The cars were technologically above and beyond anything else on four wheels and above all beautiful to look at. The drivers were men being men unlike today where boys can only dream of being men. It boggles my mind to still see the old F1 guard listening to an F1 engine with no ear protection. I’ve been lucky enough to stand on Donington’s pit wall as these F1 cars have screamed past at full chat and rest assured it hurts your ears, as a magnificent sound as they are on your TV or from afar, up close it’s not much fun to most mortals.
This car is the FW14B. The FW14B has front suspension bulges on the body due to the addition of the active suspension system and also a longer nose. Those are the differences
They outlawed the active suspension cause they knew once Senna got in that car it was literally over for the competition. Had he raced this car or the 1994 car with this suspension he would could have very easily won every race.

It came from a sale of Williams cars that Bonhams did about 15 years ago, maybe longer, 1 buyer called up and said, ( I want to buy the whole Catalog), they patched him through to reception thinking he wanted to buy 1 catalog, he bought the whole collection, they cancelled the sale.
The new generation cars are getting more and more boring to drive. It lacks any soul, and unexciting. These classic ares sound much more aggressive! Bring back h-shifters and get rid of those boring paddle shifters
These cars should be rolled out at every grand prix just to remind everyone how fantastic f1 used to sound!

I am not sure , I have shot this car 3 times in my life as a photographer, but I know these cars were changed all the time.

A great car, I was lucky enough to see it win back in the day, so to be involved with it years later was a great thing.
