I in such a groove wit rain outside an B&W flicks inside
I love the old b/w serials nothing but good fun beats the crap they play on today's t.v thanks for posting
Great stuff. I enjoyed it.
Ha ha! There wasn't a jungle setting in any episode! Thank you for uploading this. This was way better than I expected. I was hooked from the first episode.
The original title was "Secret Service in Darkest Africa". I don't know whose idea it was to put the word jungle in the title for the re-release.
Thank you for this serial.Great action I appreciate
Nice Afternoon theater😍
I recall how tense I was as a kid watching these cliff hanger serials and today I am laughing. Thanks for posting. Good on ya mate.
Fabulous
Fantastic, stupendous, exciting fight scenes, great story. The set carpenters must have had a great job building and repairing the sets.
I liked it ! I thought it was fun and entertaining to watch 😂😃👏👍👍🐴🐴🐎🐎🐎
Lol, Bennett still won't learn his lesson about handling his gun. Comes in the door, announces get em up, walks right on top them, gets gun knocked out of his hand, every single time. But hey so entertaining, keep them coming!
It's only fair the nazis do exactly the same thing.
They sure can take a punch 🤛 fun watching
These really are a lot of fun!
The Rumble in the jungle little too long😎🤣shorter sweater
When these serials were made they were to be shown weekly, to sit here today and watch many episodes in one hit makes the whole lot look repititious , which it is, but once a week over a period of nearly 4 months is a different proposition. Directed by 'The King Of Serials' SPENCER BENNET, this guy took the most mundane of material and turned it into Saturday matinee entertainment, also remenber that this stuff was done during a war
76 years ago, and we are still watching it for all its faults - how many of todays 'super heroes' movies will be around in 76 years and if so how archaic will they appear?
Definitely
Rod Cameron was very good in male action leads.
You have to give
Those Writers. Alot of credit
For coming up.
With the story line
And use of imagination
For the weapons they created
He got a Hemmi under hood😎
Rod Cameron must have been pissed at the Director in every episode where his character Rex could have shot Wolfe and his gang at multiple occasions, instead of just telling them to hold up and wait for a fist fight. Him being in western movies and all where one shoots first and then ask questions later. Lol.
The hat seems to never come off the hero’s had. Wonder what kind of glue they used back then.
Harrison Ford eat your heart out!
Notice the agreement is "without prejudice." This means the signatory can rescind the agreement if at some later date he determines that the other party has committed perjury or fraud or did not up-front fully disclose all the terms and condition, i.e. he can reject the agreement because the other party was dishonest or a deceiver. The IRS uses force, violence and aggression against anyone who signs a 1040 "without prejudice" as they don't want anyone to retain his full rights. Voluntary signatures mean the signatory has lost his free will, freedom to choose, and his neck is under the heel of the IRS and the judges and the commie/socialist politicians.
Wait a minute here! There were NO jungles in this entire series!! Just a whole lot of broken furniture, in just about every scene.
The original title of the serial was Secret Service in darkest Africa. I have no idea whose bright idea was to rename it with the word jungle in the title for the re-release.
AtomicAgePictures I hope and wish you try to include more Republic Serials in the near future. I'm glad to find your channel which is wholesome in itself.
No manhunt, no jungles
LOL The original title of this serial was Secret Service in Darkest Africa.
vs michael
The French Officer
After this
He resigned. And a few years later
He became the Cisco Kid
I watch another serial with the character of Rex Bennett. In that serial Bennett wasn't very smart and I didn't think he could get any dumber but I was wrong. The Sultan tells Bennett he was shot at so Bennett investigates and walks right into a trap. One would think that would give Bennett pause but no he keeps right on telegraphing his every move to the fake Sultan. What a dunce. Ever heard of a 'ringer' Bennett?
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I think when they mean the United Nations not the building but the nation's United against Germany Italy and japanas we all know the United Nations building was not open til 1946 four years after this serial was released
Winston Churchill and Roosevelt were formulating the charter for the United Nations as early as 1942. They brought Joseph Stalin into it sometime in 1943. This was actually fairly common knowledge to the press and there are some reports that refer to the Allies as the United Nations at that time.
Yeah, I was wondering about that.
And everything is in California.
I don't look too hard at serials. It ruins the fun.
What holds his hat on.
Hat glue. It sold by the ton in old Hollywood.
It's not the greatest serial, but it moves so fast and has so much action you don't even realize it doesn't have a plot.
thank you so much for this comedy .....it made Green Hornet, Batman and Superman look like mega hits.....who wrote this shit and what the hell was the director thinking....every fight scene predictable and right on Que....also love that in every fight seen they are out numbered and you can expect someone swinging from a rope and a harpoon getting thrown...... Love this predictable turd in black and white...... thanks for sharing.
What do you want from this film accuracy or escapism.
NAARPI International
Your polished prose and sophisticated film criticism will cause viewers to cringe in embarrassment at their own enjoyment of a production you so authoritatively characterize as a "turd".
Remember that these things weren't all shown back to back like you're watching them but once per week so even though the fights are ridiculously predictable they're part of the weekly fight people paid to see.
