well I'm impressed! Dude swam all the way across a river to catch up with a ship, and his cap stayed on his head, and he wasn't even exhausted. They just don't make men like that any more.
It's hard to believe that it took almost 60 years for me to view this serial again. I first saw it on Ch 5 WRAL in Raleigh , NC It was shown on a kids show called "Cap'n Five". in the afternoon after school. To describe this serial as "action packed" is an understatement. Squeezing in at least 2 fistfights per chapter plus an occasional shootout was amazing for a 15 min. episode. Couldn't keep out with the body count; though most 'victims' were evil Nazi's and their Arab henchmen. It was also very un-PC but so what. The USA was at war and we knew who the enemy was.
This is frikn AWSOME....makes johny weismüller in "tarzan and the NAT-zee's look lame....oh wait....it is lame...lol...but seriously...the fight scene is amazing....and they even had to speed it up to fit it in...lol...coolest black n white short flik EVEEEER. ....more ....more ....more...thanks.
A good quality film...nice...worth watching just for that..!! Did you notice some of the names of the characters: A Baron Von Rommler ( Rommel...close..! ), then another German character named Luger ( need I mention what the word Luger stands for...LOL. ! ). I love watching these old movies and serials set back in the 1940's and later; the location scenery is fun to watch, the vehicles are really cool to see... they were fairly new and actually worked..LOL.., and of course the clothes. A time machine trip..!!
