    Hi, I am really big fan of your channel. Thank you for the great videos.
    I have one question about 692 black, does the color rub off on the receiver and barrels ?
    Because i like a gun that keeps its looks for a long time.

    What are you saying at 8:18?? "Great patterns, real low lead deformation, however better to use BLAH BLAH"???? Better to use what? I'm quite curious.

    Is there any difference between the 692 black edition and the standard 692? aside from the obvious colour difference & carbon fibre rib?

    I have been watching a lot of your videos. Keep up the good work! I was all set to go to my local gun shop to check one of these out until I Googled "Beretta 692 problems". Seems like a lot of complaints about ejectors, o-rings and the top tang screw. Have these issues been resolved?

    • @tgsoutdoors
      @tgsoutdoors  5 років тому +1

      Out of all of these issues the only one we have faced (and have had a lot of 69X through our hands) is the orings, which they resolved in the new ejector design.

    • @johnnyhonda4404
      @johnnyhonda4404 5 років тому

      Thanks for the reply! I thought I read that the ejectors have been redesigned but couldn't confirm it yet. I will go check one out to see how it fits.

      From some of your other comments it seems like you guys feel that the Black Edition handles better than the standard 692. Can you elaborate on that a little bit?

  • @bobcarter5223
    @bobcarter5223 6 років тому

    Just bought a new 692, (proofed in 2017) mine has non adjustable ejectors. I know some people have had problems with ejectors breaking so maybe they are getting rid of the adjustable design or maybe just saving money.

    • @tgsoutdoors
      @tgsoutdoors  6 років тому

      I think the idea of the adjustable ejectors was a good one, people however didn't like having to replace the o-rings, so they took a step back and decided to simplify and strengthen the base models.

    • @bobcarter5223
      @bobcarter5223 6 років тому

      Thanks for the info, you have a great set of vids. Do you know if the little flat retaining pins on this simplified design are readily available to Joe Public? They are quite small and fiddly and ripe for losing when cleaning the ejectors.

    • @tgsoutdoors
      @tgsoutdoors  6 років тому

      I think they can be ordered by dealers, they are never quick with delivery of small parts, but i agree tey are worth having a spare of two of. Give us a shout if you want us to order you a set

    Looking into the 692 black or the Caesar guerini summit impact with the adjustable rib or fabarms qrr what would you recommend for a all in one shotgun ?

    • @tgsoutdoors
      @tgsoutdoors  6 років тому

      The QRR is a bargain but not in the same league as the others, the 692 black is genuinely gorgeous in every way and the summit impact is a monster of a gun. The 692 black would be the best all in one shotgun, the impact the best dtl gun and qrr the easiest on the pocket

    • @pistoleer3572
      @pistoleer3572 5 років тому

      Got the QRR in 30in love it, and have just got rid of the Summit Impact for one of these in 32in! the Guerini is monster heavy for general sporting maybe the STL6 fabarm might be the middle ground

    Hi there guys
    I need a bit of advice, I have a Beretta A400 Light and a 690 black edition, I shoot about 50/50 Game and clays thought the year, the game i would be shooting would be mostly driven Snipe and Woodcock which i use my A400 for. I was in my local gun store yesterday and i was offered a deal for a new 692 silver action. I could trade in both my 690 and A400 for a straight swap on a new 692. I'm very temped as i love the 692. my question is would it be suitable as an all in one gun rather than having 2? I don't do a hugh amount of shooting in general so 1 gun may make more sense, i'm just worried about its weight and if it would look out of place in a rough shoot.

    • @tgsoutdoors
      @tgsoutdoors  5 років тому

      I'm sure it wouldn't look out of place, but i think it would have to be a 28" to have anywhere near enough speed for driven snipe or woodcock shooting. That might not then lend itself to competitive clay shooting

    • @adrianmorris4560
      @adrianmorris4560 5 років тому

      Thanks for the reply, I was thinking the same thing, I might just hold off for a while, my 690 has a 30” barrel and is an already impressive clay gun and the A400 just can’t be beating on a driven shoot, The offer was there and my impulse nearly got the better of me as I’ve always wanted a 692 and my mate in the gun store knows that.
      Thanks and keep up the great video’s, your reviews are very helpful.

    I like the 692 very much. I do dtl here in France and would soon be looking to buy a second gun, not sure whether to go for the 692 or the Fabarm rs trap. It would be for secondary use and as a spare for my mate who comes over now and again. Any chance of cleaning your hands and nails before the next video?

    • @tgsoutdoors
      @tgsoutdoors  7 років тому +3

      Buy a 692, not that the fabarm is a bad gun, but it second class by comparison. Hands and nails could be cleaned, but the soap salts rust guns, so he keeps his hands oily until 5pm.

    So if I understood correctly, compared to regular 692 the 692 black edition only offers nicer looks and a carbon fiber top rib which i presume reduces the weight a bit? As I'm looking for a competition trap gun the reduced weight actually is a bad thing for me personally. Hence my question is: is there any reason what so ever for me to pay the extra 700euros for the black edition gun vs regular Beretta 692 trap gun, as I'm not very interested in how the gun looks, rather how it performs? Do they handle the same I mean?

    • @tgsoutdoors
      @tgsoutdoors  5 років тому

      They handle very differently. Although you can add balancing weights to make either handle the same the 692 black and it’s lighter barrels seem to be much more controlled, making movements more repeatable

    • @tgsoutdoors

      Hi Wesley, the rib is actually ridged along the length of the rib. But isn't overly textured.

      We haven't heard of anything too bad, the early 690's had a few black action finish issues but so far the 692 finish and mechanisms seem to be holding up just fine.

    Brace yourself Gun Shop, I'm going to give some very honest feedback. The review is random and meandering, and overly emphasizes that the appearance really "does it" for the reviewer. I don't mind a little of this, but it's probably 1/4 of the total commentary. Not much substance here, and the speaker is only marginally familiar with the gun. Terrible focus (next time, take it off auto-focus, set it on f 8.0, and re-shoot if it's crap.) The content could have easily been covered in less than 5 minutes. In the "pro" column, it shows an occasional view of the 692 Black. Hard to come by, so it's not a complete throw-away video, until someone else does a more polished job. Sorry
