OMG I have such a bad crush on Murtagh I read the Fork the Witch and the Worm and that definitely had me thinking what he'd gotten up to, and who knew this whole time CP had a plot in mind! I'm so happy wow can't wait!
I cant wait to reread the whole series again ♥ first read Eragon when I was 15 and it made me fall in love with fantasy, read it a few times since then. Ill be turning 30 this year, so I will definitely be getting the Murtagh book as a gift for myself :D
Dude hearing you talk about the Inheritance Cycle as being an important book of your childhood makes me feel older than dirt. For me reading Dragon Song by Anne McCaffrey in high school English class is what set me down the path of Fantasy Novels. I didn't get Eragon until the year after I graduated College.
For whatever reason I never continued the series as a kid after liking book 1, but it’s so cool for you as a big fan to be able to continue it after so many years!
I'm so excited for this book. He's my favorite. I love the series. I started reading the series around 2009-10 because at that time my dad finally got me into reading books. I got started with Percy Jackson in 9th grade at the time then decided to read the Inheritance cycle and fell in love it. English isn't my native language so I read the translation but when this book comes out I hope we get it here.
Well there's my hit of middle school nostalgia, haha. I probably won't get this since I only read the first two, but I'll look forward to seeing what you think and hope it's a great time!
Hello, there! New subscriber here. I am also a big fan of Inheritance Cycle, as it was essential to develop my reading taste in my teenage years. So, I will read Murtagh, of course! You should read the The Fork, The Witch and the Worm, btw. 😁
So I’ve written Christpher a few times and has asked a few questions about Angela and he didn’t really answer any of them but he did say that he was working on a fifth book for the cycle so now I’m thinking Angela is the witch
My first introduction to Alagaesia was the travesty of a movie Eragon. Though at the time i watched it I loved it. Thought the movie was grate. Got to the end and had seen that it was based on a novel I had to go and get the book and read it. That's when I found out just how bad the movie was. Still I continued on with the books. I enjoyed them all the last two I did have to wait for their release. When I reached the end of Brisinger and I could tell the story was not finished I was both ecstatic and sad. I was so happy that there was going to be at least one more book but sad that I was going to have to wait for it to get released. At the end of Inheritance I was a little sad. The story was finally over and things had been all tidied up. Now with the announcement of Murtagh I am looking forward to getting back into Alagaesia. I had always wanted more of what was going on with Murtagh. After how things were left with Murtagh at the end of Inheritance I was even more interested in learning what was going on. Eragon and Murtagh were fast friends and though there was some bad blood between them there was also that early bond that I think made it possible for Eragon to direct things at Galbatorix and spare Murtagh. That more than anything made it so that I wanted to know more about Murtagh's past and future.
I think what gets me most excited for this book is the potential for character arcs and development. Murtagh, like you, is my favourite character from the series because he was the most complex. So, hopefully there are some interesting ways he reads in this book. Unfortunately, he was never a POV character, which I felt was a mistake because we never had the chance to explore Thorn's personality. This is a good place to do so, where he is the dragon of the book. Can't wait for this release
I cannot wait to hear Thorns thoughts. It will be nice to finally see the thoughts of another Dragon. You are right Murtagh was much more complex than Eragon.
I hope it is good. I agree with you that the fourth book was a little lackluster. I was hoping for an epic dragon battle in the sky between Eragon and Galbatorix. The throne room confrontation was too much like return of the jedi for my taste.
I’m not sure. It could be the mystery of the character. We never really get anything from him in the series besides what Sapphira glimpses or what Murtagh shares. I also liked the symbolism of Morzan and his evil read Dragon and how Murtagh and Thorn are stuck in that shadow.
I remember nothing from the series. I loved it when I read it and I'm intrigued. Will say I found to sleep in a sea of stars to be a snores fest. I stopped reading 500 pages in.
@@TreeBeardBookReviews I may give it another try idk. Maybe I was in the wrong head space to read it. It was an explainy book. Told me everything a character was feeling rather than just showing me. I dont remember. Maybe the inheritance cycle is the same and I'd hate it.
I also love Eragon so fun to read when I was in 5th grade! So many memories and nostalgia!

That’s great Tamara. Glad to see another Eragon fan.
Same! 31 now.. read the first book when I was around the same age. So cool! One of the best series ever

And hearing this about a year after I first started reading this series, it’s got me excited, I started rereading the series in preparation for this.

Yeah massive nostalgia vibes with this one.

Your excitement is very contagious. I just ordered the box set to read to the kiddos this summer leading up to the release of book 5.
Your kids will love this series Paul!
I’m so excited!!! I wonder if he’ll touch bases with Eragon and retrieve some Eldunari to obtain some insight.
So I’ve written Christpher a few times and has asked a few questions about Angela and he didn’t really answer any of them but he did say that he was working on a fifth book for the cycle so now I’m thinking Angela is the witch
Very pumped about this, and about two of the best characters!

Glad the inheritance cycle continues like to say to you all Sé ono tauthr du evarínya
I’m about 85% through the audiobook of Eragon at present and am liking it. Nice to hear the series will be continuing

He actually has a PoV chapter in The Fork, The Witch, and the Worm.
My copies of Eragon are so beat up but I love them!
Did you have your tattoos when you met Christopher?
Yeah I got the Sapphira tattoo before I met him. The thorn one I got later
Definitely will be reading this book I read the inheritance cycle when I was a teenager
I didn’t expect this news. I don’t really pay to much attention to Twitter. I didn’t really know about the hints made by Paolini on there.
I’ll be curious to see what this is like. I loved the inheritance cycle too.
As long as it’s better than book 4 lol. I think it might be, the stakes are a lot lower which should be fun.
YOOOOOOOOOO this is crazy. I literally remember nothing from the series but this is wild.
Hahaha! I love this comment. I’m excited for it. Been a minute since I’ve read this series
I’m too crazy for
This
Book.😎❤️🔥
Fun fact christ has stated that murtagh is actually gonna be a staging book laying down the ground work for the true book 5 :)
I hope it is good. I agree with you that the fourth book was a little lackluster. I was hoping for an epic dragon battle in the sky between Eragon and Galbatorix. The throne room confrontation was too much like return of the jedi for my taste.
I WILL BE READING Murtagh, but I'm more excited about the illustrated edition 😅
The art looks awesome!
I'm curious why thorn?

I still need to read To Sleep in a Sea of Stars. I will say it’s not a priority. I’ll probably read Murtagh before I get to that one.
@@TreeBeardBookReviews I may give it another try idk. Maybe I was in the wrong head space to read it. It was an explainy book. Told me everything a character was feeling rather than just showing me. I dont remember. Maybe the inheritance cycle is the same and I'd hate it.
I did notice when I reread inheritance as an adult Paolini’s constant reliance on Similes to describe everything. That did get taxing after awhile.
You are kindda crazy
I swear I just re read the books after randomly seeing them on audible and one week after I finished this was announced. Absolutely insane.
