That is why this man Elvis was THE Greatest entertainer who ever lived. Been a fan since i was 8 years old, I am now 59. God blessed him with a strong, powerful, and beautiful voice. Miss you E!
It is reported that he had a range of over four octaves. He was able to sing both high and low notes with ease and power. His voice was truly unique and unforgettable. Elvis was a true pioneer in the world of rock and roll, and his incredible vocal range was a big part of that.
From France; You need to have 120 decibels at one meter to be a lyric tenor....With no amplification,Elvis voice is stunning and so powerful for a Rock or ballad singer. But not enought to be a Lyric Opera singer. he Could certainly be a light tenor . And I m a great fan of Elvis, but I m also a modest opera singer...I sing Elvis with a band in a tribute , Opera technics is completely different. God bless you all.
That was nice of Pavarotti to say, but there's not an opera singer in the world who could ever match Elvis... Elvis is better than any singer in the world
I was born about 3 miles away from where Elvis was born in East Tupelo Mississippi separated by quite a few years. I was also bor 3 days before Lisa Marie was born. Musical talent and just the sheer love of music runs in my family and also courses through my veins and a very large part of my love of music comes from hearing his music and growing up listening to people tell me stories when they Knew him before he got famous. Elvis has a varying reputation depending who you talked to but he was a very humble and down to earth person that never forgot where he came from and he was very generous to people that were having troubled lives because he understood what it was like to grow up poor. He was a class acr
he was basically a rock star with an opera singer's voice and had total mastery over every known musical genre of the time. his reputation and status are pretty well earned imo
Elvis had the power to break us down completely with one song and build us up with the next. The ability to make us believe he was singing to each us individually. I know of no other artist who could do this. The King - always!
The Aloha shows (both rehearsal and actual live satellite version) are mindblowing. Such power and passion, and I'm sure he chose a lot of the songs because he was going through his divorce. Also, he was representing America to the world, hence the eagle jumpsuit. I think the pressure must have been immense, but he pulled it off magnificently. Long live the King ❤
Did y'all catch the "Yeah baby!" once he finished? When Elvis says that, it's because he knew that he and the accompaniment delivered. Imagine being asked to perform at your highest level while wearing a 70 pound, studded, heavy fabric outfit during a humid and warm Hawaii evening? No AC.... and yet Elvis delivered as he always did - the absolute GOAT. What he physically went through to give his fans his absolute best is not appreciated enough.
In 1973 I was a five year old boy in Liverpool England and i remember being excited because Elvis was going to be ''live'' on television i saw it along with 1.5 billion other people and that was it 44 years later and I still watch an listen in awe ! God breathed on this man.
Such a beautiful man, beautiful voice and gone so soon and so missed. I don't know if you've noticed, but the later performances probably from about 1970-72 on, Elvis only opens his eyes for short periods. He had glaucoma which by itself is painful, but he had to contend with a spotlight shining on him while he performed. In addition he had alpha-1-antitrypsin deficiency, which can attack the lungs and liver; colon issues; an immune deficiency and lifelong insomnia. You can tell in the last concerts that he was having trouble with getting in enough air. He lived his last years in near constant pain. This is what got him hooked on medications. When you look at Elvis in his 20''s and 30's it's hard to imagine he wasn't well, he was so gorgeous.
@@gorse9030 I was enjoying it too. The thought just popped into my mind about how he gave his all right up to the end with all his problems. He performed his concerts regardless and gave his best.
Such a beautiful song sung by a beautiful man! Love, love, love him. About to turn 70 & have been a fan all my life….. thanks for your nice words about him. ❤️❤️
I love how his voice changed three times at the end, that is a STRONG VOICE,you can hate all day ,BUT THAT IS THE KING, saw him last time 12/29/76 Birmingham, Alabama 18 thousand fans were their, flash bulb city.
Elvis Presley was a national treasure. Not only was he very talented and had the greatest voice ever but he was gods gift to women no doubt.👍🙏🇺🇸👑🔥❤️🎤🎶🎸⚡️🎹
👍 Elvis released Reconsider Baby in 1961, he was 26 years old; it’s an old rhythm and blues song by the blues guitarist Lowell Fulson - not only is Elvis vocals amazing on this tune the whole arrangement he pulls together is incredible for his age at the time. Love your Elvis reactions 🙏
@@philipkoen5811 Yes, I recently found out that for the 2 years that Elvis was in the army 1958-60 he really worked hard on improving his vocals power and range; and there have been a few change points in his sound and pre army and post army was one of those times; and you can tell this where he went from Heartbreak Hotel and All shook up to Are You Lonesome Tonight and It’s Now or Never. There is a maturity and strength present. All that hard work clearly paid off and whilst Reconsider Baby was not of this nature, his vocals and arrangement on this old blues tune for one so young was really impressive.
Live Elvis has been a weakness of mine for as long as I can remember, or about 50 years. My parents listened to a lot of live Elvis. The kitchen crew in a restaurant where I worked for a while listened to a lot of live Elvis. I listen to a lot of live Elvis. I enjoy listening to live Elvis with you. Thanks!

Honestly, you hear all the time how great Elvis was, but, actually, he was the greatest Male singer that has ever or will ever walk this earth ! This man could hit notes no matter how high or low and do it with such passion, he was and always will be unbelievable ,! I think Elvis was a gift and I wish he was still here, we Will never see another Elvis !!
Elvis was amazing, this man had so much talent. So much presence. So many fellow artists were deeply jealous of Elvis. You get rock but you also get Opera.
Elvis himself told someone from his entourage as he left the stage from Aloha, “This is the best thing I ever did”! He left with a golden crown that someone from the audience made for him. You can see that crown at GraceLand ❤❤❤😊.

I agree! Love me some hip shaking’ Elvis; but, can listen to his velvety voice sing the slow ones for hours♥️ Elvis loved opera. . In early interviews, he stated he his record collection was opera and Mario Lanza.
Brit, You are an absolute doll, and so great at expressing things with body language, facial expressions and words combined with a lovely voice you share from time to time. This is a heart aching song that is a bit haunting. But you are spot on with the crescendo...in that regard it always reminds me of Ravel and Bolero...it grows in width and depth until the immediate, and punctual sad end.
