    Thanks for all you do! Ive been watching your comparison videos for quite some time just trying to learn all I can about which mower I should invest in as there are so many great options out there! This video really helps me understand the financing aspect to buying a mower as it always has been a little confusing. I dont mow a ton but really want to upgrade to a zero turn from my older lawn tractor I've had for about 10 years. I've been leaning toward the Bad Boy Elite but recently seeing the new Stihl line up among others, Im just not sure which way to go and the supply issues are not helping lol! Wish I lived closer (30277) bc I would definitely buy from you, a brother in Christ! Praying for God to use you in mighty ways on your mission trip and that His perfect will be done through you and your willingness to go! God bless you, your family and your business! Happy Resurrection Day my friend!

      We have alot of customers in your state. What I’ve had some do is recruit family and friends and get 3 or 4 mowers sold then we personally deliver. We’ve had that happen plenty of times. Thank you so much for the long distance support and prayers for sure 🔥🔥. I pray for you a season of radical Joy this year. Ty so much :). Ever since I said yes to this trip finally literally all “hell” has broke loose here. We are finally starting to see things smooth out and things come into place. It was almost too much for my wife and me. The worst resistance I’ve ever felt. We had church issues. Family issues. Friend issues, financial issues, even had some key employees walk out, right before I’m leaving, it’s been crazy.

    Do you guys offer a military/disabled vet discount? Your videos seem very transparent, and I need to mow! LOL... seriously though, if a cash buy, is there any discount and/or what is needed for Ag exemption?
    I again would like to say, I appreciate the transparency, and what seems to be honest feedback on your machines! I'm looking for a stand on, and some of your videos really are steering me towards BadBoy. Wanted a SCAG, but I am not making money mowing (right now), I just want quality. We have over 2 acres, but a lot is mowed with a tractor. Would love to make the "yard" portion look great without using my push mower! Lol

      Scag offers the biggest military discount. Hustler is good, grasshopper not bad, bad boy is a little as well.
      For ag exempt you just have to present your tax exempt card from the state.
      For cash, most dealers list that price upfront, then simply add the financing fees they vary per mower, brand, and promo you take

    Hi Kevin. If you have time for my question , thank you. I determined I'm going with the grasshopper mower either 125v or 226v. my question are the hydogear 4400's on the 226v a better option and worth the extra money than the Parker HTE's on the 125v ? I really liked the idea of having Intergraded components of the Parker HTE. I have 3-5 acres with hilly terrain.
    Do you have or can you make a video going in to a deeper comparison of the two types of transmissions. Advantages vs Disadvantages?
    Thanks in advance.

      The only thing that would be bad for us is we would be more expensive than the advertised prices, and other dealers around us on ads. Also on phone shoppers when the call around. That’s why car dealers have a universal language of doing all they can to not give the price because of the financing.

      I wanted to add the extended warranty as well to the price and make people sign a paper saying they were declining the extended warranty since it was so good, but that would make me instantly $300 to $500 more than a dealer 45 minutes away.

      No never buy anything from a box store that requires a mechanic and warranty. Drive to the cub cadet dealer doesn’t matter how far away and buy the same mower there. That is the place that will have to fix it if it breaks down or you will need a part from. If you didn’t buy it there you will have to go through tsc channels to get fixed and sometimes it’s months to get your mower back 🙈.

    I am struggling with this. I am in the market for a mower and have locked in on Gravely, Bad Boy and Hustler. I went to all three dealers and they say exactly what you say. However, the local Cub Cadet dealer quoted me the cash price land I then asked is there a finance promotion and he said Cub would do it for 0% for 48 months. I financed a lawn tractor 5 years ago with them doing the same thing.
    If the finance company is giving me 0% for 48 months (not u financing it but another company like Sheffield), and u are getting your money from them, I feel like I am getting penalized by paying 10% more for the mower, so I’m not getting it 0%, it’s costing me money.
    It would be less to take the cash price, add the 3% credit card fee and buy it right?
    I love your videos and you have given me all I need to know about mowers, there is none better. Please help me with this.

    • @kgmowers

      So hustler and gravely pay most of the fee for you. It’s actually 12.5% now extra. So bad boy it will be 12.5% for 0% through sheffield, with gravely and hustler only costing 7% buy down fee to get it t0 the 0% for 48 months. You can do yard card for 0% for 60 months with the same fees.
      Your credit card will not give you any better than 0% for 18 months, but they charge around 6% fee upfront if you use one of their credit card checks, or have them do it over the phone and deposit into your checking account (I used to do this a lot when I got in a bind through the winter I would get 50k to 100k to help pay bills then pay it off in May when we started getting busy

    Not sure how advertising 0% or any percent and then charging you more isn't completely illegal.

    • @kgmowers
      @kgmowers  Рік тому +1

      You’ve seen it for years. With cars, tractors, furniture. When I bought my truck is was $4k (cash discount) if I didn’t use financing. It cost 4k for the 0%. I took 4.90% and paid the 56k advertised price instead of paying over 60k. Furniture store offered my dad a living room set for 7 years no interest. We had it delivered to the house the same exact set just paying cash for it for $3k less than the 7 year store.
      No bank anywhere will ever give free interest. They always have to make money or they wouldn’t be in business. Most companies are good at hiding it in the price, or offered a (cash rebate). We are honest and straight forward and give everyone a choice. Same as 5 year warranties. They charge more for the unit to offer extended warranties. It’s better when we know and can choose. Some love warranties, to some it’s cheaper to save money upfront and take the risk. Nothing illegal about charging for interest. You have to “buy it down”. Ever bought a house? A good bank will offer you a chance to “buy down” your interest points. Right now at 7% you will pay 20 times for your house. If you pay say 15k extra to the bank upfront they will lower the interest to 5% and save people sometimes 100s of thousands in interest over the years for getting a little more upfront.

    • @mikezupancic2182
      @mikezupancic2182 Рік тому

      @Kevin Kelley you're confusing rebates in at least one of your examples. Your example of the car loan was 0 percent OR a discount. What didn't happen was you being offered a given sticker price and then being told you have to pay above sticker.

    • @kgmowers
      @kgmowers  Рік тому

      @@mikezupancic2182 yes sticker price was 56k. When I sit down to sign my papers the interest was 4.9%. I told them I saw they had 0% for 72 months advertised on tv for well qualified buyers. They said oh we didn’t know you wanted the 0%. Then I sit down to sign papers and noticed the truck was almost 61k. I asked and they said oh yeah that’s what the 0% costs. I went back to the 4.99% and rolled on. So yes I would have paid 4k extra to take 0%. It’s the same thing no matter how someone words it.

    • @mikezupancic2182
      @mikezupancic2182 Рік тому

      @kgmowers I watched the video again and your explanation of the auto dealer only shows you got ripped off by a scam. When dealers have promotions they're from the factory. You get one OR the other. In no case is the price higher than MSRP (c cold times excluded)
      In mower terms it would be like the factory saying MSRP is 12k. You can either get 1500 off or 0%. Now that's from the FACTORY. That wouldn't include any additional discounts I might get through negotiations. So I might take the 0% but negotiate a thousand dollar discount from you, which is separate from the factory offer. So instead of paying 12k and zero interest I'm paying 11k. (Or if I elect the rebate instead of 0% I'd pay 9500 as I'd get the 1500 off plus the 1k negotiated dealer discount. (And I could jet get a loan through a credit union.)
      Also, when I look at all the yard card or Sheffield materials on line it shows nothing about buying down the interest rate. The only fee they show is the $125 origination fee. Now I understand that prime rate is 5% right now, but there may be something as simple as the mower mfg paying the fee on there end, as many companies do to get their products sold.

    • @kgmowers
      @kgmowers  Рік тому

      @@mikezupancic2182 the msrp for these mowers is waaay higher. So definately none of them would ever be over msrp. That is true yard card is 29% and sheffield is 12.99% if you take their standard financing that they only charge the 125 or $150 charge for. Any other rate comes with a cost depending on the manufacturer. Some pay for part of the fee in the price of the mower, and some do not. Right now stihl is the only one paying for all of the fees and allowing the mower to be sold at the cash price with promo financing. However you word it you still pay for it to get any better than 29% or 12.99% at sheffield or yard card. The people that are too worried about we just ask them to run an invoice for the cash price up to their local banker and bring us back a check from them the ones that it bothers :).
