Love these videos. I’ve been following the choppers since I was a kid. I had a movie with them and Ian Roussell and Keith Weesner And a bunch of people. Super cool that you’re making videos now and we get to see the old cars.
Definitely More Hot Rod stuff. I currently own an old mustang and I wanna get into the Hot Rod scene. Thats how I found you over a year ago when you had 2k subs. Heading to TROG this weekend. Keep up the great work. 👍🏽
Yo Big Ben ! I gotta say ...as a Dad to a couple teenage knuckleheads ...and also being a car guy .... YOU are a lucky S.O.B. to be able to share this hot rod car culture with Pops !!! PRICELESS DUDE !!! ...o by the way ... your videography is crazy top notch !!!! Fueling up that 32 ,,,got me thirsty 🍺⛽ !! ROCK on BRO ! Tarantino 's waiting !!!
Your so lucky to have this time with your dad.... Some of the best times I had with my dad was late nights in the garage getting our 78 Malibu ready for the drag strip... Those days i cherish.... Is great that you are able to record this with your dad.... Keep up the great work and get those hot rods running !
I saw the T built on some show back then as a kid and fell in love with hot rods. Found two model T bodies shortly after and built one. Been hot rodding since with the theme of traditional style only thanks to that build. Crazy how much time has past! awesome to see it handed down to the next generation too.
Cool '32. I remember seeing all of the Shifters Hot Rods back in the old days, arriving at all of the car shows. It really made a huge impact on me. Great video
My dream as a child ... the first time I saw a Hot Rod was in an American car magazine ... I remember it as if it were yesterday ... the title of the magazine was big ... Ford 1932 Hot Rod, I was 7 years old, today I have it tattooed on my arm ... it is the dream to be fulfilled ... thanks Ben for uploading this video ... it brought me memories as a child. A hug and greetings.
Agree!! These re the big kid version of those plastic toy cars for little kids that came with their own plastic wrenches. Less is more for me! Always wanted a st rod before I croak. Missed a neighbors T bucket who passed away 2 yrs ago...missed by 1 day! Built in the 60s, solid lifter 283 M21 jag rearend all the vintage speed parts it was amazing!
It is really great to see a real deal late '50s to early '60s street rod so well preserved. The nailhead really sets it off. I hope you get it street safe but dont mess with it otherwise. I'm building a '41 Ford p/u trying to capture that era but will never hit the mark like that duece!
I've watched a fair number of videos where people had issues with that oil pressure line so I decided to run copper line in my nova and I'm very glad I did!
Cool rods just get cooler! I once bought a junkyard 289 to swap into my first 65 Mustang. Even after having to modify and swap water pump, bell housing and several brackets, I had that thing on the road in three days. I was shocked after static timing it and turning the key. It roared to life on the first crank! Back in the poor days, these were great successes. Your videos bring back my youth!
this is awesome man. my grandpa just finished his 34 year build of his 34 ford. he put one of his old indycar engines in this thing from when he raced in the 70s and a ford 9 in rear. attached to a 5 speed manual and man his thing just absolutely shreds pavement i think he toned it down to just under 750 to the wheel
I LOVE nailhead powered hot rods. I have a '56 Buick restored, with a completely rebuilt 322 V8 (nailhead of course). Even in that big boat it gets down the road.
Very cool car! I have had the same kind of oil leak a couple of times in my life! When I saw the Stingrays I was pretty thrilled! Back when I went crazy collecting Krate bikes I had 28 bikes in all of the colors! Then I got back more into cars and only have a couple left! Your video is an inspiration to not let my Mustang sit any longer! It hasn't left the garage in about a year! Time to get it started up again!
Awesome keep up the videos! Keep both you and your dad motivated on them, it something that you two will both never forgot and will grow the history and story of the those cars
Yes!! Love your dad’s cars! I was involved with “the over the hill gang” in San Bernardino in early 70’s. One of the first 20 members and first club branch, Pomona, 4 members. Life happens and put 36 Chevy delivery in my garage. Now 50 years later building a new car. Trying to locate a nailhead! Really hard to find one. Know one for sale?? Get more videos on putting 32 and nailhead on road! I’d love to see that thanks
Hey Ben...being someone who saw the original Rides show, I really enjoyed this...and it was great to see Bad News again. Your camera work is terrific. All the best to you.
Thanks for having a Schwinn Stingray Cameo. I love your "HOT ROD" because it makes me want to watch "Hot Rod Gang" or "Dragstrip Girl". Buick Nailhead's are torque monsters for their day.
Love seeing oddball engines in these old st rods, Sbc sbf are ok but like bellybuttons everybody has one. There were some real cool engines by all makers back then that look supercool as well.
You and your dad are cool. Your garage is beautiful. What we saw here is what exactly happens while working on a hot rod. Brings back great memories. You gave a new subscriber. Thanks. 👍😎
"DO IT"! You guys gotta fix the car ! Ya just can't let it set any more, she needs to "LIVE"! Man, there ain't nothing better than seeing "Old American Steel On 4 Wheels" cruising around with the driver & passenger smiling ear to ear! Love It !
My dad was a big car guy from the late 50s-80s and lost interest once everything went all electric. I inherited the hotrod bug and hope to work on my car with my kid in the driveway one day. Great to see the two of you working together.
Fun video. Thanks for making it and sharing. Reminds me of my grandsons helping me on my five year 30 Model A project we finished about a year ago. I hope it was a good learning opportunity for them and a life long obsession like cars have been for me.
That's my dream car! Man I'd love to have a 32. I have a 35 5 window coupe that my dad has owned since 1980, when he passed i inherited it, and someday I'll have enough time and money to build it! For now I have a 68 F100 on the road to take to shows though :)
Sorry to here about you pops passing. Same story here my dad handed down his 34 to me. Was stored for 20+ years. Never preped for that. Wasted no time getting it back on the road every spare min. I got goes to her. Dad was a member of the local street rods. I used to go to meets with him . The club was in a parade once it was on my birthday . It was so cool I was 8 years old . Ever since then I wanted a Hot Rod. Thanks Dad I think you would be proud of how I have her looking on a poor man's budget.
Dig your films Ben. Your dad and his club are huge inspiration for me. Get that deuce on the road! That magazine cover changed my life forever. Love the added sound effects. Keep Up the good work
Kool 5 window Aaron and Ben! I assumed it was on the road this whole time! 322 with chrome goodies. I dig it! I'm putting a 322 in Johnny and Joe Zupan's '50 Ford panel truck work truck that they drove when they weren't driving the Bettancourt/Zupan Merc! Looking for some chrome goodies for a 322 myself!
'32 with a '40 dash! Nice! I have a '40 myself! About to put the purchase on a '28 soon, that's been in my friends grandpa's barn for a long time.. LOL
Definitely your most artsy fartsy video yet!! You and dad are inspiring me to get working on the Bricklin, nah, only been 5 years since started, so I got a few years to go!
These rods deserve a second chance at life. It would be so much fun to take them to shows after you get them going. Talk about time machines! Clean 'em up, fix 'em up and drive them like you stole 'em! Good luck with them guys and keep the videos coming. Subscribed!
G'day from West Australia, 😉 Get out the elbow grease, do the work and drive it. Have fun on the journey, then enjoy the journey down the road guy's.🙂👍👍
Awesome! Your Dad has some awesome cars and of course I love your Mustang! Can't wait to see these hot rods running again. I remember seeing Bad News in a video about the Chopper car club a long time ago.
I'd love to see your progress on this. I live in England and Customising is really expensive here, so I have to live my custom car Dreams through UA-cam. Great content .

Awesome! And thanks!
So cool to see a young man excited about old hot rods, keep it up!!
Absolutely you should get it going again. Love to see old cars brought back to life. Hot rods included. Thanks for sharing.
This why I love old cars, you can work on them simple like Lego unlike modern cars where you need a computer degree just to fix the smallest things.
Agree!! These re the big kid version of those plastic toy cars for little kids that came with their own plastic wrenches.
Less is more for me! Always wanted a st rod before I croak.

Cool rods just get cooler!
