Despite this, they helped a clutch of wild turtles hatch and released them back into the wild responsibly. "I assume, as you're pretty tired of watching snakes hatch on this channel..." WOW, the first time Emily has ever been wrong! But yes, turtle hatching!! When I was 12 I got my first 3 pond sliders, I was super excited when one of them started showing egg laying behaviour. I gave her a place to dig and she did lay 2 eggs, but apparently it's very rare to get them to hatch. I don't know if it's possible they were not even fertilised? I had 2 females and one male. I am now 32 and had to give up turtles and tortoises for my doggo persons. This is so cool anyhow!
Love this video but just gotta say, I could never be tired of snake hatching videos. I get hyped the whole year for them. Edit: I love reading the comments and seeing the flood of people saying how much they love seeing snakes hatching. Glad Im not alone.
I found a turtle in my yard that was looking to lay eggs. My moms dog was pestering it so i had to move it out of the yard and back to the creek area. It was digging and the correct time of the yr for laying. We have lots of wild animals near our house because of the creek. Snakes, turtles, geckos, frogs, rabbits, mice, shrews, raccoons, Opossum, and even skunks. Many bird species, Owl, hawk, red birds. I have also seen Vultures and wild turkey but that was across town. Its crazy how many animal live in such a little area. We are on the edge of town and in Texas.
We have lot’s of painted turtles around here and I recognized them when you were holding the first one. Their little feet sticking out was so different and so cute!!

"I assume, as you're pretty tired of watching snakes hatch on this channel..."
WOW, the first time Emily has ever been wrong!
Huh
You had to give the turtles up "for your doggo persons"? What does that mean?
You had to give up your turtles for a dog person??
