Struck a chord with me mate, I truly love mine. Love the b fast system. It’s proper marmite on the clay ground, but that’s only aesthetics, people can’t knock the dt11 platform. Brilliant review as always.

    Hello Lloyd,
I am in the process of purchasing a Kizilkaya RT25 here in the USA…..this gun is a “clone” of the DT11! The RT25 has ALL of the basic features of the DT11 but with a price point that is less than half of the Beretta. The cost of mine is $4700 (USD) and if you view that in British pounds that will set you back only £5700! There are some skeptics about the Turkish gun syndrome but this gun has grade 3-4 furniture, adjustable comb, removable trigger group, and weighs in about 8.5 lbs., when my gun arrives I will try to assess if it was worth the investment in aesthetics and functionality.
    Mike P. (USA)

Seen that gun. It was over here a few years back as a ceo victory rt25 the schematics have been doing the rounds from one bankrupt turkish manufacturer to the next . It is a clone action wise but the barrels are way way off the mark in comparison to a dt11. Dont be fooled it has nice timber and all but its not a dt11 and never will be

Looked at k80s Dt11s etc, ended up getting a 694. My main criteria was low felt recoil and k80 was harsh, dt11 i couldn't really tell the difference from the 694 so saved myself a lot of $£

My DT was also very tight and stiff. It began to loosen up after about 5k-6k shells and just now around the 10k mark it feels like a used gun. Also, I could not get the factory stock to fit properly, I went with a TSK and never looked back 👍🏻

I think Beretta has a winner in the DLC finish on these higher end competition guns. I believe the SL Series has this newer coating also. Fabulous gun- just can't go wrong with the DT11. That gun had a carbon fiber rib- but was the trigger unit all steel? Looked like it was, but hard to tell. Super review. Thanks Lloyd- from your friend in USA.

    DT11 is a good gun, I shot a DT10 for years but when I renewed I went for a K80 super sport.

Thanks - I like the looks and idea of the DLC. My concern is this - the 684 feels like a club in the hand, doesn't feel good at all. Finding a DT11 close to me to pick up and see - very hard to do. So spending 10k on "I hope it fits" is hard.

I have one and it is my favorite Beretta, however the DLC scratched very easily. I have lots of custom 1911s finished in DLC and they are in and out of kydex and no marks whatsoever. After 400 gentle rounds you could see wear on the dlc on the DT11 and a scratch on the underside of the barrel (under the forearm) that had me scratching my head wondering how it could've possibly happened. The best part is the Breech face wipes perfectly clean with a rag, no oil or clp needed.

Your comment on the wood is spot on in my opinion. I’ve seen many DT11s and for a premium gun at a premium price, the wood is nothing special. Occasionally you’ll come across one with a nicer piece of wood but as a general rule they are unremarkable and as you noted the grain isn’t filled in. They are however a solid gun.

Wonder have they sorted the problem with the carbon rib falling off I don’t know if I like or hate the green it’s like something I could get fall out of love with. I think the green would of looked better if it had the same gloss as the side of the action

Great review as usual, always spot on descriptions, good and bad points. I have 3 friends with SL's. The closest I have came to switching from a K80. The SL wood is stunning. But so is my Parcour X wood.

Another good review really Lloyd liked the look of this gun when I had a close up look at the BSS as others waiting to see when they offer a 694 version of the DLC. Looking for the larger grip so still on the look out for a suitable early version DT11 as advised by someone who knows there stuff.

Love the black action but not that bright day-glo swirl! Again just just a personal aesthetic view. I wonder how robust the carbon fibre rib would be if it was clanged off a sporting stand? Relative to the cost of the gun, a replacement would not be dangerous money I guess. Great review Lloyd 👍

  • @CraigK80
    @CraigK80 5 місяців тому +2

Time will tell on how the finish holds up and if the rib stays on. What no DLC coated chokes for the DLC? Looks to be overly stiff, like every other (new) DT11 I’ve shot, which leads onto the The only other issue I can see which is GMK, other than that looks mint, find a good one and you’re set for life simple as that, find a bad one and you’ll end up with a K80 😉

The DT 11 shotgun costs around 10,000-12,000 euros, which puts it in the premium class. I find the wood quality at Beretta rather modest. Krieghoff, Parazzi, Zoli, Fair, Browning, etc., all have better shotgun stocks. Even cheaper shotguns from Turkey have better quality. I think the workmanship and technology are very good.

Nice review. They should get rid of that Carbon fibre rib and trigger housing. The rib comes lose. 3 Guys at my local club expereienced that. For a gun at this pricepoint its just not acceptable.
They should also offer different colours on the action, green, silver, black, white, blue aso.

Will use it for high bird game shooting too.... thoughts.?????

Never mentioned that DLC stands for Diamond Like Carbon and this new finish was necessary because the European Union has banned certain chemicals necessitating Beretta to make the change.

You would think that Beretta would give you some excellent wood for the price. I had the same thing with my DT-10, the wood was awful, not so much the grain it was the finish. It looked like it was done be somebody in high school. I had to raise a lot of hell, sent them photos and I finally sent the stock back to get refinished. Terrible experience and will not own another Beretta.

@@AlsAllAussieAdventures wouldn't the person putting the gun in the right spot be the one winning the medals? I'm not arguing they are not a great gun, they are, but genuinely interested to know why people put them as the best, aftermarket and service is a valid point, no doubtedly we see more of them on clay tours as they offer the best sponsorship for top tier shots, just hard for me to accept them as some god level gun when the likes of robbie hall, sam green etc shooting numbers better than everyone using guns costing far less

@@fullchoke01 the shooter behind the gun always plays the biggest part mate, but providing you can shoot the DT11 is definietly one of the best tools for the job. DT 11 is certainly an excellent shotgun, but the best? It's also about who shoots the shotgun and for what purpose. When I think of Krieghoff, Perazi, Zoli, Rinzini etc., we also find first-class guns of high quality.

    Hi,
To be honest It's one of the best 👌 in the market.
Bit expensive though at least for most shooters.
Tons of technology and experience in gun making from Beretta.
    Loved that carbon rib.
As for the esthetics and balance features couldn't agree more.
Despite the fact that I truly love the dt series I fell in love at first sight with the SL2 mod
There's something genius about it and huge step ahead for Beretta.
It's not the usual recipe .
    It's a hypergun.
    Keep shooting.
    Keep smiling.
    Keep dreaming.
    Think positive.
    Best regards from Hellenic Republic
