Thank you. I was actually following along. Paused video alot. Before I realized It was a hamburger, lol I was making it into an ice cream cone instead lol. So informative. I've had a few streamers tell me I should look into making twitch emotes. I just started using Procreate a couple months ago. Your is the first step by step video that say's what to do from start to finish. Thank you also for the two app's I had no clue about! Many thanks.
I'm so happy this tutorial was able to help you step by step!
Shay! This was an awesome tutorial! Can't wait to watch the next one!
New to procreate and digital art in general. Learned so many helpful tips that I hadn't discovered yet while playing with the program! Cannot thank you enough!
Thanks for video helped me out a ton! I got a iPad Pro last Christmas but never used it and recently got into digital work so thought I'd put it to use but didn't know where to begin. I also loved the step by step process you showed can't wait to get into this more.

I just found your channel and you did a great job. Ty. I look forward to watching more of your videos. God bless.
This was an incredibly informative video! Thank you so much for creating it! I've been a huge fan of Procreate for years now and do lots of art on it, but only recently got into streaming on Twitch. Thank you for sharing all this! I followed you on Twitch too (or will do, as soon as I finish storing this comment...)
I'm glad you found it helpful!!! Procreate is an amazing app!! Thanks for the follow as well!
Awesome first video!
I'm an artist that has just started my dive into emote and sticker art. Thank you so much for this tutorial as I feel like I'll get myself off on the right foot with this information more so than if I tried to do it all on my own. thnx!
You’re very welcome thanks for watching! I have a few more videos on the way too :)
This video was great for someone thinking of starting dabbling in drawing some emotes. Thank you

I like your video!❤️ Thank you 💕
This is so helpful. I used procreate to make my first emotes and I made some silly mistakes. Will definitely reference this while making emotes from now on. Thank you!
You're so welcome!
Thank u so much for explain everything so well🙏🏻✨
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for the tutorial
I’m happy it helped ☺️
This is super helpful, when I made emotes in the past and they were too small.
Also to help with avoiding the unwanted marks, you can set your iPad to only draw with the pen. It also makes it easier for procreate to recognize shortcuts
Great tip!
Thank you very helpful 😊🎉
nice work flow :)
Your way of resizing the emotes is so great! I've had a lot of ppl ask me how to resize in procreate since doing resizing using the resize option looks pretty crappy. I'll def have to try this method! Thanks for the extra info on your methods of making emotes in procreate, very useful!
thank you! i have a very in depth linework tutorial too regarding emotes i released last week :)
You're an absolute pleasure to watch. Got my sub.
Thank you!
This was very clear and helpful, thank you

@@VideogameShay i may have missed something! what DPI did you use for the 500 x 500 image. as well as for all the resized images :)?
Thank you so much!!
Shay is iconic! Y'all need to subscribe!
I made an emote for my boyfriend's twitch channel since he's just starting out and I have not found a video as detailed as this one! I loved the video and your little emote pun. Will subscribe on here and follow on twitch!

I have to say that you taught me something about Procreate that I didn't know. And now I feel rather silly that I didn't know it before. So thank you!
Haha well I’m glad I can help! Sometimes I still find myself learning things that seem so obvious!
I just found your channel. I can’t draw at all but this looks very fun
Thank you so much 😀
Been wanting to create some emote ideas myself & your video helped me so much. (Was struggling trying to find a good process on Procreate) Thank you so much! Got my 1st self made emote ready to go so much faster with your tutorial 💖 your vid deserves way more views!
Thank you so much uwu
i love your video, ty
Super useful video!! I do twitch emotes but just got my new iPad and pencil. What brush settings do you use, I use the same studio pen brush, but a slight pressure change creates a non smooth taper
Thank you so much beautiful
Hey,
I'm just starting to draw the emote, I've also downloaded procreate and I already love drawing with the i pad. First of all, thank you for your videos, which really helped me to get started. I just have one more question, could you tell me what settings you have for the studio ink (->stabilization settings)? I've tried it but it feels strange and the contours don't look as clean as yours. Would be very grateful for a feedback!
What a great tutorial, I feel inspired to draw hundreds of emotes now!
Not me on a sofa, iPad against my knees, hunched back while watching this 😂
Awesome video
Thanks!
@@VideogameShay welcome 🙏
You can change your settings to where you can only draw with the pencil so you don't need the glove! I have mine set to only do gestures with my fingers, and click settings and tools but I can't draw with anything more than my pencil!
I've never ever done digital art nor chibi style in my life but I've been wanting to try and create emotes for my streamer friends and this was so helpful and amazing! I'm feeling even more motivated to go and try but I don't know if I'm delusional for thinking I could do this when I've never done it before.
Everyone in everything has to start somewhere first - even pro athletes started not knowing anything about their sport! You've got this!
@@VideogameShay awwww thank you so much for the encouragement. I'm going to get an Apple pencil and start following your tutorials and see what comes out of that!
Hey! Amazing tutorial! So I wanted to make them animated! Would you possibly be able to make a tutorial for that please and thank you?
Subbed. Looking forward to seeing more vids from you
Thanks for the sub!
My iPad is 11 inch iPad Pro and I got my first ever commissions to draw stickers like this!
Congrats!
This was a great informative video thanks. Will you make a how to twitch banner video?
This could be an option!
Subbed!
Thank you!!
Thaks for the subtitles in spanish 🙌💖
i love u Shay.
wonderful greetings from mexico
Greetings! Thanks for watching!
Love the video I am a new streamer trying to make new emotes and I have a IPad but if I don’t have a apple pincel am I still able to draw with my finger or will it not work just wondering before I purchase procreate
Hi shay!!, thank you for this video, you help me a lot.
You can make animated emotes with Procreate?
Yes you can!
CRAZY!!!!!!! :D
Shay on YT hype!!!
Thank youuu!!! More art videos in the near future!! 💕
Hello! Thank you for the great tutorial. How did you set up the tiny window in the top left corner to preview the smaller size?
It's called a "reference" window, it's in the settings on the top left hand corner!
Hi, Shay! Thank you for this great tutorial! It's pretty straight forward and easy to follow. Just one question, though: at 13:58, do you also send the Procreate file to the client, or just the images themselves? A bit confused about this last bit. 😅
I upload the images to a google drive folder which then gets shared with the client :)
@@VideogameShay Ohh, I mean there's a part at the end where you select the 3 projects in Procreate and click Share. Is that the same?
Awesome video. Would definitely try it if my art was any better then horrible stick figures
Love this tuto ! How do you manage the text ? like "HYPE", "GG"... ? you use procreate too ?
No I do all my fonts afterwards in photoshop! Procreate's text feature is hot garbage (@procreate pls make it better)
Ugh I loved your tutorial! You explained really well and at a good pace. I did watch other tutorials but yours was just different, it would be great if you made more! 🫶🏻 or if you just streamed it too, I’m now a fan lol. I just need to figure out my art style for when I can add emotes to my channel. And a friend of mine also wants me to make him emotes so I’ve been practicing 🙃
Anyway thank you it was so helpful! I plan on watching it over some time again to follow along and make my own version of it, and going to make sure I have Google Drive set on my iPad and what not
If I could like this video 1000 times I would
thank you!!!
Hi, thanks for your videos! Question, if you are resizing this way for an animated emote would you copy canvas for each layer into the new sized canvas? Or is there a better way for animated emotes... having a hard time figuring out resizing my animated emotes.
Yep this is how I do it - I find it turns out better when I copy each layer separately to the smaller canvas. I’m not sure why but I’ve noticed a big difference this way!
Procreate is the only thing Apple didn't overprice. I LOVE procreate so much! - Great video
RIGHT?!?!??! $10 is a steal
Great tutorial! One question though, what dpi did you make your canvas?
I always use 300DPI!
@@VideogameShay thank you! I’m newer to digital and half the time it’s not mentioned or everyone says something different lol
Great tutorial! Is there any difference if I start using 300 dpi or 100 dpi in the first canvas? (500x500px)
Cause some people say things change a bit, what do you think? Do you use a specific dpi format?
I still stick to 300DPI - the reason being is that you can include more detail in that vs only 100 DPI. You're essentially adding more "pixel" information which translates to better detail. 300 is usually the standard.
