He is still the best selling single artist and he is still selling records 46 years after he went "home", he is still selling enough to get GOLD records after he is gone, I know someone might say that Michael Jackson is better selling, no he is not, MJ sold more if you combine it with Jackson five records, but not as a single artist.
This man had it all ,drop dead gorgeous looks, sense of humor chrasima, stage presence could dance ,famous actor ,and is in five top hall of fames,,and can sing gospel, country, rock and roll, pop, rythum and blues, ballads he was one of a kind
Yeah i know, sometimes it doesn't feel like he is even human. I mean look those early Ed Sullivan shows in 1956, even nervous as hell and no rehearsal, he knew exactly what to do to get the crowd going. It's like no wall's where to big for him to climb over. It's like THE LORD was thinking " now you had some rough times with depression and World War, let me create some joy for y'all " Then he made Elvis for us
Without a doubt I totally agree with you the man was phenomenal and multi-talented and all kinds of genres! They'll never be another like him ... Ever!

I was born in 1955 and I say that because my mother would swoon at the very mention of Elvis's name. If one of his songs came on the radio, we all knew to keep our mouths shut until he was finished. It was sometime in the late 60's when her dream came true when her and her sisters went to Las Vegas to see Elvis live.
Think about it like this: not only does he have swagger, but he is very much the creator of swagger. Everything he did with his music and his sex appeal actually started a movement. Much of what we take for granted we owe to Elvis.
Someone once said that God was just showing off when He made Elvis - all that charm, charisma, talent and drop-dead gorgeous good looks rolled into one man. 🤩
That man was something else. I saw him live twice in '72. I was only 10/11 but I had the hugest crush on Elvis. Once I got a little older I understood more about his charisma. For Pete's Sake the man made sitting in a chair look sexy.
He had not performed what he had wanted to for about ten years when he did this special. He says at some time during this “It’s been a long time, baby.” He was SO happy to be able to perform the way he wanted to and he put all he had into this special.
I LOVE your ELVIS reactions, I got to see him at Graceland when I was 11 years old. We were lucky and went through Memphis on vacation and he was home and outside where fans could see him from the gate.
Elvis didn't steal anything from the Black community he grew up with them and even went to a all black church and was in the choir. He is just a great human with amazing God given talent
Gosh love that you love elvis , hes top notch all day long and as you see sounds great live , and invented swagger you said darn what s perfect way to describe him , great reaction
