Thank you soooo much for the recap! It has been so long since I last even thought about Murtagh and Thorn, Eragon and Saphira, Alagaësia, etc.! I didn't even know the book was coming out! I immediately bought it, but have been holding off reading it until I have time to recap and commit! You've made that so much easier!
I’m so glad it was helpful! I wish you happy reading on your Murtagh journey.
This is an excellent recap. I just started murtagh the book and realized it's been so since I've been in this world, with this character. He's one of my favorite characters of all time so thank you for this video!
Thank you! I think it can be easy to forget some of his characterization since he’s not the main character in the first four.
Recently found this channel as I make my way through my first reread in probably about a decade now. Not only have I loved going through these books again, but having a channel that loves them as much as I do to watch really brings the feeling home. I’m super excited for the new book, and very grateful for you taking time to break things down! 🎉🎉
Your comment is so kind, thank you. I’m always happy to find other people who like the same books as me too.
Thanks for the recap! It's been years since I read the series, but I'll be starting the new book today!
So glad it was helpful! Enjoy the new book!
Okay I will say in Murtagh’s defense, that one wasn’t just a bandit, he was an active slaver!
Oh yeah, he was definitely guilty. It was a good moral challenge for both of them.
That's where I felt Eragon was weakest and too Marty stu on morals. Made me wonder what he'd do if both Ra'zac were handed to him without a fight.
He has the beginnings of being a weak leader. I'm only near the end of book 1, and only read up to book 2. I don't recall much. Haven't read the others yet.
I just stumbled upon your channel, I appreciate the recap. I haven’t read these books since I finished the 4th book the week it came out. Very excited to start Murtagh
I’m so glad it was helpful! Happy reading!
Thank you so much! This is the recap I needed now that I just started with Murtagh. I would like to add that your storytelling is great. You have a nice voice, good pace and the editing is great. Looking forward to your other content.
Thank you so much! I hope you enjoy your Murtagh reading!
Thank you so much, exactly what I needed before the book!
Awesome! I hope you enjoy your Murtagh read!
murtagh was an amazing story! cant wait for the next!
I haven't read those books in years but maybe I'll read Murtagh. Thanks for this lovely summary.
All I know is I need Elizabeth Debicki to play Bachel if Disney ever adapts this book as a tv mini series. Great video!!
Ooh, she would be a great choice!
Thank you for the recap! I'll read Eragon again (such a good book!) and then read Murtagh. So excited!
I’m so glad it was helpful!
This is my favorite book series to this day that k 6ou so much for this video
I’m glad it was helpful! Happy reading!
This was really thorough
I hope it was helpful before reading the next book!
I am so curious about the serie, my wife owns the first two books but she didn't like it too much. Just ordered the rest of the books and the new one, you have an awesome channel so i just had to subscribe 😃. Can i give you a compliment??? You have such beautiful hair
Thank you. Definitely give Eragon a try, you might get pulled into the rest.
that’s what I needed hahahaaaaa
Yay I’m glad!
They were in that valley close to the Beor Mountains where that incident happens
Thank you. I couldn’t remember how far they had gotten by then.
@TiffanyRussell Also great video. Murtagh is not my favorite World of Eragon character but I know a lot of fans love him.
@@BahamutZero09 he’s probably not my favorite either, although it’s possible that could change, depending on how the next book goes
Im planning on requesting murtagh soon i have read the series but it's been so long since I read them thanks
I hope you have a good reading experience with it!
Thank you so much! Good job on this recap❤❤❤
Thank you! I hope you found it helpful before reading the next book.
We need a new post-Murtagh look at his past
Thanks youuu
Thank you for watching!
I gotta say i just read the fifth book without reading the other four, and i just feel like I had managed to gather all the info you said just from the fifth book, but what do I know.
If you are saying Murtagh can be read as a standalone without the fore knowledge from the first books, I could only say that’s a good thing.
But now I have to ask, does reading it make you want to read the first four?
Honestly it really does! I had really enjoyed the fifth one, so I’ll be reading the first four this summer.
@@user-bj5dg5dl9v sounds like you’re going to have a good, dragony summer!
@@TiffanyRussell I sure will 😁
I didn't like how obvious it was who the badguys were and what they were planning to do with Murtaugh.
He's not that foolish, it goes against his character.
Eragon was the wide eyed farmboy, not Murtaugh, not even in the first book.
I loved the ending though, just felt like the potential for homerun was missed because the editors didn't point it out to Paolini. Shave down some plot point foreshadowing so that Murtaugh's lack of foresight doesn't make him look naive and the villains plot so forced.
I think you are right, although Murtagh expects everyone to be his enemy, so it might be hard to pick out specific ones.
I would say that your characterization of Murtagh is on point. I found that Murtagh was a more complicated and intriguing character. Aragon had extreme opinions, he was self-righteous, obnoxious, and very narrow minded. Those were bad traits to have as a dragon rider, and no, I have not seen your Analysis of Safira would have chosen Aragon, but Erin was sort of kinda the darling of a series. And I think CP needed to make a villain, not villain of Murtagh. I have read the book, and I willnot say anything here about my opinions of the new book, but all I can say, is, I was not expecting that and I am thoroughly thoroughly disappointed.
You‘ve read Murtagh already! I just got mine late Tuesday so I have a ways to go.
I’m sorry to hear you’re disappointed. That’s a sad feeling to have at the end of a book.
At least you remembered the name of the sword in this video.
I wrote it down this time!😂
