interacting with actual in-person humans is rare). For taxes, I'm a contractor, and so I get a 1099-MISC from my employer every tax season. Most employees get a tax refund every year, however, since I don't pay social security and medicare out of every paycheck like most employees, I end up usually paying a hefty sum during tax season for these things. I got my job through odesk.com (which I believe is now upwork.com). It used to be a great place to find freelance work online, though these days since you're competing with everyone all over the globe (and people willing to charge far, far less in Asia), you have to be willing to be paid next to nothing, and work your way up the totem pole. I'd check out remoteok.io/ for other work-from-home opportunities, though I haven't personally used this site. They appear to be far better-paying, though far more professional than other sources.
+bthoreson13 Primarily Adobe Premiere Pro! With a bit of rending in After Effects for some pieces as well. The part at 0:04 with the papers slowly rotating and zooming in while the table stayed motionless was done in After Effects, as well as the animation with the globe blowing up with a heartbeat. :) Chances are, if it's a bit more "stylized", it's done in After Effects, everything else is Premiere Pro. Wow this was a long answer to a simple question haha.
That part of the world never really interested me much, I was always up for USA and Canada but then again, its always good to travel. Here in UK sucks ass, would love to be in the Canadian Rockies right now, the best place on the planet.

travel to Syria and Iraq, where you will meet the ISIS leaders and witness the execution's in real life rather than the videos on the internet.
