Nice gun. I don't care for matte black parts at all. Give me nice polished guns anytime. It's funny to me that a cheaper to make finish has become fashionable. Works out great for the makers
I’ve held and tried a dt11 and it felt a little too fat for my liking but it’s a great gun for people who don’t mind feeling like you’re loading a artillery gun when you drop a shell in.
I'm going to a shop tomorrow that has a Dt11 EELL in stock (just looking) and a 694, unfortunately won't be able to shoot them. My dilemma is the 694 is $7000 aprrox here in Australia and a standard dt11 around $15k. Which is close to krieghoff etc in price, yes I can afford (was saving for a new car but keeping the old one for now) it but is it worth it?
You've reviewed almost every DT11 by now, the regular, DT 11 BLACK, ACS. Great insights I must say. Waiting for you to review the DT11 XTRAP as well while comparing it to the DT11 ACS. Especially how the two compare in weight and balancing. Also, are the rib heights same for the 692 XTRAP and DT11 XTRAP? Asking because Beretta site didn't offer that information. Thank you in advance.
Lloyd, you must have shot your DT11 XTRAP & you've reviewed the Browning B725 pro-trap. Can you please advise (1) which of the two guns is heavier (2) which one has a higher rib? I'm asking as I'm a competitive Trap & Double Trap Shooter (both in ISSF format) and prefer shooting a high rib for both formats. Trying to find the optimum rib height & also felt recoil by drawing on your experience with these two guns. Once again, thank you.
Does Beretta sell a 12 gauge Sporting DT11 black w/Bfast, 32 inch barrels, w/adjustable WOOD stock. I’m not talking about the Pro. I want a adjustable wood stock. Sorry but to me the Pro is cold looking, looks like a prosthetic leg hanging off the back, Thanks Lloyd for your great reviews.

@@lloydyp thanks just seems there's tons of entry level gun's in general but not for women off the shelf. All start £1600+ or alterations and fit a normal gun.

Would like to see a review on dt11 eell and how it compares to all the others (balance and feel) and if the higher price is purely because of the upgraded wood and engraving
When you say K-80 do you mean the Super Sport or the Parcours? The top of the heap for clay guns is actually Perazzi MX / HT, Krieghoff SS / Parcours, and as for the DT11 there are an almost bewildering array of options in just the one model. All have their strengths and weaknesses and stacking them all up in a battle royale would be one hell of a project.

Oh now that's a good question. They are both very agile guns but the K gun feels quite slim in the hand by comparison to the DT. The K gun has a much slimmer rib and just feels more like a game gun. The DT wins IMO by being supplied with all the weights you need to make the gun balance how you want, for and aft, but it is a lot chunkier in feel and execution than the Krieghoff.
Oh yes, A. Because it does actually get hot here from time to time, 25 Celsius and above, and B. If you shoot a flush or on a squad event where the whole squad shoots quickly, yeah, guns get hot.
I shoot a trap gun for sporting as well. I love the extra weight and high rib.

Buy the Kreighoff. A Kreighoff will appreciate in value over time.

I actually had an XTrap a while back but it was sold before I got a chance to do the review.

@@Aseem.Kumar.Shrivastav DT11 is both heavier and has the higher rib. Also the DT has a very substantial stock, eats recoil no problem.

How about a review on the new Benelli 828U Sport? That would be awesome. Maybe a comparison to the Blaser F16 because of the same price point.

Lloyd Pattison but Krieghoff offer barrel and stock weights.... just not currently with the gun as a package off the shelf
