Smashed it out of the park with this one , Spent a day with Ayrton tyre testing mid week at Silverstone must have been early 90's, He will forever be the BOSS ❤️
This is my era, people used to rush in to my office on a Monday morning to discuss the race, I was obsessed, not now sadly. Had a little cry when you showed The Senna pic. Thanks!
"I can almost smell the stale sweat, actually I don't want to know what might be in there as well". Hahaha, Jodie, may I say that your passion for Mansell's courageous driving and for that era of F1, wins you another fan here. I was feeling the same emotion and nostalgia as you were looking round those cars, they were wonderful times. Thank you Nigel for all the fantastic & dramatic racing, thank you Ayrton, and of course thank you Murray. :)
Nigel was my hero growing up watching f1, and that williams is the iconic car for me! Theres just something special about that Era that doesn't exist now, not that that's a bad thing, we was lucky enough to witness it, but modern F1 doesn't have the feel of proper excitement you used to get when Senna and Mansell were battling it out. True heros of the sport!
Two beautiful looking cars which brings back a lot of happy memories as was a big fan of Nigel back in the late 80's/early 90s. A shame modern F1 cars don't look as good or sound as good as those from that era.
I was at Silverstone and part of the track invasion when Nigel bought that Red 5 Williams home, and picked up Ayrton on the in lap. One of the most memorable days of my life, still to this day. Incredible atmosphere. Amazing to see the car again. Wish I could buy it!!! .
was at club in 1991 for the GP.. what a race and moment to see in person.. major F1 historic moment. watching back once in a while brings back all the emotions...
Wow, just wow. 15 minutes in and my eyes were welling up. Such emotional motorsport history from the eighties and nineties. Why isn't Nigel 'Sir Nigel'? Interesting to know these were Nigels cars too. Thanks Jodie xx
Super video 📹, as ever Jodie..just a joy to watch and listen to.!. So glad I was at Silverstone in 90 and 91...an incredible atmosphere and great memories ❤. I've met Nigel at the Festival of Speed and he's a down to earth and easy person to talk to. Thanks for showing these fab cars!! Cheers, Steve
What an amazing machine that Ferrari of 89 was, i used to have a tape in the 90s with the sound of it... the V12 ferrari sound recorded in one F1 grand prix i am not sure if it was 89 or 90, but it was pretty much the same engine varient in terms of sound The car is so ridiculously beatifull, that stricking marlboro red in thast chassi design makes it stunning... one oi the most beatifull F1 cars ever made!
I don’t know how Nigel could part with the Ferrari. 2 iconic race cars. I’d hang them on my wall like an artwork. This is bang on my interest starting in to F1. Watching with my dad. Early and mid 80s was an epic time. The V10s sounded incredible.
Only 3 things stopping me from buying the Williams (I remember Nigel stopping to pick up Senna), not the smartest use of my money, I live in California currently (may return to the UK at some point) and I am sure my wife would not be happy with this in the living room. Thank you Jodie for producing awesome content, you can really tell your passion is genuine.
Great video. I saw that Ferrari race at Silverstone in ‘89. Was my first Grand Prix, my Uncle had taken me there for my birthday. Great memories. Will always remember the sound, tv doesn’t do it justice. They were deafening. I then saw Nigel and red 5 race in ‘92 and win the race. I was part of the track invasion when he won. I was stood on the track as Schumacher passed me in the yellow Benetton and waved at me, I could have reached out and touched him I was that close. Still cars were going round and racing. It just wouldn’t happen the same today. Just the best memories.
Seeing these two icons brings back memory's of sitting with my Dad watching them race and following Nigel Mansell through his F1 career. Will be interesting to follow them through the auction process. Cracking video as always Jodie.
Wow! Two of the best looking F1 cars of all time. How simple and clean that Ferrari looks. That is the one with the updated air intake above the driver, it didn't look like that when he won the first race in Brazil but in my opinion it looked much better following this update 👍 what can you say about the Red 5 Senna taxi! Iconic, legendary, memorable...battling with the Red/White McLaren cars. Great memories and as mentioned there, played out to the soundtrack of Murray Walker & James Hun
Oh my! Two cars from an era when i went to Grand Prix regularly with my Dad. And I remember clearly as Jonathan explained about everyone thinking the gearbox on the Ferrari wouldn't last and Nige went and won the race. Phenomenal! Thank you Jodie, this brought back so many wonderful memories.
@@KiddinaSweetShop and forgot to add, I think Ayrton stopped at Club Corner, right in front of where we used to watch the GP, and from where Nigel picked him up and gave him a lift! Oh, the memories are flooding back! Definitely my favourite episode of yours so far, this one was special. Keep them coming, thx Jodie! 🙂
Wow! Two great icons up for grabs at one time. . . and from the era when F1 drivers learned to drive in cars, not simulators. Both cars have such unique histories. You know, I think I will bid on these, except that the lyrics from "Fiddler on the Roof" ring oh too true in my life - "If I were a rich man Ya ba dibba dibba dibba dibba dibba dibba dum. . . " Another great video, and it sounds like some exciting/fun stuff coming up with your channel.
Fantastic Jody!! I had to pause your video to watch the full Nigel & Ayrton. Double Fantastic! I remember watching that with my dad - he reckoned they were probably still doing about 70odd whilst clinging on!!
it's nice to see such enthusiasm from someone like me who appreciates the history of these cars Nigel was always my hero and on my bucket list is to sit in a Nigel car, probably never happen, but I can dream.
This was such a great design era. Some engineers were still using drafting paper and blueprints, some were using computers, some were using napkins. The cars were still mechanical-looking, light, fast, and dangerous. the aero wasn't sorted out with CFD. The theories were hard to verify cause you cant see air.
Where do you even start trying to put a value on those? Two of the most iconic cars from the pinnacle of Formula One, and completely unrestored and unmolested. It will, as you say, be very interesting to see what they sell for! But as with the McLaren F1 episode, the numbers are just incidental. The main thing is that these pieces of history will live on and be appreciated by all racing fans for years to come. Thanks for another cracking episode Jodie!
Iconic is an Oft’ over used word these days but in this instance it’s wholly applicable and for me the Williams takes the lead simply for that historic moment of true sportsmanship. Thank you so much Jodie and thank you for creating the App, I’m really looking forward to it!
What a great video and what great memories of two iconic cars, the whole of the era was something so special. People hail Lewis, who is an amazing driver but then Nigel was my hero growing up, and was gutsy and did some amazing overtakes against the best of the best, Senna and Prost!
Wonderful to see these beauties. Nigel has been fortunate to keep these and I hope whoever gets them does getting them both back on track, maybe with their rightful driver behind the wheel. Thank you so much for sharing these with us.
What a fantastic episode as normal, you have some great friends, mine own Dacia's. Haha. Nigel was a true f1 great, his grit and determination was unparalleled at the time. I loved watching him, even when he famously pushed his car over the finish line! The app is an interesting one, looking forward to it.
First Zac and now this....you're knocking it out of the park so far you can no longer see the park with your vintage F1 content Jodie. Many thanks for the upload.
love F1, me and me best mate, actually went to support our Nige, at the 88 and 89 Silverstone GPs in our late teens, I may still have the Ferrari T-shirt somewhere, great memories, and great week ends camping, watching the Quali's, then the Sunday race, and who can forget Senna the hitchhiker, off to the shops, to buy some extra Euro Lottery tickets for Tuesday, would love either Car, Great video.
How amazing that the Ferrari is as it was when it last raced… Nigel Mansell is such a legend,, I hope he gets the best price for both…. Auction video would be amazing Jodie. App sounds fab by the way…
Lots of great memories! I think I was watching all of the grand prix you spoke about here. What a driver Nigel was and what some fabulous machinery he was lucky enough to drive. I'm sure he has his reasons for selling them but it couldn't have been an easy decision to make. I sold a Land Rover I once owned and was in bits 😀 Thank you for making the video and I look forward to the next one. A very lucky person is going to end up with amazing F1 history in their collection.
These are not just cars they are icons! I have been watching F1 since I was a kid in the late 1970s but this was my favorite era of F1. Senna, Prost, Mansell and Piquet now all racing gods! Thank you for letting us see these mechanical legends!
Iconic F1 Cars with such amazing history. That Senna-Mansell moment is sportsmanship at its finest. Fantastic job again Jodie and can’t wait to see the follow up video for these icons. 👏👏👏 #sempresenna
Brilliant content well done to all involved in the making of this video. On a personal note, I find this very nostalgic as I used to work for Goodyear in the mixing department which made the compound for these tyres for F1. Fantastic company to work for.
Those 2 cars are pure representation of F1 history, a car that had one of the most iconic seasons in history and the car that was part of iconic moment in F1... That auction better bring big bucks else I'm going nuts :))
Brilliant loved every second, il leon, red 5, our Nige, Ferrari, Williams, and paying homage to my idol Ayrton, a thoroughly engrossing 22 minutes, thank you Jodie ❤
Nigel, MY Idol when young. I was watching F1 from 85 or so and being in Spain wasn't easy to be a Nigel Mansell fan. Everyone was a McLaren fanboy for Prost or Senna but I KNEW Nigel was faster than them. His speed wasn't unmatched by those two. NIGEL was THE BEST. He is a LEGEND. I'd love to have media pass to shoot those lovely cars or anything else FOS brings in a couple weeks, this is THE event I need to join
Well Jodie you've smashed it again !!! Great great content. Lots of history. Really enjoying your passionate interviews and the cars. Keep up the good work 👍. Andy. PS looking forward to the new app 🙂
I was at Silverstone, had my little boy with me which lit a flame. He will have his partner and children in Hungary again this year for the race. F1 magic as the beat goes on. Nigel (and his wife) were British legends.
Great one I loved the 90's era Formula One cars they may not of been safe as they are now but the engine notes V8 V12 engines sounded great. Truly good times thank you for bringing some good memories back. Bet you buy one in the auction.

Thanks for the great content. Update from May 14th 2022 - The Williams was sold for €4,055,000, the Ferrari €3,605,000
I had a feeling the senna connection would bring a good price 👍🏻
And the weirdest is the Williams without a engine and the Ferrari with a engine
Incredible, the Williams hasn't got neither engine nor gearbox. It also has wrong nosecone and front wing that were not used in the 1991 British GP (it's the start of the season version nose).🤔
Does this William belongs to Vettel?

Your passion for racing and F1 is amazing to see and it really makes the videos exciting
😁 thanks Luke! Xx
Two beautiful looking cars which brings back a lot of happy memories as was a big fan of Nigel back in the late 80's/early 90s. A shame modern F1 cars don't look as good or sound as good as those from that era.
The golden era for sure! Stunning aren’t they xx
I wasn't expecting to find this so emotional...
Forgotten memories flooding back into my head there....
Thank you Jodie...xx
😊😊 that’s so nice to hear Mark xx
I was at Silverstone and part of the track invasion when Nigel bought that Red 5 Williams home, and picked up Ayrton on the in lap. One of the most memorable days of my life, still to this day. Incredible atmosphere. Amazing to see the car again. Wish I could buy it!!! .
I was there too- a fantastic day!
was at club in 1991 for the GP.. what a race and moment to see in person.. major F1 historic moment. watching back once in a while brings back all the emotions...
Now that was a very good video. Really enjoyable and great too see the cars close up in detail. Brilliant !
Glad you enjoyed it!
Wow, just wow. 15 minutes in and my eyes were welling up. Such emotional motorsport history from the eighties and nineties. Why isn't Nigel 'Sir Nigel'?
Interesting to know these were Nigels cars too. Thanks Jodie xx
Good point! Xx
He is indeed! Nigel will be coming onto the channel at some point soon. Thanks for the support xx
What an amazing machine that Ferrari of 89 was, i used to have a tape in the 90s with the sound of it... the V12 ferrari sound recorded in one F1 grand prix
i am not sure if it was 89 or 90, but it was pretty much the same engine varient in terms of sound
The car is so ridiculously beatifull, that stricking marlboro red in thast chassi design makes it stunning...
one oi the most beatifull F1 cars ever made!
Haha what an awesome loving room feature that would be!! Thanks 😊
This vlog brought me back to a magical moment in time. Thanks Jodie.
Aaah that’s lovely to hear, thanks Brendan xx
Seeing these two icons brings back memory's of sitting with my Dad watching them race and following Nigel Mansell through his F1 career. Will be interesting to follow them through the auction process. Cracking video as always Jodie.
Ahh lovely! Thanks xx
Incredible right? So glad you enjoyed the episode xx
This channel is so good, yes lots of people on UA-cam do this but not many tell the stories behind the car’s like you do..Brilliant ❤️❤️
Thanks a lot Jason!! 😘
Wow! Two great icons up for grabs at one time. . . and from the era when F1 drivers learned to drive in cars, not simulators. Both cars have such unique histories.
You know, I think I will bid on these, except that the lyrics from "Fiddler on the Roof" ring oh too true in my life -
"If I were a rich man
Ya ba dibba dibba dibba dibba dibba dibba dum. . . "
Another great video, and it sounds like some exciting/fun stuff coming up with your channel.
😂😂 thank you Edwin! Lots more to come. Agree - the golden era 🏆 xx
Fantastic Jody!! I had to pause your video to watch the full Nigel & Ayrton. Double Fantastic!
I remember watching that with my dad - he reckoned they were probably still doing about 70odd whilst clinging on!!
Aahhh fab! Special times xx
it's nice to see such enthusiasm from someone like me who appreciates the history of these cars Nigel was always my hero and on my bucket list is to sit in a Nigel car, probably never happen, but I can dream.
That would be rather special! Xx
This was such a great design era. Some engineers were still using drafting paper and blueprints, some were using computers, some were using napkins. The cars were still mechanical-looking, light, fast, and dangerous. the aero wasn't sorted out with CFD. The theories were hard to verify cause you cant see air.
Yet again another AMAZING Vid From The Kidd.. 👀
Can't wait to see what happens at auction and for the app!
Thanks again Jodie x 😊
Thank you Paul! Glad you’re excited 😉 xx
Loved this episode.....so many memories of that great era....again fab production
Me too! Thank you xx
Iconic is an Oft’ over used word these days but in this instance it’s wholly applicable and for me the Williams takes the lead simply for that historic moment of true sportsmanship.
Thank you so much Jodie and thank you for creating the App, I’m really looking forward to it!
That’s really good to hear!! Totally iconic 🙌🏼 xx
Love the video, two of my five favourite race cars of all time, thank you for sharing - how about the rofgo collection for next time?
Love these videos Jodie, keep up the good work! :)
Glad you like them!
What a great video and what great memories of two iconic cars, the whole of the era was something so special. People hail Lewis, who is an amazing driver but then Nigel was my hero growing up, and was gutsy and did some amazing overtakes against the best of the best, Senna and Prost!
Golden era for sure 👏🏼 total legends xx
Wonderful to see these beauties. Nigel has been fortunate to keep these and I hope whoever gets them does getting them both back on track, maybe with their rightful driver behind the wheel. Thank you so much for sharing these with us.
What a treat !! I am really looking forward to your review of the auction and Monaco too !! Who's a lucky lady !! Have Fun and Thank you !!
I know right!! Thanks Geoff xx
Another awesome episode Jodie, it really brought back memories of those epic races. Good luck with app and can't wait for your auction review.
That’s good to hear! Thanks Paul xx
What a fantastic episode as normal, you have some great friends, mine own Dacia's. Haha. Nigel was a true f1 great, his grit and determination was unparalleled at the time. I loved watching him, even when he famously pushed his car over the finish line! The app is an interesting one, looking forward to it.
Hey 👋
First Zac and now this....you're knocking it out of the park so far you can no longer see the park with your vintage F1 content Jodie. Many thanks for the upload.
Haha thank you so much John!! Xx
love F1, me and me best mate, actually went to support our Nige, at the 88 and 89 Silverstone GPs in our late teens, I may still have the Ferrari T-shirt somewhere, great memories, and great week ends camping, watching the Quali's, then the Sunday race, and who can forget Senna the hitchhiker, off to the shops, to buy some extra Euro Lottery tickets for Tuesday, would love either Car, Great video.
Oh that’s amazing 👏🏼 such exciting times xx
How amazing that the Ferrari is as it was when it last raced… Nigel Mansell is such a legend,, I hope he gets the best price for both…. Auction video would be amazing Jodie. App sounds fab by the way…
Incredible isn’t it 👏🏼 thanks Mark! Xx
Epic! Thanks, they certainly are xx
These are not just cars they are icons! I have been watching F1 since I was a kid in the late 1970s but this was my favorite era of F1. Senna, Prost, Mansell and Piquet now all racing gods! Thank you for letting us see these mechanical legends!
They certainly are! Glad you enjoyed the episode - incredible cars xx
Jodie you put a tear in my eye after watching yours and remembering my memories of this beautiful and amazing era of F1
Another great job capturing the ‘core’ of the racers. The cars. And the drivers. 👍
Thank you John 🙌🏼 wouldn’t be possible without those!!
Excellent content as always Jodie !!
Thanks Nick ❤️
Iconic F1 Cars with such amazing history. That Senna-Mansell moment is sportsmanship at its finest. Fantastic job again Jodie and can’t wait to see the follow up video for these icons. 👏👏👏 #sempresenna
Thanks Phil! Excited to welcome the man himself on for a chat soon xx
@@KiddinaSweetShop absolutely, will be great to hear from the Lion himself
Brilliant content well done to all involved in the making of this video. On a personal note, I find this very nostalgic as I used to work for Goodyear in the mixing department which made the compound for these tyres for F1. Fantastic company to work for.
Oh nice! Thanks for the support David xx
So glad you enjoyed it Andrew!
Awesome contact as always , blast from the past , great days 🙏🏻
Thank you Steve!
Thank you for a marvellous episode of some of the most exciting F1 cars as we remember them and the drivers back then :-)
Thanks Hans! Special era to look back on xx
Mansell, Hunt , Murray Walker.V12 .. F1 magic. Its never been the same since. Saw 3 races that season with Red 5 in 1991. Lion !
2 iconic F1 cars excellent job again speechless. Both cars are iconic wow
Keep up the excellent content 👍👍🇦🇺
Thanks Paul! Incredible cars xx
Great episode! Loved it!! 👍🏼👍🏼
Well Jodie you've smashed it again !!! Great great content. Lots of history. Really enjoying your passionate interviews and the cars. Keep up the good work 👍. Andy. PS looking forward to the new app 🙂
Hey 👋
Fantastic!! thanks so much for this look forward to hearing how much they go for. Iconic!
Glad you enjoyed and me too!! Xx
I was at Silverstone, had my little boy with me which lit a flame. He will have his partner and children in Hungary again this year for the race. F1 magic as the beat goes on. Nigel (and his wife) were British legends.
14:00 - I was there for qualifying at Silverstone in 1991. Senna was running a small rear wing and fish-tailed through Becketts!
I never knew about that pic of Senna getting a lift!! Epic! Looking forward to the App.
2 absolutely stunning cars
1980s and 1990s produced some of the most stunning cars of all time
👏🏼 spot on xx
@@KiddinaSweetShop your content is fantastic Jodie I love to see a beautiful woman talking about beautiful cars
80s & 90s were phenomenal era's of F1.... the cars are so clean looking and so much more beautiful than recent F1 cars. Great work J-Kidd 😎
So true 🤩 thanks Carlos xx
What a joy Jodie😍 My reaction would have been the same as yours, seeing these incredible cars. Another awesome upload 👏❤️
Goosebumps right?! Thanks xx
Definitely my favourite era of F1 ..both cars so iconic..wonderful as ever Jodie ..Thank You ..
Mine too! Thanks Sean xx
Great one I loved the 90's era Formula One cars they may not of been safe as they are now but the engine notes V8 V12 engines sounded great. Truly good times thank you for bringing some good memories back. Bet you buy one in the auction.
Me too. Ha! If only xx
Thanks again Jodie. Not an era I was engaged in but you made it fun and interesting, I learned some things.
Though your styles are very different, you and Jay Leno both have the gift of bringing interest to virtually any subject. Jay has his down to earth next door neighbor feel, you bring your bubbly, infectious energy, both of you carry a passion for your subject.
Enjoyable as always.
Thanks Dennis! Hope to welcome Jay to the channel at some point soon
Nice work with the big jacket ! Happy belated Mother’s Day! Apologies if I misread that!
Another brilliant video Jodie !!!
Thank you Lee! Xx
